Hi Guys

I'm having a few issues with my DD and bf at the moment... I could possibly be pregnant (I find out tomorrow!!) and was wondering if any mums out there found bubs went off bf when they were first pregnant with a subsequent child?

I'm seriously hoping that's the issue, otherwise she has decided to wean herself - not so bad if she'd take a bottle!!

Thanks!

Cheers!

Hi

I've heard that can happen - apparently the taste changes, or something like that? But who'd know *that* really.. :) All those hormones floating around must make a difference...

BTW congrats in advance if you are preg, you lucky cow! (lol - soooo jealous)

Maybe she will take a bottle now if you offer? Maybe the lesser of two evils now?

Fingers crossed for you!!!

Hi Miranda.. and fingers crossed for you being pregnant :D
Here is a link to an article from the ABA on breast refusal.. they talk about how pregnancy can be a factor... a few mums I know have also said the same thing. The article also talks about ways to deal with it.

Here you go and good luck

I have heard that babies can go off of breast milk if you are pregnant with another child, i never had that problem though, i was 4 months pregnant with Bailey my second son when i stopped breastfeeding Blaze, Blaze was 10 months old. It can be different for everyone. Goodluck with your pregnancy keep us updated.
