View Full Version : First cycle in few days #6
firsttimeivf :hugs: Hi there. I am so sorry to hear your nurse is being so blunt. I wish i could help you here, but i have not got to this stage. Surely with levels rising, this is good? What are you going to do in terms of drugs, can you still take your drugs? This must be so hard on you.. Can you go to a Doctor and ask for a test? I really dont know how to answer your questions, it seems so confusing right now, i really hope you get some answers. Let us know how you go, i am here if you need anyone to talk to, but dont give up just yet, i have heard of peoples levels rising slowly before. A 2nd opinion is always good. Goodluck
macca27975 Hello there. Welcome to this site. You will love it here. Everyone is very helpful, and you will find out so much information. I was on Puregon 150iu on my first cycle, which didnt get me too far, then my 2nd one i was on 300iu, and last one, which we went all the way with, i was on 450iu, but we didnt get pregnant with that cycle. IVF is so hard at times, but i know with the support you will get from this site, you will find it so much easier to deal with. We did ICSI, and we will try again probably in March next year. I wish you all the best with your EPU, you will be fine. Keep us posted as to how you are going, and remember we are all here whenever you need to chat about it.

:smiliedance: Welcome home Beatrice and Cian!!!:smiliedance:
Good job DH on the posts!!!
hello to everyone
hope you are all well.
welcome home to Beatrice and Cian. it must be amazing to finally have your bundle of joy at home with you, dh and your mum.
firstimeivf: well your nurse sounds very rude and blunt. you hcg levels still sound good to me as they havent dropped at all. but i still cant tell you much as i havent got that far yet. i hope you get some more answers soon.
well dh and i went to the U2 concert last night and it was fantastic. we had so much fun. we left home early and went into crown and played some roulete (didnt win) then went to the stadium and had dinner in there.
i also got really sore feet (blisters all over both feet) from the shoes i was wearing as we walked from crown to the stadium about 2km.
but besides that we had a great night.
dh and i just went down to the local river and had fish and chips down there as it was a warm day here in melb. and we couldnt be bothered cooking.
hope everyone has a good night.
welcome home Beatrice and Cian, and thank you to your wonderful husband for keeping us up to date with how things are going. Cant wait to see some more pics. I loved the last one, where you were holding Cian, and he was looking right up at you, so loving , like he knew you. It was a beautiful photo. All the best, i hope you are both well. xxxxx :hugs: :hugs:

Good Evening Lovely Ladies....if this post sounds very mellow it's because I'm listening to "the eagles"
shajake: thankyou so much for your making me feel really relieved. After reading I realised that it could be the placenta moving and doesn't have to be a 'bad' thing at all...unfortunately, my GP won't give me a refferral to my OB until I reach 12 weeks, I've already asked him but I could ask him again., because I really do feel so reassured after seeing him.
Bradysmum: thankyou for being there Saturday night when I had my fright = your so special = I don't know what I would have done without you just knowing there was someone there, right then helped emensely :hugs:
firsttimeivf - emma: your not a psycho hunny, you sound too normal :=) Your doctor is going by the results in front him = not your body = I would trust that the test is negative and he said it was undisbuted. Having said that though, I would trust your instincts also and the changes your noticing. I have had a simular thing happen to me., 2 faint positive hpt's one negative bt but I've missed 2 AF's and have lots of noticable changes...not everyone's bodies are the same, sometimes it takes longer :fingerscrossed: for you
mel-j: yes the avatar is really sweet isn't it :=) I need a change and thought it was inspirational. I'll let you know how all goes after my appt ((hugs))
L.j: the funny post was my DP!! You would have felt a little awkward at first but sounds like the girls at your clinic have given you much needed encouragement and inspiration to keep going; which is wonderful for you so happy. when it comes to TTC I reckon it helps to be absolutely stubborn that you'll be having a baby no matter what ((hugs))
sksty: I am glad it stopped to, you know I was so worried there for a while. I had one of those moments today, you know the type. Your not sure whether to laugh or cry. Well, it was all because of my DS, he copped an eye full of what was on the screen when I was on the computer and read the last line about unfreezing your little guy...well low and behold if DS didn't just puff his chest out in profound 10 year old knowledge and say this: "it takes 3 minutes to thaw six chicken nuggets, how long do you put the baby in the microwave to thaw out?"
fourboys: it's not over till AF = keep positive = fingerscrossed for you..
Jacquit: thanks for your kind words, I appreciate them. I was thinking of you to as you haven't being around, how are you? Your a third of the way there to your next try, it will go fast.
macca: welcome, you've come to right place there is so much support here. hope all goes well for you.
Beatrice: Welcome Home:hugs:
Leanne-j: WoW U2 ... I would have LOVED to have gone!! I love them so much...they post-poned a few times because the edge's daughter was very sick. What were they like live? WoW that's like 'once in a life-time-type concert'...!!!!!!
~*:|:*~ ~*:|:*~ ~*:|:*~
Things are looking better here...had a wonderful day today with no hiccups. We are looking forward to seeing the doctor in a couple of days to see where we are up too...it would be so nice if we are expecting, as it would be all I need for christmas. Both sides of the family are eagerly awaiting news of our empending arrival so to be able to indulge them would be fantastic. I'll continue to take things steady but easy and had wanted a early night as I was aiming for 9:30pm but had to post.........so now I must go and rest
hope all is going well at your house, talk tomorrow xxx

Missed you too Beatrice!!! xoxooxox
LJHarmony, oh hun, you are so sweet! Im praying you get the news you want when you see the doc. What day are you going? Have a lovely night and get some rest!!:hugs:
Leanne, Im glad you enjoyed the concert hun. Sounds like you and DH had a great time together. Its always nice spending time with them! MMMmm fish and chips YUMMY!!
Emma, the IVF nurse sounds very rude indeed! From what I have read your levels are going up and that sounds like a good thing to me hun. Keep us posted on your progress. :fingerscrossed:
I will do more personals tomorrow girlies!!!!
Beatrice- welcome home to you and your little miracle Cian. and thanks to your dh for keeping us up to date on you two.:hugs:
LJHarmony- Aren't they just priceless. i wish it was that easy. glad to hear that everything is going well just rest up, it would be a lovely present for all with positive news for christmas
Leannej- the u2 concert sounded great it's wonderful to have some fun with dh without any stress. sorry to hear you had no luck at the crown.
macca27975- welcome your gonna love it here the ladies are wonderful and i think they know more thean the nurses sometimes. i wish i found this site while i was going through it for the first time i wouldn't have been such a mess.
firsttimeivf- that is horrible and that nurse had no right saying that to you she has made me so mad. why don't you ring your dr and ask then what they think even if its just your GP.
like i said you wouldn't even know your levels if you weren't going through ivf so stay positive.;)
jacquit- not only do we have to ride the ivf train but we have a few stations to get through on the way, but you are probably the same as me you will do whatever it takes to get your dream.
it's great that you have lost some weight i don't know about you but my meds don't help so i have been dieting too.
hope af arrives soon for you so you can get the ball rolling.:fingerscrossed:
to everyone else hello and catch up soon
Good morning girls - just a quickie - I am at work
Hope everyone is having a good day and big hugs to u all :hugs:
LJHarmony and Firstimeivfer - I am keeping my fingers tightly crossed for you both. All sounds positive for u both at this stage. LJ good luck with your docs appt in a few days - can't wait to hear how it goes. Rest up. Emma your levels are still going up which I think is great!! Mine had crashed to 7 at this stage. Stay positive hun. I know it is hard as you try and listen to the nurses and FS as they are the experts but sometimes there is an "intuition" there that u cannot explain and u continue going with your gut feeling. I so hope this all continues rising for you. Good luck for Thursday with your appointment. Stay postitive
Beatrice & CIAN - Welcome home mum and bub!!! I bet u still cannot beleive it. Sending all my love to u and your family - I love the photos. Be sure to send more please :hugs:
Beatrice, Welcome home. Now the fun really starts. How did your first night at home go?
shajake- how are you feeling the weather is so hot, and i know when i was pregnant i was hot all the time bet your really feeling it.
Beatrice= hope your first night at home went well.
well the clinic has just called me to let me know my first embie didn't un freeze so they took another one out and i'm booked in tomorrow at 12 so 2ww here i come.:smiliedance:

Good Afternoon Girls
Well I went for my Doctor’s appointment today…
I wasn’t going to say anything until later in the week because
I thought he’d do another BT and I wouldn’t have had the results until tomorrow
And after you ring family etc, etc
So anyway to my surprise he wanted to do a pregnancy test…
It didn’t come up a :bfp: but he wasn’t entirely certain it was a confidant :bfn: either
Damn limbo land again :banghead:
So I am going for an ultra-sound as soon as I can get an appointment
As I’ve said before girls, we are cool with what every happens
This time we have come close, so if by chance we aren’t pregnant
It isn’t far away and we look forward to when we can begin trying again
wish us luck with this one :wizard:
Beatrice - how exciting? It is such an amazing time. Savour it it goes so quickly.
Emma - I hope this resolves itself with a large HCG spike soon to shut up those nurses.
Macca - Best of luck and it wonderful to have you joining us. Ask us anything.
Well I finally ovulated this cycle (Day 22 what a wait) so FET is Saturday, I can't help being a little excited.
Although if I fall pregnant bub will be due the same day as my Daughter just two year later, how funny! :D

Hi Ladies
Hope you don't mind me popping into this thread...I have my first cycle of IVF, I have my egg pick up friday
Was not going to do IVF but when I went in for my scan yesterday (after being on clomid) I had 4 maybe 5 follicles...now I am going in tommorrow for another scan, as my FS thinks there will be more
So we have decided not to waste this cycle and go ahead with IVF
I am very excited:smiliedance:
Cheers Helen
Hi becH
All the best for sat. VERY exciting. I hope all goes well this time.
Thinking of you

And sksty
All the best for TOMORROW. Really exciting!

Helenwantsabub Hi there, welcome to bubhub. I know you will love it here, you will get heaps of information and help from people. I just wanted to wish you all the best for your scan tomorrow, and for your EPU on Friday, im sure you will be fine. I usually only get 4 follicles, but i have had 2 eggs from them before, so heres hoping you have a great result.
sksty Hi there, all the best for tomorrow, wow how exciting is this. I bet you are relieved that it is all coming together now. You must be so happy. Please let us know how you go.
BecH Hi, i just wanted to wish you all the best for your FET on Saturday, i know how excited you must be, its so relieving once you get to that point. All the best :hugs:
LJHarmony Oh how frustrating for you :banghead: to have neither a :bfp: or a :bfn: result. Obviously you are hoping for the first one, but to not know either, i bet you are fed up.. Though obviously inside you are feeling good about it all, i guess once the ultrasound comes around, you will know for sure, so lets hope you can get in soon for that. Remember some people dont always show up with a positive for a while. Did the doctor take your blood? If not, will they?

