Its my hubbys first day at a new job and I want to cook him something special.
I have some extra trim pork leg steaks, I have never cooked pork before, any suggestions?

Definately my fave would be to tenderise them & crumb them (even though my thighs don't need the crumbs!)
Nothing better than pork schnitzels. Fry them until golden and then pop them into the oven so they'll be tender and juicy.

A few things i do with pork steaks..paint them (with a pastry brush) with a bit of hoisin sauce (or you could try sweet chilli) and bake them for about 15-20 mins in a hot oven...they come out tasty and tender. You could also pan fry them if you prefer. Served with some steamed bok choy...yumm
Or you could cover them in some seeded mustard and honey and bake them. I would serve this one with some steamed carrots and broccoli.

mmmm. pork is my fave: I love to marinate them for an hour or so, in equal parts soy sauce, olive oil, honey and some garlic.
Then pan fry, yummo!

I like to BBQ them - just plain & then serve with fresh snow peas (steamed in the microwave) and sweet potato mash.
If you don't want ot BBQ them, you can also pan fry, but be sure not to overcook them. Take them off when they are still just a little pink inside & allow them to rest under some foil.
I like my pork with a little apple sauce too.

We are having these tonight! They did have any pork chops left so I had to go for steaks. I have never cooked them either. I was just giong to cook them on the george forman, serve them with salad and boiled potatos. I am boring tonight but its to hot to have the oven on and do some nice cooking like the ladies have said in the above posts.

I normally do my butterfly steaks in the Breville Health Grill (or Foreman, whatever you have), they turn out sooo tender and moist! We have them with creamy mashed tatie, snow peas and carrots, and lots of gravy!
Mmmmm....haven't had 'em in a while, might do them this week!
I'll be trying the schnitzel idea with them too MD!
