Oh how i love the Nurfen!

G is a big boy (as most of you know) and we have struggled getting him to settle with his teething - he has been in too much pain. My Gp suggested to give him nurfen and see if it works better - even tho his is just shy of 6 months (2 weeks) - as he is a big boy and it is directed by a GP...

well Hurrah! Gave it to him last night. There was no fighting with the bottle like panadol. There was no struggle with the dosing device. And it was given really easy. It kicked in quicker - and lasted longer.

Oh how i love the Nurfen...

I gave him panadol this morning - as i knew it wasnt as bad as last night. I hate giving him so much - but its only for a couple of days at a time -and he is teething really bad... Poor mite.

I like the nurofen dosage thingy too, it's much better than panadol....

But beware ..... when you get to the end of the bottle you won't know because you can't see through the stupid bottle to see how much is left. So you can bet your booty you'll go to use it at 2am when your kid is screaming and discover NONE LEFT!

Seriously drives me crazy, I don't understand why it's in a bottle that you can't see what's left, and because it's fairly thick you can't tell by shaking it either! :banghead:

Sorry I've been wanting to vent about that for ages :o

The baby panadol is almost as bad - the label covers all of it and its dark too - but you can hear it.

Thanks for the advance warning!

Emmylou- sunlight reduces the effectiveness of some of Nurofen's ingredients, that's why many liquid med's come in brown bottles  Just thought I'd let you know.. Annoying, isn't it!! :banghead:

Ronan's heart condition has recently cleared up, so it's ok for him to use Nurofen now- it worked great when he was getting a molar a few weeks ago. We only use it at night.

Nurofen is number 1 in this house in terms of pain for the kids. (Whereas Panadiene is number 1 for me, and panadol for DP lol)

Either way, my DD HATES medicine