Hi there,
I am a first timer to this site and after reading lots of different threads, I think/ hope I'm in the right spot. I am currently doing IVF, and I know no one else on IVF to chat with. I am 30 years old and am very lucky to have been blessed with two beautiful children DD(7) and DS(5) concieved naturally. After many months of trying to concieve baby number 3 it was discovered I had PCOS, anyhow after a long drawn out saga with Dh sperm it was decided we do IVF. So here I am, my follicle scan was Friday last week and I had 24 all up, which i can tell you left me excited there was that many, but also quite bloated and scared fearing OHSS, but it seems to have settled and I am due for my trigger injection Wed and EPU this Friday. So hopefully I'm in the right thread???? Goodluck to all those trying, you sound like wonderful women, who will make wonderful Mums.:)
Natel- Welcome and goodluck it's great in here you are definetly in the right spot
Bradysmum- still sick but getting better thanks
LJHarmony- the worst is just not knowing isn't it but hopefully it will be a distant memory soon:fingerscrossed:
Jacquit- thanks for thinking of me your a very strong person although you had badluck first time around you have been there to support everyone else:kiss:
Helenwantsabub- hopefully you get your christmas wish
Bech- we are pretty much the same i ovulated on day 22 as well and thats really late for me as my cycle is usually 28days i go in tomorrow for my FET so we will be on the 2ww together hopefully we both get:bfp: for christmas
Helenwantsabub Hi, im glad you are feeling better about your follicles. You know, it only takes 1 egg to make your dream come true, oh, well, you know, and some good sperm ;) but seriously, you should be happy with 4 follicles, i am sending lots of luck your way for a great result. Dont hesitate to ask any questions when you need to.
Natel Hi and welcome to bubhub. You have done so well with 24 follicles, thats a great result. I bet you are happy with that. Goodluck with EPU Friday, i hope all goes well, and you can then join some others on the 2 week wait, and hopefully you get a :bfp: at the end of it all. Its a very hard time, very draining, but we all go through it in the hope of getting that beautiful miracle, and i really hope you can have that dream come true. Let us know how you go. All the best :hugs:
sksty Hi, and again, goodluck for tomorrow, i wish you all the best, im sure you will be fine. Cant wait to hear how you go. Have a good night sleep and take care.

Good morning all
LJHarmony - I am sorry your results were not definate. Heres hoping your scan shows up something more definate? I wonder what the spotting was all about the other day? You must be so confused - sending you big cyber hugs:hugs: - Stay strong
BecH - good luck for your FET on Saturday. Are u transfering 1 or 2? Take is easy and rest up. I will be thinking of you on Friday during the thawing and on Saturday. Take care
Sksty - Good luck today. I am sorry your first little emby was not strong enough to get thru the thawing and am so glad you had others your could use. Just remember a 50% success rate for thawing is pretty good. Thinking of you
Hi to everyone else and sending loads of baby dust your way :wizard:
sksty, I'm hot and sticky. Today's good though, nice cool breeze coming through the house.
Bradysmum, I'm well. How are you?

hi everyone,
sksty: Hope today went well today. Been thinking of you.
Will send messages to others later as I'm just heading into a meeting..... Got todays Beta HCG. What do you think ? This is the "story so far"
14 days past transfer: 36
15 days past transfer: 50
16 days past tranfer: 67
17 days past transfer: 95
18 days past transfer: No test !!!!
19 days past transfer: 163
I know they are going up at an acceptable rate - but from everything I've read they just seem too low to be viable....What do you think?
Thanks girls for all your support, Will read back over everyones news and messages tonight.
Love a very sad and confused Emma X:confused:
Oh Emma - you poor thing. You must be driving yourself mad with worry and questions. I am not sure what to make of it?? Your levels are still going up so I guess that is better than down. Do you still have your appointment with your FS tomorrow?? I am hoping they can answer some of your questions and I am really hoping they can give you some positive news. Listen to them carefully and ask LOADS of questions but please don't loose hope. We are all here for you :hugs: :hugs:
Hi everyone.
At long last the sun shines in Auckland and the temps get above 20!!!! Aboout time. But i bet the weekend will be rubbish weather.
Nothing to report. Just very very busy at the moment with our kitchen renovations and the finishing up of the term at school. At least there's heaps of fun things going on at school to keep the mind stimulated.
Off to Weight Wathcers shortly, but know I haven't lost anything this week. Nevermind. i've been SOOOO good that I'm sure the weight will drop eventually. And I suppose AF is drawing near, i always weigh a bit more then - anyone else get that?? In some ways I'm hoping AF comes so I can ring the clinic and get another cycle booked. BUT, on the other hand, i'd love AF not to come and be pleasantly surprised that we had conceived naturally... yeah yeah, just dreaming.
Righto, down to the personals....
Firsttimeivf (emma) - I don't really understand what you are testing but to me it sounds positive if levels are rising. Take it easy and relax as much as you can, please don't worry, or at least try not too.
Bradysmum - oooohhh Brady is nearly 1, can you believe it! a whole year passed already and I bet it only feels like the brith was yesterday. Thinking of you and hoping all your Chrissy plans are getting organised (as well as the 1 year old party).
Sksty: thanks for saying something so nice to me. That was really special!
Natel and helenwantsabub: welcome to ivf bubhub. DEFINITELY the right place to be.
Beatrice: Welcome home mummy and bubba. Thinking of you and love your avatar picture.
AND TO EVERYONE ELSE, EVERYONE.... Thinking of you all and following your posts everyday. Good luck with FET's, EPU's and ET's to come.

Good Afternoon Girls
We blow me down if today wasn’t another really busy day –
We haven’t stopped since getting up this morning,
It’s nice to be home and relax, unwind…
After posting yesterday, I rang the imaging center and
They managed to fit me in today!! :yelclap:
So I’ve had my Ultra-sound
Before getting into the results of this
Let me just quickly recap what we have so far:
2 faint positive hpt’s
1 negative BT
1 inconclusive doctor’s pregnancy test
and now after my ultra-sound
1 inconclusive ultra-sound
By this, we mean, and I quote from the registrar conducting the ultra-sound,
“While there seems to be ‘something’ there in the uterus, it’s inconclusive
due to the dates that I have being given. To say that your pregnant would be
foolish without further blood test’s.” :ecomcity:
by this he meant, that if I am pregnant, I have conceived in the last
4 to 5 weeks…..not 10 like we thought.
So now it’s back to the doctor’s for more pin cushion treatment.
So Alas it seems our baby will be named Houdini
Because while the experts (:detective: ) can see traces of where he has being
They can’t find where he has gone :wizard: <= our baby!!
LJHarmony Oh my god. How weird is this getting??? Gosh i bet you cant wait to find out the actual story eventually! This is so bizzare. Well, i truly hope that you do find out soon, and that there is a little guy in there, and i tell you, if he is, then he is one special fella.

Hi Ladies
Looks like I will not be staying in this thread:confused:
( although I will be checking on everyone progress)
I had my second scan today and only 2 follicles out of 5 had matured, so we are going to go ahead with IUI as normal and not do IVF
I was a little disappointed, till my darling DH pointed out that I have 2 very juicy ( both 20mm) follicles...so it is very positive still:fingerscrossed:
Thanks for all your advise but...I will let you know how we get on....IUI is on friday:smiliedance:
Cheers Helen

LJHarmony,
I have never heard of such a tricky little bub to be before. While its not a no, it is still looking good for you. I have seen on a different thread here that a few ladies have had negative blood tests but are currently a few months pregnant or holding there bundles now, the body is a very mysterious thing sometimes. I am looking forward to seeing a BFP very soon.
I have only two sleeps now till the 2ww is over. I was silly enough to do another HPT this morning, negative again, not that I was surprised, I figured I might as well use it though.
BECH good luck with your FET, if my result on Friday is BFN I will be following your path soon.
Helenwantsabub Hi there, do not be discouraged by 2 follicles, gee those 20mm follicles are great. Can you do IVF or do you have to do IUI? Goodluck either way.

Helenwantsabub Hi there, do not be discouraged by 2 follicles, gee those 20mm follicles are great. Can you do IVF or do you have to do IUI? Goodluck either way.
I will be doing IUI on friday.....I know I shouldn't be discouraged...I am actually really excited now that I have sat down and really thought about it....I feel really positive:smiliedance:
Cheers Helen
helenwantsabub- thats great news about your follicles and you should stick around and let us know what happens with you
LJHarmony- you must be going just nuts i hope they can shed some more light on it for you asap it must be killing you
Jacquit- what happened with your cancelled cycle did you have eggs cause if you did you just never know what could happen so i hope af doesn't come and you get alittle chrissy suprise:fingerscrossed:
firsttimeivf- sorry hun i can't help you have you spoken to your fs about your results if you can't see them why don't you ring and ask to speak to them.
where are you going for your bt to your GP and if so what does he say about your results. they have to find out whats going on with you cause if there is an etoptic like the nurse said they have to treat you, but hopefully he is just a late bloomer.
LJ- thanks i didn't know that
Bradysmum- we'll the dr said that cause the embies are at blasto it should embed tonight or tomorrow so i guess what ever will be will be.
we'll i had my transfer today and the dr said my cervix was nearly upside down so i dn't know what happened there my after Bree don't know but anyway she said my af should arrive Monday or Thursday going by my dates of ovulation and i have to go back next friday for bt.
can i just ask what you guys do after a transfer?
fs pulled and pushed me around to flip my cervix so i'm so sore but have not sat down all day cause Bree still needs everything so just wondering what everyone else does.
so the waiting begins.:bfp: :bfn:
:wizard:
fourboys- hopefully your bt shows a positive keeping my fingers crossed for you.
is anyone else on the 2ww
Helenwantsabub Hi there, i am glad you are feeling confidant. That is great. You are doing really well. Goodluck. Let me know how you go.
Sorry ofr my ignorance everyone, but what actually is IUI?
Sksty: Got no eggs from my cancelled cycle. I mean, we got 24 follies or something like that but we didn't do an epu. My AF did come about 4 days after cancelled cycle but now I have no idea when i'm ovulating or what the heck is happening inside me. I'm just going to wait. But as you know, if we magically did get pregnant naturally, i'd have to get on to the clexane VERY quickly.
See you later girls.

TIME TO SAY THANK YOU ...
I have been overwhelmed by all the beautiful words from you Ladies ...
Thank you for your support .
Dh bought the laptop at the hospital and I cried so much after reading all the post .
All is well , trying to get into a routine ...
I will catch up with you all in couple of days . I need to find out who I am , where I live and where my bras are hiding !!!
I'm a bit lost but we are getting there !!!
I'm thinking of you :hugs: and sending you all the positive vibes from me and Cian.
Love you all wonderful Ladies .
Beatrice - It is often best to just allow yourself to be a bit lost in those first few weeks. I struggled trying to put routines into practice and it didn't work until Ruby was 9-10mths. Although it does work for many mums and bubs. Best of luck with sleep and feeding. Oh if you don't have one, a sling was a live saver for me!
LJHarmony - This just gets stranger and stranger. I hope so much for you that your little bub is staying put and you get a conclusive BFP soon.
Jacquit - It is good to see you around the thread again. I hope you get really lucky and concieve naturally. I didn't ovulate until day 22 of this cycle follwing IVF so you might find something similiar.
Skysty - Wow those little embies are in there now. I hope they are getting really cosy. It sucks for you that it was abit more complicated with the cervix problem. I hope you aren't as sore today. My only transfer last time I pretty much carried on as normal, which my Doctor said was fine, but some clinics recommend less lifting, cleaning and only exercise that doesn't raise your temp too much.
Fourboys - Best of luck tomorrow for your testing, it is so nerve racking. I hope you get your BFP so you don't have to do an FET. Although it is a lot more pleasant than IVF/ICSI, and because it was such a long cycle it gave me a chance to lose some weight and eat a bit better.
Helenwantsabub - Best of luck with your IUI, it has to be a nicer situation than IVF. I hope this is your BFP and you can complete your journey.
Bech- thanks i can't really remember what i did last time isn't that terrible we'll you would know no rest for the wicked with another monkey running around.
Jacquit- glad you asked what iui was i had no idea either. i started my Fragmin injections this morning and i have been on aspirin for a week leading up to my fet so i know where your at got to be really tuned into the body cause if it does happen it wont last if your not on the injections hay.
Beatrice- he is just so beautiful i was so lost for weeks and then without even realising it it all came together.
thinking of everyone.

Hello everyone,
Beatrice: So glad everything is going well for you and your little man - he is SOOOO adorable. Take it easy and enjoy !!
Natel - Welcome, I am pretty new here too and the ladies are so supportive and lovely. Your situation sounds very similar to me, No-one knows we are doing IVF and I find it difficult not having anyone to talk to. Thats why this forum is so fantastic. 24 follicles is great - Good luck for your EPU today, let us know how you go.
LJ: Thanks for your message and YES, I am going nuts !! I see the FS tommorow, so hopefully I MIGHT know a bit more then.
Jacquit - I can tell you with no shadow of a doubt that I most definately weigh more before and during af ! Wouldn't it be fabulous if you conceive naturally this month ! :fingerscrossed:
LJHarmony - How frustrating for you - you poor thing. I hope you find out something very very soon and that it is a great result for you. What is your instinct telling you?
Helenwantsabub - 2 x 20mm is great - good luck for today and please let us know how it goes.
fourboys - I know what you mean about the hpt's... I was hopeless. But I do believe that only the bt can give you the REAL result. I'm crossing everything for you and sending lots of baby dust your way.
sksty - you poor thing, it sounds like they really pushed and pulled you around. Just rest and take it easy and take care of yourself. XX
My update: Had ANOTHER BLOODY BT today - so sick of spending my breaks in pathology !! But anyway.... I will get result this afternoon and see the IVF doc tomorrow afternoon. Am starting to feel like it is doomed, but trying to be positive. The last results went from 95 to 163 in 48 hours so it is going up ok, I just think it is just too low for my dates.... Has anyone heard of IVF late implanters ?!?!?!?!?! That is the only way this could be a viable outcome, if for whatever reason my embie took a few days to find a resting place after transfer.
Thanks again for everyones kind words and support... The whole thing is just really driving me crazy ! I don't cope with the "not knowing" factor AT ALL.:banghead:
Love Emma XX
firsttimeivf- our bodies are strange things and nothing is straight forward that could be possible there is no set implant time so you never know hopefully you fs will do a scan to see whats going on or atleast send you for one. like i said my levels were slow at first and then picked up maybe he just needed alittle time
i found my levels chart so
transfer 19th march 2005
keep in mind my embie was at blasto so 5 days on from normal 4 cell transfer
so if you had a normal transfer take 5 days off your days to be the same as you.
day 5 after transfer levels 13
bt at ivf clinic day 9 levels 115
bt day 10 levels 203
had ultrasound day 17 cause levels were so low
had two sacks dr couldn't believe preg with twins and levels so low
bt day 19 after transfer levels 4813
from what i can see you are doing better than me and i had a :bfp:
so what day are you up too does that help?

Thanks so much sksy,
Your levels have given me some hope !!
I'm waiting to hear what they were today and then I'm hoping that tommorrow the doctor will do a scan to see if he can see anything.
I had a 2 day transfers....SOOOOO... would that mean that your day 10 after transfer level would be the same as my day 13 after transfer??????
And if I've worked that out correctly, does that mean at day 10 after transfer you were at 203 and at day 13 after transfer for me, I was below 36 ?
I'm hopeless at working out the days past stuff ?!! Am I doing it right ?
Thanks so much again,
Emma XXX
firsttimeivf, how are you doing you poor thing? I don't know much about the numbers thing

Hi girls:wave: ,
Well I am back on the IVF rollercoaster.
Had my planned FET today and I was so pleased with how it all went. Of course I spent all last night and this morning worrying about whether it would thaw ( only had 1 frozen ) and was expecting a call all morning saying " sorry, your little one didnt make it".
Well, thank God, our little girl is a strong one because she made it. She has gone through chromosome testing ( thats how I know she is a girl), she got through the freezing, then the thawing and to top it off she was nearly hatched out of her shell:D . The embryologist said that they like to see at least 80% of the cells survive, and ours had 95%! They also said she sprung back into shape quite quickly after the thawing, another good sign.So she is now snuggling into her mama who is so happy to have her there.
I am sorry about my bragging but I am just so happy with how it has gone so far. In IVF, it is like you have to celebrate every milestone, no matter at what stage it is reached. So I just want to say I am so proud of our little girl for fighting so hard and that no matter what happens from now we know she is trying her best.
Had acupuncture straight after ( trying to give this the best chance) and now I am going to have something to eat and lie back for the rest of the day.
Sorry this post has been all about me but just wanted to let all my cyber sisters share my good news. I hope everyone is doing well and I hope to catch up soon. So many newbies so it may take a bit!
Love and good wishes to all of us chasing the same dream,
Donna

Good Afternoon Girls...
thankyou all so much for your thoughts - - yes it is pretty unconventional to have this happen - - but I guess it's not that unusual for us! DP and I have always had a unconventional beginning so it's not that surprising now I come to think of it...
:: Emma :: Nice to hear that your hcg levels are rising nicely :fingerscrossed: for you
:: Donna :: Your not bragging hun, it's wonderful to hear such wonderful news ... she sounds like a gutsy lil girlie :smiliedance:
:: Mel :: both DP and I had a little giggle at your comment :D
thanks everyone
Tonysgirl Hi there :hugs: I am so happy to see you here again. I didnt realise you were having this done now. I am so happy to hear that you have your little girl snuggled up inside. I really hope she hangs on, she sounds like a top quality girl  I am sending lots of luck your way. I really hope this works for you. You are off to a great start. Well done.

Last day today. I want to say thankyou to everyone for their kind thoughts and well wishes, reading about everyones journey makes going through my own easier.
SKSTY, after ET I took it real easy for about 3 days, only because I had 18 eggs and was really sore and bloated. The Dr said I could carry on as normal and would start to feel more normal soon. After the swelling went down, life was as busy as ever and I was a part of it. I have been feeling like myself (physically) before I started IVF for about a week now which scares me because I dont have any symptons of pregnancy. Anyway, nothing I can do about it now other than pray, tomorrow is the day.

Just a quick update....
Result today was 252 !?!?!? Which is a GREAT increase from yesterday....but still so low !
I was booked into the IVF doc tommorrow at 2.30 and he has rung me just now and asked that I come and see him tonight at 5.15. WHY DO YOU THINK?????? He wouldn't tell me anymore over the phone, just said he'd chat to me about it all when i came in. What do you think is going on ??? I'm SCARED !
Thanks...Emma XX:confused:

firsttimeivf, hopefully he wants to do a scan and see if it coordinates with the numbers that you have got, by tomorrow they should increase again. Maybe he has another appointment to do tomorrow at 2.30, either way I have my fingers crossed that it will be a good outcome.
fourboys Hi, i just wanted to say goodluck for tomorrow. AF has stayed away, now thats a good sign. All the best and let us know how you go.
firsttimeivf Hmm, thats interesting having to go into the clinic. I cant wait to hear how you go. Your levels are still rising though, i wouldnt have thought they would do that if you werent pregnant??? Goodluck tonight.
Good one Tonysgirl!!!
You were very 'secretive' about the FET, i had no idea either!
Anyway, glad to hear it went superbly. Take it easy and best wishes to you for your 2WW.

Hey there everyone. Wow there has been some excitement here over the last few days.
Tonysgirl - Hey there Donna, u clever girl. Sounds like u have a little survivor there. I hope she is makeing herself comfy. I love that u know she is a girl and are already talking about "her". It makes it so more personal. Take care of yourself and your special cargo. I am so so glad the thawing went well. She is obviously keen to become part of your life. Do u know when your BT will be yet? BIG HUGS.......
Firstimeivfer - Emma I hope u are OK at your appointment and the FS is giving you some supportive news. I think it is great that your bloods are increasing. I am thinking of u and will pop back on later tonight to see how you are :hugs:
Fourboys - Good luck tomorrow hun. Sending you all the baby dust u need. I don't think it is bad if u are not having any pregnancy symptoms. To me I think that is a better sign than having heaps of cramps and your Af is not here so YAYY!!!!. Keep in touch
Jacquit and MelJ - Hi there. How are u girls? Any plans for the weekend?
LJHarmony - Wow your news is exciting!!!!!! It would be so wonderful if your BT's showed signs of a positive pregnancy over the next week or so. I wonder if your spotting over the weekend was ovulatory or implantation bleeding. Keep in touch - we are all thinking of you.
Have a good night everyone. DH and I are off to play mixed touch football tonight. I am very novice so am not that good but it is fun to have a run around and a laugh. I may as well get it in now as I am hoping I will not be in any state to be running around like that after Xmas. :fingerscrossed: I will duck in after our game to see if there is any new news

Thanks for the kind thoughts melj and LJ, AF has stayed away so far but the progesterone pessaries and tablets I am taking 3 times a day could be stopping it, the clinic warned me it might happen. I wasnt given any pregnyl injections after ET only the other stuff just mentioned.
I am getting butterflies now about tomorrow, I am wishing I was sleeping now so that it would pass even quicker, although a little voice says that I might be recieving a BFN so I shouldnt get too excited. ( I am hoping that voice is sooooooooo wrong.)
Thanks again.
Emma- If you want to it would be great to know how it went at the Doctor. I will continue to check tonight. I hope it is good, you deserve it after all this anguish.
Fourboys - Best of luck tomorrow:yelclap: . Try and sleep tonight, a warm glass of hot choc always helps me.
Tonysgirl - We will be in the 2WW together, my embies go in on Saturday morning. I have to test 13 days after that as we are going away on Day 14. I am so nervous to go through it all again, but I want to stay positive because I always feel it is more productive. It was wonderful to hear of your little embie she sounds like a fighter!!!!
Firsttimeivf- day 5 for me would have been day of transfer.
so day 17 for me would be day 12 for you.
hope the dr's went well
tonysgirl- we are nearly the same i had my fet yesterday when is your bt mine is friday next week.
hopefully your little girl is a strong one they say boys are quicker but girls are stronger and are fighters, so hopefully that is the case for you and you get a wonderful christmas present

Fourboys, 1 more sleep!!!!! Oh, Im so excited for you. Go to bed early so it comes quicker!!
sksty, how is Breanna? How are you feeling today? Hope your little embie has found a comfy position to settle in. Praying for you sweetie!!:hugs:
Tonysgirl, congrats on your FET hun!!! Your little girl sounds like a tough cookie and Im sure she will nestle comfy in her mumma. Take it easy and rest up!
LJHarmony, hopefully soon your BT and scans will show that your little one is there! I cant believe all this is happening to you. Whats going to happen next? What has the doctor said?

Shajake, hope you and your family are well.
Mel, how are you going? Hows DH?
Sorry if I have forgotten anyone. Hope you all have a great night. Take care xoxoxox
Hi Bradysmum  . Touch was fun. I am not that good at it but tonight I actually went for a dive to tag a player. The first time I missed and slid along on my tummy (I hit a wet patch of the feild) and the 2nd time I got the player and stopped her from getting a try. This time I hit the hardest part of the feild and in the process I have a big graze on my forearm and my knee is a little bruised and battered - oh well I guess some one has to take one for the team!!!! Ha - it makes me seem like I know what I am doing but beleive me I do not!! I don't care though. Just get out to do some exercise and have some fun.
You must be looking forward to Bradys party. I bet it still feels sureal sometimes that you have a baby boy (well he is a little man now isn't he?) especially after your long journey to conceive him. Give him a big hug and kiss for me.
I was hoping we may have heard from Emma by now - I hope she is OK and her news was positive. I am getting ready for bed - need to rest up my injuries :D so I will get on again in the morning to catch up on any news.
SWEET DREAMS EVERYONE
Goodmorning everyone, i hope you are all well today.
Beatrice Goodmorning, i know you must be very busy now, but i just wanted to say hi, and let you know i am thinking of you and Cian, i hope he is doing well. It must be lovely to have him here at last. I am sure you just sit and stare at him at times, it would be so magical. Take care. :hugs:
Tonysgirl Hello. I am hoping all is well with you. Do you feel ok today? Hopefully you feel wonderful and that little girl of yours is settling in well. Im so happy for you to have reached this stage. Take it easy for a few days, and make sure you relax a bit. When do you go for your BT? Wouldnt it be a fantastic Christmas present! I really pray that it all works for you. Have a good weekend.
sksty Hi there, how are you today? Are you sore still? I bet you are excited to finally be at this stage again. I know i was completely amazed i had made it that far. I hope i can get there again next year. Are you over your cold now? Hopefully so. I guess they will have to do without you for a little while at tennis now. I have my fingers crossed that this works for you. Did you say your BT was next Friday? I cant wait to hear how you go. Have a good weekend and take it easy.
firsttimeivf Hi. I am hoping all is well with you. We are all eagerly waiting to hear how your Doctors appointment went. This journey has been a bit of an up and down time for you, and it must be hard. I hope you got all the answers you needed from your Doctor. Have a good weekend, and if you get time, please let us know how you are.
Shajake Hello. I often think about you and how you are plodding along now. I am so eager to see your little bundles. I wonder if they will come early or hang on till due date. They may love it so much, that they keep you waiting! Have a good weekend.
LJHarmony Goodmorning. As always, i come on and eagerly await some more news from you. I am so puzzled at your Doctors appointments results. It is so strange. I really hope you get some news on it all soon. It would be lovely to know that you have a beautiful little bundle growing away there. It all sounds so positive. I bet you are also anxious. Have a good weekend, and please let us know as soon as you know what is happening. :hugs:
fourboys Goodmorning. Your BT is today right? I hope it all goes well for you. I cant wait to hear your results. It must be a weight off your shoulers to know that you will find out today. I think that 2ww is more like a 2month wait. It seems to go on forever. Goodluck with the test and please let us know how you go.
jacquit Hello there. How are you? Are you still waiting on AF? Im sure she makes us wait when we need her to hurry up the most, then when we dont want her to come, she does. I hope you had a great week, and have a good weekend.
LJ Hi there. How is your body after last nights game? I bet you are feeling the effects of it all now. I used to play, back when i was a tad younger. I think i was about 25 or so at the time. I loved it. I never did any daring dives like you though. It was mixed also, and a lot of the guys playing, were from the Rugby Club that we were playing at, so i can tell you, they were mighty big boys. Thinking back, maybe i should have gone for a tackle :p Anyway, i hope your body is recovering well from it. Sounds like you had fun. Have a great weekend.
BecH Goodmorning. I just wanted to wish you all the best for tomorrow morning. It must be so exciting for you to be there again. I have my fingers crossed for you. I am sure you will be fine. It would be such a great Christmas for all of you doing this right now. I know i would give up all presents just to get a positive result. Have an early night tonight, and please let us know how you go tomorrow.
Bradysmum Goodmorning, how are you today? How is Brady. I cant believe how soon his birthday is. I know he is too young now, but i wonder when he gets older, if he will love having a birthday so close to christmas, then he gets presents for his birthday, and in no time at all, he is lavashed again with pressies!! Sounds good to me. Have a great weekend.
Leannej Hi there, how are you? Long time no hear. I hope all is well. Have you had a busy week? I have been in and out a lot, appointments etc. I have my FS appointment next month, so i am eager to see what he wants to do next year with my cycle. I am sure you are eagerly waiting for your next cycle to come too. It is such a long process, and it feels sometimes that you just wont get there, but of course, we do, and then we have all the excitement of the 2ww. Well, sort of. I guess its a bit nerve wracking. Anyway, i hope you are well. Have a great weekend.
Helenwantsabub Hi, how are you? You mentioned you were going through with iui? When is that? Sorry if you have said when, but it gets so busy in here at times, and i forget where everyone is, i did look back over the thread though, and i didnt see it. I hope you are going along well, and i imagine you are feeling excited about the iui? Its a very stressful time going through this, but its so worth it to get that little bundle. I cant wait till i start my next cycle next year. Take care, and let us know how you go with your iui.
Trendy1 Hi, havent seen you on for a few days, i hope you are well. Have a great weekend.
mercimum Hi there, how are you? I hope all is well. Take care.
Hi to everyone else, i hope i didnt forget anyone, but i bet i did. Well, its Friday at last. Yippee. I dont have too much planned this weekend. I might go to the movies with DH tomorrow. I have put on 1kg by going to dinner at mums!! Damn those potato bakes. Anyway, i should be able to work it off on the treadmill in the next few days. Its so hard losing weight. I cant believe how hard it is. I am finding since hitting 30, ok i know it was a while ago, but... since then, its such a struggle to lose it. Anyway, enough talking, i am going on my treadmill now. Have a great weekend everyone, and i will pop in later.
MelJ - It's funny you said about giving up presents because that is exactly what we are doing, no presents. We are only doing charity this year, because my DH and I decided we were already so blessed so we don't need anything, Ruby will already get tons of presents from friends and family, and we are going away for two weeks in December to the beach, which she will love. I feel really cleansed to not have to stress about the perfect present, especially when the only thing we all want is a bubba.
Good luck with the weight loss, it is such a struggle.
bradysmum- 10 more sleeps to go till your little man is one can you believe it it goes too quickle. do you think you will be trying again so?
mel-j- still got the dreaded cold but it seems to be getting better but i think Bree is getting it back, hope not.
no tennis for me till i find out which is next Friday. i was already sick with Bree and i'm not this time i hope thats not a sign.
L.J- it great to get into sport good on you and good on you for taking one for the team i don't think i would be throwing myself on the field i'm abit of a baby.
hope everything is ok with everyone else.
firsttimeivf- i hope everything is ok i have been logging on all night and morning to see if you have posted i hope no news is good news and you are busy telling family and friends look forward to hearing from you:fingerscrossed:
fourboys- your bt is today isn't it good luck
BecH Giving to charity is a great idea. I am sure Ruby will get heaps. Do you still give to the other family members but just not eachother? I havent even started my Christmas shopping. But im the type that will leave it all till the last minute, and get it all done within a few hours. So i still have time. The beach for a holiday sounds fantastic. Im sure the 3 of you will have a ball. Goodluck for tomorrow.
sksty Im glad your cold is getting better, i really hope Bree doesnt get it. Have a good day.

Hi everyone,
Went to Melbourne last night so couldn't update how everything went.
After doctor asked me to come in I was really scared. Got there and he said my levels had risen again to 252, so are more than doubling in 48-72 hours. BUT, they are just way too low. By his way of thinking, I should have been at 252 on about Sunday/Monday not Thursday !
He did a scan and couldn't see anything anywhere, but as I am only 5 weeks today, he said it is normal not to see anything at this point. There was a nice thick lining and fluid consistent with pregnancy though.
ANYWAY..... the end result is that he is VERY sure that it is ectopic, but is prepared to just watch me very closely over the next few days to see what happens. As I have absolutely no pain at all, even when he poked and prodded, he thinks it isn't big enough to cause concern YET. I have bt today, tommorrow and again Monday. See him Sat afternoon and again Monday for a scan and just play it by ear. He said he guesses that I will get some pain in next day or two and will have to have a laproscopy to remove the pregnancy.
I asked him if there is ANY CHANCE that the pregnancy could turn viable ? He said he is doubtful, but you never know.
So, I am basically just waiting still and have more or less given up the thought of this pregnancy working out. Oh well !:gloomy:
LJHarmony - When do you find out some more about what is happening with you? Are you having more scans, tests, doc visits? I hope you are ok.
sksty - how are you feeling? I hope that little embie is burrying away.
LJ - Touch sounds like fun, Hope you're not to sore and sorry today though.
Bradysmum - If you don't mind me asking, how long did it take you to concieve Brady ? Was it on IVF?
Fourboys - Can't wait to hear how you go.:fingerscrossed:
Everyone else, Hello, hope you are all well, will post again tonight to catch up on the news.
Love Emma.

i have booked my appointment for the doctor's on tuesday - so it won't be until wednesday that we have the results
i kinda feel a little nervous saying "results" because nothing has being conclusive so far....and i just wonder how much more fun this houdini baby thinks we need before letting us know for sure :D
thankyou mel, bradysmum, L.j and everyone else giving support ... it is nuts and i can't begin to know whats happening ... just that the registrar did see a baby just not a nearly 11 wk old fetus, he saw one closer to 4 or 5 wks which are hard to pin-point so :fingerscrossed: that it all happens next week

Good morning everyone!!
L.J, wow, sounded like you had a ball last night!! Although, I keep imagining you with bandages everywhere!! LOL!! Im very much looking forward to Brady's b'day. I cant believe he is turning 1. I never thought we would celebrate anything like this ever. Hope you have a great day hun!:)
Firsttimeivf, Emma, sorry the doctor gave you this news. Hopefully your embie is in the right place and will continue to flourish. I will be praying for you hun. Brady is a IVF baby. We concieved him on our 6th cycle in March 2005 and we found out we were pregnant on April Fools Day! A wierd day for a BT huh?? LOL!!
Mel, I think Brady will love having b'day and xmas so close. More pressies!! I will find that Im always broke that time of year!! LOL! ! Damn your mums potatos!! No more!! ha ha!!! We are going to the inlaws for tea tonight and I gaurantee I will put on 10kilos!!
sksty, I would love to try for another one next year! I get excited thinking about it, although it scares me too. I want to wait until after my 30th bday and then start again in June. Have a great day hun give Breanna a cuddle for me!!:hugs:
BecH, good luck for tomorrow hun!! Fingerscrossed!!!
LJHarmony, I really hope you get some answers soon hun. It must drive you nuts not knowing whats happening! Good luck for Tuesday!!
Helenwantsabub Hi there, wow today, i didnt realise you were going in that quickly. That is great. You will be fine, and i wish you all the best for a :bfp: You will then be on the dreaded 2week wait then :banghead: i mean its great to get to it, but jeez its hard, those 2weeks seem like so much longer. Just keep busy, but not too busy!! Take it easy and relax bit. I cant wait to hear how you go. Goodluck with it all.
firsttimeivf Im really sorry to hear that your doctor thinks its an ectopic. Who knows though, he didnt say it was completely impossible that it isnt an ectopic. I hope things go alright for you. You know we are all here whenever you need to chat about it all. Goodluck :)
LJHarmony OOOH i cant wait till next week now. I cant wait to find out how you go. I bet you are getting eager now too. Have a great weekend, bring on Wednesdays phone call!!
firsttimeivf- i'm really sorry they don't think it is viable but you never know so don't give up hope just yet. if its ivf how can it be an etoptic don't they put it back in the right spot i thought you could only have that if it fertilized on the way down sorry i have no idea.
bradysmum- i'm scared too but the dr said now or never so now it is i just pray it works cause i don't know about the whole ivf thing again. do you have any eggs left? Bree gives Brady a cuddle too:hugs:
ljharmony- what a mistery you little bundle is being so if you aren't as far as you thought you were or are suppose to be then did you maybe fall naturally?
i have had some real pains today so i hope that doesn't mean af is going to come.
I have put on 1kg by going to dinner at mums!! Damn those potato bakes. Anyway, i should be able to work it off on the treadmill in the next few days. Its so hard losing weight. Mel J I know what you mean. it is so hard after 30. it really is. I only lost 100g at WW this week, hahahah. Well, at least it is travelling in the right direction.
So, i've lost 1.4kg in 2 weeks. not ad really, slow and steady wins the race.
No otehr personals sorry everyone, mega tired this week. usually only do 4 days but did 5 this week and it makes all the difference. it also means i have to do my housework on a friday night so my weekend is a little freed up.
Still thinking of you all!

I thought that by this time today my 2ww would have ended and I would be planning for a FET or celebrating. Neither is occurring. My result was such a weak positive that the blood is being sent to S&N Labs for confirmation, if I am lucky I may know later this afternoon, otherwise I have till wait till monday. The number was 5 or 6 this morning. Looks like their are a couple of us on this thread with pregnancys that are not sure if they are here or not. I feel like the 2ww is being extended. This will teach me to be patient.

sksty, it does sound funny though:laughing: !! Brady was a Frozen embie!!!:D
Fourboys - Best of luck that it continues to grow stronger over the next couple of days, who knew preg tests could be so ambigiuous.
Jacquit - I'm not yet at 30 but I lost 3kgs in two weeks and then put on 2kgs over the next two. I did ovulate however so I'm hoping it is fluid.
Well I rang the scientist today and my embryo's are already at 8 cells and compacted. They lost no cells in the thaw and she said my success rate should be the same as a fresh IVF cycle because they are for all purposes fresh embies. I was jumping around the house so excited.:smiliedance:
She said tomorrow they will be at least 16 cells. I can't wait to have them nestled inside me.
I feel this will be our last cycle for awhile, successful or not as we will be away for awhile, and also need to save some more money.

Bech GOOD LUCK FOR TOMORROW:thumbsup: .
The blood test came back, only 19, still very low but not a negative, I have to continue with the progesterone medicaiton just in case and have another blood test in a week to see if it is a viable pregnancy. I think I will have to join the 2ww again but halfway through. One week to go till I get a positive hopefully. With the levels so low, if it does go ahead Im sure their must be only one bub in there.( I had 2 implanted)
Anyone else start with really low levels but have had a successful pregnancy and baby.
BecH: Wahoooo, good luck for tomorrow. How many embies? In NZ we have a "law" that anyone 34 and under are only allowed one embie put in (that's for IVF, i'm sure the same for FET). Is it the same in Australia?
Fourboys: Thinking of you... but you know what, a faint positive is better than a BFN so its good!! All the best.
Bradysmum: when will you do another FET?
Sksty: Tony fergusson, never heard of him downunder downunder (NZ). But you know what, I fully go for Weight Watchers all the way because you can eat lots and not really eliminate anything except for really bad junk! but then again, if you are doing the points plan you can have that stuff too b ut it means you';d be hungry for most of the day as the junk would take up lots of points.
Don't know if i could handle shakes, is that Tony fergusson?
Sksty again - where are you up to again?? I thought you were having FET soon?? Right? So why would AF maybe be coming? I don't get the FET yet as I haven't done it, do you have to wait for ovulation??
Firsttimeivf: thinking fo you and hoping it isn't ectopic.
LJHarmony: good luck with results coming up soon.
Helenwantsabub: All the best for 2WW.
And everyone else, hello and be well.
Jacs
BecH Hi there, wow i couldnt believe it when i read how well your embies had gone. That is fantastic news, i think i would have jumped around the house also!! Well done. For them to be at least 16cell tomorrow is even better. I bet you are so happy. Goodluck again for tomorrow, i think you are going to have some great luck with those embies.
fourboys Hi, i just read your post, well you know, at least its not a negative. I guess you have to have to be happy with that. I dont know much about tests after and what they mean, because i havent got there yet. Try to stay positive, because you have got a feint positive. So thats still a positive!! :hugs:
sksty Hi there, lets hope those pains are nothing more than adjusting pains. I am sending you lots of goodluck vibes so that AF stays away.

 - baby dust and best wishes to you all
I am a newbie to this forum, so I just wanted to say hi.
I am on my first ICSI cycle, up to day 8, of Puregon (100) and day 21 of Luprin. Feeling good, a little bloated and tight in the lower tummy but good, however I don't think I will ever get use to these injections.
On my day 5 BT, my results where basically looking at my Oestrogen, which where 2400, the nurse said at day 5 they should be around 400 or 500, so they have reduced my Puregon to 100 instead of 150, to slows things down. They said a reading this high can mean either I have lots of little follicles growing or some rather big ones and at this rate if I didn't slow down I could over stimulate.
Today was day 8 BT & US and again basically looking at my Oestrogen and also seeing how many follicles are there and what size they are. Looks like reducing my Puregon to 100 has slowed things down a little which is great, so my Oestrogen was 4640 which they said was good for this stage in my cycle. The US showed 17 little follicles, 11 on the left and 6 on the right, but at the moment they are still a little on the small side and still need to do some growing so another BT & US on Monday.
I was also told not to expect all these follicles to have eggs and they don't always make it through to egg pick up, however I still was rather surprised at the number, I was really only expecting to see half that.
I am feeling much better from these test results today, was feeling that I was going to over stimulate and they were going to cancel the cycle but now all seems to be going good again so now we just have to wait and see!
Anyway I hope all are well and I hope I too can be as supportive as you are in the posts I have read so far :)

Hi everyone.
fourboys: Congratulations !! A positive is a positive. As you probably know I am going through hcg hell at the moment and can totally understand how you are feeling with worry about your low levels.... What day post transfer are you ???
bech: HOW EXCITING.... congrats on those beautiful little embies growing away. Good luck for the implant.
macca27295 - welcome. You will find everyone here so lovely and supportive. I hope your journey is as easy as it can be.
The latest on my STUPID blood tests.... Todays was 340 - gone up from 252 yesterday and 167 the day before - so it has gone up again at the right rate - the nurse actually said the doubling is "excellent" AARRGGHHHH. :banghead: But she said that they are really thinking ectopic and just have to continue on as we are, either until pain starts or levels go up past 1000 so they can see something on u/s.
At the moment though I have no pain at all and just feel very pregnant !! So confusing !
Hope you all have a great weekend.
Love Emma XXX
bech- goodluck for tomorrow
fourboys- thats great news a few pages back i posted my hcg levels for Bree to firsttimeivf so go ahead back and compair
jacquit- yeah it's the shakes but they aren't to bad actually
firsttimeivf- how frustrating
mel-j- i hope they are just pains that my embie is nestling in
macca27975 Hi and welcome. You will love it here, everyone is great. You are right with the follicles thing, unfortunately they dont all have eggs. Which is a bummer. Goodluck, you seem like you are going very well.

Hi Girls ,
Hope you are all well. I have just spent the last hour catching up on what is happening with everyone so I hope I get all this right! Thankyou all so much for your well wishes - they were so nice to read. My blood test will be on the 4/12 - Bradys birthday!
Beatrice, I know you are probably cuddling and kissing little Cian right now but just wanted to say hi and hope that you are doing really well. Is your mum still with you? Is little Cian being spoilt? Are you being treated like the Queen that you are?
Bradysmum, So glad to see you are still here giving all that much needed support to everyone. Brady is such a handsome little devil now. :hugs: What kind of party are you having for him? How is your nanna? Is she adjusting to the home?. Isnt it great that little Brady can bring a smile to her face. Childrens smiles are the best medicine!
MelJ, You are such a positive and loving girl. This year has been a tough one for you but you are always looking forward. Well done on the weight loss. I am hoping to gain weight - baby of course:laughing: .When is your next appointment with the doc?. Make sure you ask all the questions you need to. If I remember right your only fertility issue is your hubbies swimmers. But I would be asking him what else you could do to improve on the number of eggs you are making.Hope you have a great weekend hun:kiss:
LJ, You cracked me up with your post on touch footy! I have always been such a woos when it came to sport. The only thing I can manage to do is walking and even then it can be a struggle! Hope you are doing well hun and thanks so much for your continued support and good wishes. I really, really hope that 2007 will be the year for you.
LeanneJ, I know that you are in IVF limbo at the moment but just wanted to say hi hun.
Shajake, So glad everything is going well with the twins. Any ultrasounds lately? Do you know the sex?
Macmum, Hi hun. What are you up to ?
LJ Harmony, Hope your little "Houdini" comes out of hiding soon. Good luck for Tuesday hu. Just think of the wonderful story you can tell him/her when they are older!!
JBearsmum, How are you going hun? Still on the herbs and acupuncture? Did you enjoy the U2 concert? I loved it - so much that we went twice. Hope that Barry White music is getting played at your house....
Bech, Great news hun about your clever embies! No cells lost -0 that is the best result. You are a young chickadee so you really have such a wonderful chance. Good luck for tomorrow. It will be nice sharing that awful 2WW with you.
Mercimum, How are you doing hun. Are you still on a break?
Artymum, long time no hear hun, hope you are doing well.
Trendy, Hi hun. Are you also doing a FET this month?
Sksty, Another cyber sister to go through this 2WW hell with. Hope you are well hun.
Jacquit, So nice to see you are still keeping in touch hun. When is your appointment with the doc? DO you think he will approach the next cycle differently? Well done on the weight loss but by your picture you look perfect - must be the IVF ( well I used that excuse and I am sticking with it! )
Firstimeivf, you poor thing hun. As if IVF isnt enough to deal with, your 2WW has been srtetched to the max! I am so hoping that it all works out well for you and that you will know soon what is happening either way.And I hope you poor arms arent too bruised from all those blood tests.
Fourboys, Hi hun. Another one whose wait just gets longer. I hope that the next blood test sees the levels rising.
Well, as I have said I am now back down to reality. The excitement of yesterday has been slightly taken over by the worrying feelings of whether this will work. Will I get pregnant again? Will I make it past that 7 weeks scan?
So the obsession will begin. Are my boobs starting to hurt. Is that morning/afternoon/evening sickness? Is there a sign, any sign???
It is horrible but I dont think you can ever truly relax until that bub is in your arms. But as I said yesterday, my little girl sounds like a fighter ...
Hope everyone has a great weekend. We are going to an engagement tomorrow and then more feet up for me on Sunday.
Love
Donna

Macca, good luck with your cycle! Keep us updated on your progress hun!! Wishing you all the best!
Emma, my godness! You just wish someone would give you a straight answer don't you? Your levels are rising, that seems really good and you have no pains and that is a great sign regarding eptopics. I am thinking of you hun and praying your embie is fine and continues to grow.:fingerscrossed:
Tonysgirl, hi ya sweetie! I hope you do get some rest this weekend!! Sending heaps of BABY DUST to your embie:wizard: ! Brady is having a Wiggles party. firsttimeivf, my level of 19 was 14 day past transfer, I noticed that yours was almost double mine at the same stage. My nurse said some start low and pick up back not to get excited yet. I wil have another BT in a week. They seem to be giving you blood tests regularly.
stsky, I will try and find your post to Bree, thanks.
Thanks again for the good wishes everyone.
fourboys Goodmorning, how are you today? I hope you can have a good weekend and put everything out of your head for a while, yeah i know, not likely, but try to stay positive. Lets hope the week goes quickly for you and you get a great result at the end. Goodluck :hugs:
Beatrice Hi there, i hope all is going well in your household. I hope little Cian is doing well and allowing you to have some sleep at least
Bradysmum Hi there. Wow Bradys party sounds like heaps of fun. I bet he will have an absolute ball. How many little friends is he having along? I hope you are having a great weekend.
Leannej Hi there, how is your weekend going? Its so warm over here. I have my FS appointment on 4th Dec. Not long before yours. I think the nurse mentioned last time that they may get me to do a different cycle, like maybe a short regime or something? I think that means no pill?? I cant remember. Do you have any idea if your cycle will be changed at all? I think i will be asking them if there is anything i can do to get more follicles, but im not sure if there is? I am on , or was on the highest dose they give at that hospital apparently. I wonder if diet or being healthier etc can change it at all? There was a lady doing IVF when i was there last, and we chatted, she was 10 years older than me, but had around 15 follicles!! Her FSH level was lower than mine too! She ate very healthy and was a gym instructor. I just wonder whether that made a difference? Maybe her body was younger than mine inside due to all the fitness and eating?? I dont know, its just bizzare that she had such a better result when she was older.
LJHarmony Hi, how are you today? I hope you are having a great weekend. Is the weather nice where you are? Its very hot here today. Not long now till you find out what is going on inside. I cant wait to hear. Enjoy your weekend.
sksty Hello, how are you feeling today? Hopefully you are doing well. Take care.
BecH Hi, not sure if you will be online today, but i just wanted to say hi, and i hope all went well today with your transfer. I hope you get a chance to rest up today, and take it easy. All the best for the 2ww.
jacquit Hi there. How are you today? Any sign of AF yet? I hope you are having a great weekend.
LJ Hello. How is that poor body of yours today? Has it recovered from touch footy yet? Mine would take a few days to get over it sometimes. Yours will probably take a while, after your dives and tackles
Shajake Hello. I hope you are well, and enjoying the weekend.
Helenwantsabub Hi, how are you feeling today? Are you sore at all? I hope you are taking it easy, resting up. Are you having a quiet weekend? Do you know when you will be having your BT? I cant wait to hear how you go. You must be very excited to be at this stage? Take things easy, and have a great weekend.
Natel Hello there, how are you? Do you have much planned for this weekend? Did you have your trigger on Wednesday and EPU Friday? If so, i hope it all went well and that you are not too sore. When are you having your transfer? How exciting for you. Let us know how you go.
firsttimeivf Hi, how are you today? I hope you are trying to stay positive, like a few have said, dont give up yet. I hope your weekend is going well, and that you are feeling good, and no pains at all. Let us know how you go next week. Hopefully you will get a good result.
Tonysgirl Hi  How are you today? I hope you are feeling good and that your little embie is snuggling in and finding her way well. I have my FS appointment on 4th December, so we will see how it goes. I think we will probably try again in Feb or March. Not sure yet. Hopefully we have more luck this time, but i am glad that i know we can get to ET , because we actually got there last time. So i am hoping it is possible next time too. We really need a positive. So lets hope next year is our year, and lets hope this year is yours. I cant wait to hear how you go. It would be so fantastic to be reading a post that said you had a :bfp: so i am going to keep an eye out for it! Have a great weekend.
Trendy1 Hi, how are you? Havent seen you on for a while, i hope all is well. What are you doing this weekend? We are having another quiet one, funny when you are short on money, those types of weekend seem the go.
macmum Hi, havent seen you for a while either, i hope all is well with you. What have you been up to?
jbearsmum Hello, how are you? Tonysgirl got me thinking about that Barry White music!! How is that going? Did it set the scene for you?
mercimum Hi, i havent seen you on for a while either, i hope you are well.
artymum Hi, how are you?
Hello to everyone, i hope i havent missed anyone. I tried hard not to this time!! Knowing my luck i probably have though. I hope everyone is having a good weekend, it is hot here, DH is working thismorning, and then we might go to the beach for a while, then having a nice BBQ at home, i might try to be a whiz in the kitchen and make something nice. Hi Lovely ladies
How are we all? I've been trying to read all post daily but man its hard to keep up! Sound like there some confusign stuff goinig on at the moment with low levels and mystery scans. Things just aren't meant to be easy for us are they. I still think its amazing that people fall preg accidentally, I thinks it would be easier to win Tattslotto somethimes!
No much to report from me. Yes Tonysgirl ( lovely to hear from you again) Still doing the herbs abd accupuncture. Both DH and I doing t now and both feeling better for it!
Herbilist still VERY confident we can do this without IVF bit we have given ourselves until after Christmas to give it a good go and if no success will be back to IVF in January. Will do it in conjunction with the accupuncture. Have really good results from this! I have everything crossed for you. Its such a hard time during the 2ww, so many doubts pop into your head but keep on thinking positive. By the way.... U2 were awesome. Got robbie in december so really looking forward to that one too!
Hey Mel J.... How ya going darls!
Yes Barry kicked in for us again this month. Although I thiks my days were a bit strange, so now just waiting again! How are you going?
Hi to everyone else
Will be back on to do some more posts later just off for a walk!
See ya

jbearsmum Hi there, its great to see you on here. I missed the funny jokes, chats etc. Im glad Barry is working for you. I really hope yu guys can get some great results from the accupuncture. If not, at least you know you can try IVF again. Im sure it is benefiting in some way though. Im off to prepare my dinner, which is lean steak & capsicum kebabs on a bed of caramelised leek & mashed peas & potatoes. Just got it from a Woolworths Great Taste Magazine. Geez it looks delicious. It was in the book with sausages, but im trying to be healthy so i am doing lean steak kebabs instead. Take care. Great to see you on here again too :D

Hope you & dh are in good spirits for :tree: .
Hi tonysgirl thankyou for asking about me, sitting in the back stalls waiting for the big gallop to baby victory. Just a slow start. trying naturally until at least maybe march next year.
Not going anywhere though I am so addicted to where you guys are at on the rollercoaster. be it beginning, top or finish.
beatrice beatrice:where to begin. I look at your precious baby cian & can't help but shed a tear. As hard as it is for our dreams to maybe become harder each month,I bring myself to look at cian & say just 1 more try & maybe I will have an:angel: like yours. Thankyou so much also to your dh. Clever boy. He just fit right in, I had to read his post to make sure that it was not you posting.
lj-harmony you must be so very patient. I wait with abattered breath each day I get on. waiting waiting.please let it be great news. You know we are all here which ever way you fall.

SKSTY, I found your post, thankyou very much. If I calculate it correctly as I had a day two implant, your levels although low for twins are alot higher than mine. Im hoping that this one has implanted late and that is why it is low. It isnt something the nurses said but it is a thought that is keeping me hopeful. Thanks again for the info.

Leanne, hi hun! Hope your weekend is great.:hugs:
Jbearsmum, fingerscrossed for you this month. Just think, if you get pregnant, it was all thanks to Mr. Barry White:D !! Im so jealous that you are going to see Robbie in Dec. I wanted sooooo bad to go but we just couldnt afford the 2 tickets at the time!! I love him, I met him a few years back and I have the piccie on my fridge, he is sooo sexy!! Lucky you!!
Beatrice, oh, Cian is adorable, that piccie of him is lovely! Thanx for sharing it!
mercimum, sounds like you had a great day at the Zoo. Merci would have had a ball! Iv'e never been to Werribee Zoo, would you recommend it? Is it good? Fingerscrossed for you hun!:fingerscrossed:
Fourboys, thinking of you, and keeping my fingers tighty crossed!!:fingerscrossed:
Tonysgirl, hope the engagement party was good and you had a great time! Have a nice sleep in tomorrow!!
Take care girls, have a good night!
Hi girls,
Beatrice - I hope your days at home are going beautifully.
Bradysmum - How exciting about Brady's party. I think we had similiar numbers for Ruby's and it was such a busy day, but I loved it that way because it feels more exciting and full of energy.
Fourboys - I hope those levels start to pick up for you. Will you be preg. testing at home? I'm such a shocker with those things as I have no patience. I think once your levels are above 40-50 they show up at home on the wee stick (make sure it is your first wee though). Best of luck:wizard: and tons of baby dust.
Tonysgirl - How are you feeling? It is an excruciating wait at times. I hoipe it goes quicly and is that BFP we dream for.
Mel-j - For Chirstmas we are still buying for family and friends, although with our families I think it is a little wasteful to all buy each other something, I wish we could do a secret santa or soemthing (My DH's extended family is about 60, but we only buy one thing for each family which is about 7 family gifts). I love Christmas completely I just think the gift giving should be for people who really need it. Or something all the IVFer's want, a decent hit of baby dust.
How are you feeling?
Just a quickie from me. I had my two embies put back yesterday, they were both growing ahead of schedule, and were basically both at blastocyst at 4dyas post. I had my valium and brandy, the Doctor gives us to stop uterine contractions afterwards and came home and had a sleep. Ruby went to her Grandparents house in the afternoon and we went and saw "Borat" which gave me a good laugh (hope they didn't fall out :). I feel so peaceful compared to an IVF cycle that it seems a little surreal.
Hope everyone has a gorgeous Sunday we are having friends over for a BBQ and play some cards/cranium, which will be a great distraction.

Hi Ladies
A bit of an update on me:~
I am currently CD34 on our "rest" month, no sign of AF but also no +ve test result yet. Hence I am a little  .
Has anyone ever had their rest month cycle behave differently to a normal cycle? I am usually a 28-32 day cycle so until my IC tests arrive next week I really don't know what is going on (did a test on CD31 which was a BFN).
Any ideas???
Hi to all and thankyou for your warm wishes and support.
Just to fill in Friday was my EPU, which went very well, I had 24 follicles, and they expected maybe 15 eggs. After I came too they told me they had retrieve 26 eggs!!!!! Much to my FS suprise, go figure!! Apparently when I had my scan it was thought only 15 eggs would have been mature but some how the all made it. I was on 100mg fsh, then 150mg so i think even he was shocked. Of course then they were worried about OHSS, and that night my body went into like a shock and i ended up in hospital, worst night of my life, not alot of fun. But I kept thinking who cares 26 eggs. I came home and the next morning the lab rang and said 22 had fertilized, I was bawling, too many hormones i think.
So tomorrow i will speak to the lab for an update, and hopefully a blasto transfer on wednesday.
Also can you believe my husband sperm that had been at 2.6 millon and below 50% motility was at a whopping 60 millon and 60% motility, we don't know why he thinks it's because he was taking extra zinc, apparently that can help. Anyhow he's pretty happy with himself.
So hopefully i will be in the 2ww as of wed:fingerscrossed: .
Helenwantsabub Good luck with your 2ww, :fingerscrossed:
Firsttimeivf sorry to here they think it eptopic what a process of mixed feelings for you, no words will do so here's a big
:hugs: .
To eveyone else that wrote to me thankyou again.I read all the threads and it seems we are all waiting, waiting at some stage so it's great to have people doing the same thing. At least then you don't feel like you going nuts on your own:banghead: .
Good luck for all
Hi Leannelizzy,
My rest cycle, which is actually an FET took my 23 days just to ovulate so I imagine I wouldn't have had AF until day 37 or so. Hopefully though for you it is a BFP holding back that AF.
Good luck
Bec

Hope you are well hun and that your DH spoils you rotten this Xmas.Do you have anything special you want from Santa this year?
Cian, Thankyou hunny bunny for your cuddles and love, I felt them all the way here in Sydney. That photo of you is beautiful but I knew you would be beautiful before you were born because your mummy is so gorgeous. Tell mummy ( we call her Beatrice) that Aunty Donna says hello and that she hopes this magical time lasts a lifetime. Big kisses and hugs to your precious family:kiss:
LeanneJ, Thanks hun, I know I shouldnt worry. I dont even think it is worry that I struggle with, it is the negative feelings that creep in. But you are right, I am taking each day it comes.t is so hard seeing newborns when you are trying to conceive - we all know how you and your DH felt went you went out shopping. But you have so many years ahead of you to get that dream - but I really hope it will be you pushing that pram around next Christmas. Good luck with your appointment on the 7/12.
MelJ, Thanks hunny for you good wishes - I really hope I will be posting a BFP soon ...
Hun, you mentioned that you may do a shorter cycle next time. I have to tell you that really worked for me.My first cycle was long - got 10 eggs. Second cycle was short - got 20 eggs. And both when I was 39 years old. I think the shorter cycle tends you yield more eggs because it doesnt suppress you system first.Health and diet I am sure do have something to do with it but ultimately you cant change how many follicles your body will make each cycle. But I really believe you can help the quality of your eggs with certain vitamins. I have been using Co-Q10 and my Chinese Herbalist has me taking Lipoic Acid which is an anti-oxidant. Have you thought about trying acupuncture also to get all that nice nourishing blood flowing into the womb? Just some things to think about doing while you are on a break. Hope the appointment will give you some fresh ideas for the next cycle. And remember hun, each cycle for you has meant an improvement so it means that you are getting closer and closer, not going back. Have a great weekend - bet you are cooking up something so delicious. I am glad Tony doesnt read your posts - he would have me in that kitchen trying to match you!
JBearsmum, good to hear from you hun. I am so glad the herbalist has so much confidence- makes a nice change to have a professional being so encouraging. Even if you have to go back to IVF, I am sure all the good work you have been doing over the last few months will help with the success of the IVF. And seeing Robbie in concert ,well that has to help!! .
Sktsy, You are not alone in your impatince hun! My blood test is on the 4/12. I think you said yours is on the 1/12 so you have less time to be impatient!! Make sure we tell Santa all we want for Xmas is those two pink lines!!
Bech, What a dream cycle for you hun! Firstly you dont lose any cells in the thawing , now your embies are at blast by day 4! That is such good news hun - you must be so happy with that. Hoping that the laughter of Borat went down to your womb and gave those little embies a huge smile as they were making themselves comfy in you. Enjoy your BBQ today . When is your BT hun?
LeanneLizzy, hi hun. I do think going from a IVF cycle to a natural cycle does play games with the number of days in your cycle.Mine went from 28 to 42 then to 34. Give it a bit more time and then go see the doc for a BT to confirm whether it is a pregnancy( we hope! ) or just a delay while your body gets back to its normal routine.
Natel, Hi hun, you egg making machine! Sorry you ended up in hospital but I am glad to see it has calmed down. Between your eggs and your hubbies sperm, you are doing so well already ( men always feel so happy with themselves when it involves their little swimmers!!). Let us know how the transfer goes if it happens on Wednesday.
LJ, Jacqui, Mercimum, & LJ Harmony - hi girls, hope you are all doing well. And Angsmum, if you are out there, hi hun, miss you. Thought you may be doing a FET this month so good luck hun.
Well, I have rambled on so much, I will be brief with how I am going. Of course I dont feel pregnant but I am trying to remain postive. The FET is so different from a fersh cycle, I had so much cramping after the fresh (I had lots of follicles) that it feels weird not having them after the FET. And I met someone at the engagement party last night who had done 9 IVF cycles without any success and has given up. It didnt help to hear her story but it is all about facing the reality that this may not work. But hey, this is only number 2 for me and I have got a lot more fight left yet!! So my reality might be the dream...please God.
Take care ,
Love
Donna

Natel- my dh had really poor mobility and very low count. his mother saw a picture about zinc and bought us some when we went in for our second icsi cycle his mobility was at 70% and had a normal range count great stuff that zinc
leannelizzy- sorry can't help you with that one my body is pretty regular unless i'm taking thoughs wonderful drugs.
Bech- goodluck my fingers are crossed for you.
tonysgirl- hopefully those two pink lines come for you.
:bfn:
well my journey ended this morning with the dreaded af arriving which actually didn't suprise me as i wasn't feeling very confident this time which is unusual for me usually i'm so sure that it has worked that when af does arrive i'm shocked.
even after ovulating on day 22 and having fet 27 af has come on time so 1 more egg left then i don't think we will continue with another cycle my body wont take much more i don't think.
i have to ring the clinic tomorrow and find out if i can get a blasto FET in this month or will i have to wait till next year i hope not as i have been off my med's for the arthritis and it will make it worst to go back on them for a short time and then back off them again.
hope everyone else on the 2ww or waiting for news of mysterious levels and hiding bub's have good news this month as this will get me through my sad time:gloomy:
no matter how many times you get that :bfn: it never seems to get any easier. i thought that cause i already have one it wouldn't effect me as much as it did before but i was wrong.
sorry it's alittle about me hope everyone else is having a good weekend
bech- sorry i have probably asked you this already but was ruby IVF
Oh Sksty: i am SOOOO sorry to hear you news. I know it is hard for EVERYONE here who gets a BFN but I really really feel for you as I guess its because I know you also suffer with the lupus, not just difficulty getting pregnant. Loads of hugs to you. It just doesn't seem fair does it....
which leads me on to Tonysgirl: I felt sorry for the woman you met who had given up after 9 cycles. This baby making stuff through IVF is SOOOOOOOO difficult isn't it.
Leannelizzy: I'm up to day 33 and still no sign of AF - a rest cycle for me too. I'm wwaiting for AF to arrive so I can contact clinic and then make another appointment for next cycle.
Well ladies, have had a fab weekend with dh. Nw enjoying Sunday tv. It's time for DH and I to go through our diaries and plan our next few weeks before christmas - it is so busy at the moment.
Take care everyone, thinking of you all.

sksty: I'm soooooo sorry sweetie. I know there is nothing anyone can do or say to make you feel better, but I'm thinking of you and sending lots of :hugs: . Hopefully next month will be the one.
Tonysgirl: Having babies should just happen shouldn't it. It makes you scared when you hear of these stories. I know a girl that has done 16 ivf cycles and still no baby - but she is going to keep it going until she gets one !! There are so many amazing people around, don't know if I could stick at it and still be positive after all that time. I have my fingers and toes crossed that you will be getting a BFP very soon. What date is your bt?
BecH - Fantastic news about your little embies.... may they grow and grow and grow.
Natel - what a wonderful result, I can understand why you are so emotional. Congratulations and I hope all goes well with your transfer.
leanelizzy - Sorry sweetie, I can't help on that one, but I hope af comes soon so you can get moving on next cycle. Isn't it amazing, af always comes when we don't want it to, but stays away when we DO want her to come.:detective:
Fourboys - Do you have another bt tomorrow? Good luck, good luck, good luck. I hope you get a BIG number. What is your doctor saying at the moment about the low number?
Bradysmum - That party sounds like a HUGE event... how much fun !! I bet Brady will just love every minute of it.
EVERYONE else - Hello and I hope you are all doing well.
Update on me: Yesterday my doctor called me at 11 and told me he wanted to do a laproscopy at 2.00 to look for an ectopic because he was positive thats what was going on. He told me when I arrived that I would need to be in hosp over night and he would probably have to take my tube and do a d&c. I was upset, but agreed that we are better to get on top of it before it gets serious.
ANYWAY.... I wake up in recovery to hear that my tubes were PERFECTLY EMPTY and no sign whatsoever of any pregnancy in either of them. He didn't touch my tubes at all and stayed away from my uterus and no d&C. He is now saying "I have no idea what is going on" and now thinks it is either just a non-viable pregnancy (blighted ovum or just a miscarriage waiting to happen.... OR by some miracle it is infact a late implanter, which he originally thoguht was not a chance, but now that tubes are clear is saying maybe AARRGGGHHHHH:banghead:
So I am still in the land of "NO IDEA" More blood tests tommorrow and Wednesday and if they keep going up, they should pass 1000 by then and he might be able to see something on ultrasound.
Feeling very sore and annoyed that I had unnecessary surgery. But very pleased that there was no ectopic and that I'm still in with a chance, even if it is slight. Sorry so long:ecomcity:
Love Emma. XXX

Hi Everyone,
I haven't been on in a while but I have been catching up and just wanted to say
Congratulations Beatrice on the birth of baby Cian!! That's wonderful news and I hope you and your DH are enjoying getting to know your beautiful new baby
TonysGirl - A friend of a friend recently fell pregant after 8 IVF attempts! I don't know her well but I believe she had almost given up, and sadly felt that this time would be her last - and now she is pregnant. So never give up hope, as long as you feel up to it.
We had a cancelled cycle which was disappointing and were planning to have a break for a while, but I have decided to start again. The reward is just too tempting!
Best wishes to you all this week. Fingers crossed for you Bec H !!:wizard:
Take care,

SKSTY, I am sorry to hear about your news. Hopefully the one little one left is going to be your special one.
firsttimeivf, I am glad you are still in with a chance. I havent seen my doctor since the first BT, only the nurse coordinators who said not to get hopeful but not to rule it out yet. Im to still take my medications (progesterone) and have another blood test on thursday which is almost a week after the first one. I dont know why they are leaving it so long, if it is not viable I would prefer to know sooner, stop the meds (which is preventing af from arriving) and look at trying a FET. I am glad your numbers are rising, good luck.
Hi girls - I am typing this while listening to Aust Idol on the TV. I am not that into it but am keen to see who wins - I have no idea who will but Damien has a gorgeous Irish accent.......... I wouldn't mind listening to that a little longer (although Jess does have such a naturally beautiful vioce)
Sksyt - I am so so sorry about your BFN. I was hoping u would get to your BT date. Sending u loads of hugs hun and I hope you are going ok?
Natel - All I can say is WOW!! That is an amazing number of eggs. I am keeping my fingers crossed that they all grow healthy and strong over the next few days - good luck and keep us updated.
Leannelizzy - It is such a bugger when your cycle does not behave after an IVF cycle. I know alot of the girls do have normal cycles give or take a couple of days. Mine tend to play up. I have very irregualr cycles anyway (from 33 - 48 days) but after my last few IVF attempts some have been as long as 60 days!! I think all the meds really knock me around. If you have no AF this week see if you can go in for a BT. The tests can normally indicate if u are approachin the big O or if you ahve ovulated already - good luck.
BecH - Well done on your FET on Saturday. It sounds like your embies are doing really well. Take care
MelJ - Hi there. Yes am recovering from my football injuries. The night I did it I woke up at 4am with a very painful thobbing knee. I got up and just thought OMG what have I done but I could still walk on it so thought that was a good sign!! I took some nurofen and got back to sleep and it seems OK now. A bit bruised and I have an egg on it but I wll live...... please remind me not to dive for another player next time LOL. I was reading back on what u said about comparing your cylce to the gym instructors. I know it is hard hun but you really can't compare your cycle to someone elses. I know - I am guilty of it too but we are all individuals and what may work for her may not suit you. You are doing all the right things by trying to eat healthy and exercise and are doing well with your weight loss so just focus on your self. Remenber you are number 1 :hugs: I feel that with each of my IVF cycles the doctors, nurses and myself learn something new from each one. At the moment my next cycle is going to be "tailored" to me and is not a "text-book" cycle and I feel yours will be the same. Made just for you to get results for you
Emma - What a journey you have been on!!!! I am so glad you do not have an eptopic pregnancy. I was worried everytime I had not seen a post from u and was hoping you were not getting sick. Your bloods are still rising hun so that is great news. Just get them up over 1000 girl and show those docs how pregnant you really are - take care and keep in touch
Fourboys - Good luck for Thursday. My thougths and hugs are with u
Tonysgirl - Hey there girl. Now I hope you are not worrying too much - you are ment to be resting and chilling our remember. Sending BIG HUGS your way - cannot wait for the 4/12.
Hi Bradysmum and Beatrice (and little Brady and Ciam of course!!!) Hope you both had a good weekend
Hi to everyone else. My thoughts are with you all and I am reading your posts most days - take care everyone
Just heard Damien won IDOL - well done to the Irish lad!!!
Firsttimeivf- oh my god i can't believe you had to go through that for nothing, i hope that hasn't upset anything if you do have a viable pregnancy. Isn't there any other way of checking for and etoptic other then surgery?
Jacquit- i really have nothing to complain about i have my baby girl and some people don't even have that.
DH and i just really appreciate her even more then we did before she got lots of hugs today and was probably wondering what all the fuss was about.
It's just so expensive and with all my meds it costs us a fortune even without IVF so don't know how much more we will do anyway.
india_654- i was exactly the same after my first cycle and 4 Fet didn't work we were going to take a break but i just couldn't bring myself to do and we kept going till we got Breanna, so i know where you are coming from.
Hope everyone else is going well i have just posted in the general chat cause i'm getting really worried about Bree not crawling yet and hoping that the harness she was in hasn't cause any problems but nobody seems to have had children that have been through it, if it's not one thing it's something else.
Firsttimeivf- do you have any other kids?
Skysty - I'm so sorry hun that it didn't work this time. I was reading some research the other day that said your odds of concieving don't even decrease until you have done 6 actual IVF cycles, so don't lose faith, the average couple only has like a 17% chance per cycle so you will get there. Ruby isn't an IVF bub, my husband has had leukaemia and in between his treatment and his transplant I fell pregnant (they said that he was 99.7% likely to be infertile, miracles do happen). It was a hard pregnancy because my husband only had a 20% chance of survival, but he is still with us 2 years later so I just continue to pray to God.
Emma - that sounded positive that it wasn't ectopic, at least (sorry if this doesn't sound as positive as I hope it will) you didn't lose a tube or anything if this preg doesn't work, because it would make it so much harder. But having said that I am praying for you and Dh and bub that it is a good BFP.
Everyone - quick question I have been having some back cramps and tummy cramps this monring (hence why I am up at 4.30am). Has anyone recieved there AF just 2 days into an FET????? I am feeling quite anxious now.
Hi BecH. Yes u are up early. I am not sure about the cramping but it could be implantation cramping - I have heard some girls feel that. I am not sure how long it lasts though - would be so cool if it was :smiliedance: The other thing I thought of is I have had some type of cramping when my progesterone levels were low. I had a BT and my FN put me on higher doses of the pessaries - I don't want to have u worry about anything but if they are enough to keep u awake maybe you could phone your nurse and ask for a BT just to see - take care and rest up. Just keep thinking or how well your embies were going at the FET and focus on them settleing in

Take care lovely Ladies , love you all .:hugs:
Hi Ladies
Sksyt: I am so sorry for that dreaded news of BFN. I hope the last embie will be the miracle you deserve.
BecH: :fingerscrossed: & Good Luck
Emma: I am so sorry you are going through such an ordeal. It's great news that you don't have an Ecptopic Preganancy. Keep your spirits up & rest.
Bradysmum: Hello. How are you? 6 more sleeps for the little man how exciting.
Beatrice: Hello. I hope all well with you, DH & your little miracle Cian.
Fourboys: Good Luck
Natel: 24 Follicles & 22 eggs that is fantastic. Good Luck.
leannelizzy: hello. I am on the rest month. I am not sure how it will be. My last AF came 3 days early after ET. I am waiting to see if it will be normal. The drugs make our body confused.
Macca27975: Good Luck with your cycle.
Sorry if I have missed anyone. Hello to all. goodluck with TTC naturally, IVF. :fingerscrossed: to all the ladies doing BT,EPU,ET,FET & are waiting on 2WW. AF stay away from everybody.
I had my last appointment with the naturopath. He beleives I will fall pregnant in the next 4 months (87% chance). Will have to see. I am doing OK finished all my Christmas shopping.
I have been reading the threads & keeping up to date with everybody. i am just trying not to think too much so I can enjoy the Christmas break.
Bech- I'm so sorry to hear that. It must have been so hard for you to see him go through that. Ruby really is a miracle child and you two deserve it. I got my AF 3 days after transfer.
But don't go by me.
HPFP-Hopefully that naturpath is right and you get your wish.
i just rang the clinic to let them know that AF arrived and the nurse couldn't believe i had them already and when she looked over my notes she said that the injections shouldn't have allowed them to come and asked if i had been doing them right. Well no i haven't been doing them right cause i didn't even know i had to do them nobody told me let alone gave me the instructions and the drugs to take.So they have just informed me that i should have been on hormone injections and they didn't tell me. what a waste of an embie now we only have one left and i'm pretty angry they have done this to us.

Sksty,
That is outrageous! I hope you let them know what you think of them? Are they going to compensate you at least financially for wasting your precious embie? That made me really mad reading that -I am so sorry hun.

sksty, I am so sorry to hear your AF had arrived and then to read that, OMG, I cant believe that!! I would be so angry at them. I would definatley be complaining about that. How dare they put you through all this!
HPFP, glad to see you back hun!! Yeh, Brady b'day is getting much closer now!!:yelclap:
BecH Hi there, i hope you had a good weekend, a BBQ and some games sounds like fun. I think your ideas for Christmas are just great. More people need to be like that. I absolutely love christmas time. Im feeling good thanks, not long till my appointment with the FS again, to find out what we will be doing next. Only a few months and we will be back on the rollercoaster, our appointment is Dec 4th. Have a great day, and i hope your embies are nice and snug and making use of their new home.
Bradysmum Hello there. It sounds like Bradys party will be great. Heaps of people!! I enjoyed the BBQ, i had mum over too, which was nice. I had lean meat kebabs, which i made, and put capsicum between the meat, then i made a mashed pea, potato, and leek dish with sour cream mixed through and some caramelised onions on top. It was delicious. I love BBQ's too. Hope your weekend was great. Have a lovely day.
leannelizzy Goodmorning, i am sorry i cant help you with your question. I hope everything falls into place soon and you are all set to go. How was your weekend? I hope you enjoyed it. Have a good day.
Natel Hi there, wow your EPU sounds like it went fantastically. I cant believe how many eggs you got. I would have bawled too! Well done, and to have so many fertilise, that is great. I think next cycle, i will get my DH to take zinc too. I cant wait to hear how you go Wednesday, hopefully all goes to plan, im sure you will be fine, its such a relief to know you can store some embryos, that will be fantastic. Goodluck and let us know how you go.
Tonysgirl Goodmorning to you! :hugs: Always great to see you online. I am thinking of you and hoping you get a BFP very soon, i often wonder how you are. Yes i have thought of alternative medicines, accupuncture etc, but we dont have a lot of money at the moment, so are trying to save what we can for next cycle. I think the short regime sounds great, like you said, it worked better for you. I didnt realise that a short cycle didnt suppress your body, i mean, i never thought of it really, but you are right, so i think i will push for that when we see the doctor next week. Your BT is the day of my appointment with my FS. Do you cook often or does Tony? I generally do the cooking here, my DH does it on weekends sometimes, but i like to cook and try new recipes. I made a pasta bake yesterday, and we are having that tonight, on the weekend i made mashed peas, potato, and leek with sour cream and then put that on a plate and put some home made kebabs on top, then caramelised onions on top of that. My god it was delicious. Anyway, im hungry now! Have a great day.
sksty I am so sorry about your AF arriving. So sorry you got a BFN. I know it is so hard. You are so right, it just doesnt get any easier. I cannot believe your clinic didnt inform you of the drugs you were supposed to take. That is absolutely ****. Sorry, but you are paying money for this and they didnt tell you? That is so unprofessional of them. I would be angry too, i am so sorry this has happened to you. I would be complaining if i was you. This is just not on. So much emotions go into this, and they couldnt even do their job right. I really hope that you can get another FET in this month, or this year at least, i think that will help you a lot. It helps ease the pain i think. Having something to concentrate on. I know i just try to concentrate on being healthy and the next cycle. It is not easy. I am thinking of you, and have my fingers crossed for you. Take care xxxx
jacquit Hi there how are you? Wow AF is taking her time isnt she! I hope she turns up quickly for you. I am glad you had a good weekend. Yes its the busy season coming up now with christmas etc. I have had to mark down dates in my calendar too, it gets so busy around this time. Well, take care, and lets hope AF arrives soon.
firsttimeivf Oh my god, i cant believe what you have been through. You poor thing. I really hope you can come through this with some good news. I think it would have been better for the doctor to wait a bit before putting you through all of that! You and LJHarmony have been through some strange stuff lately. I am crossing everything for you here. Goodluck for today and Wednesday.
India_654 Hello. Its good to see you here again. I wish you all the best for this next cycle. Krecle. Stay in touch xx
fourboys Hi there. How are you feeling? Did you have a good weekend? I am wishing you all the best for your BT on Thursday. Please keep us updated on how you go. Goodluck xx
LJ Hi there, thank you so much for your post, i appreciate the advice, i know i need to realise everyone is different, but its hard at times not to compare. I guess you do learn something new each cycle, and i do have to remember that. Well, as for you and your touch footy antics, i am glad you are recovering well, i read your bit about waking up and thinking "oh my god what have i done" and i had a big  as i have been there myself. It is a fun sport though. I really enjoyed it back in my youth:D i really think i would have a hernia if i tried to play these days. Well, i hope you had a good weekend, ours was pretty uneventful, but good anyway. I have already cooked dinner, which is good, so now i just have to heat up the pasta bake later. Have a good day. Oh, yeah Damien won Idol, we watched it last night, i love damiens voice, and DH and i both wanted him to win, but i thought Jess would, so we were wrapped.
HPFP Hi there, how are you going? Have you had a nice day so far? I hope you had a great weekend. Wow when i read your post about what your naturopath said, that is fantastic, 87% chance is absolutely wonderful news. I cant wait to see how you go. Hopefully it all falls into place for you, i know it would be a great dream come true for you. Goodluck with it all. I hope you enjoy the rest of the day.
LJHarmony Goodafternoon, thinking of you and hoping you get your BFP this week. I cant wait to hear how you go, i think its Wednesday right? How was your weekend? How is your tummy? I so hope that things go your way, you have had such a strange time lately. Goodluck with your tests, and enjoy the rest of today.
Leannej Hi there, how was your weekend? Did you do much? We were going to see the Borat movie, but we didnt get around to it. We did a bit around the house, and DH is putting in a bath for my mum, so its been a long job, and still not finished yet. I went around to see how he was going on Sunday, and low and behold, he was having a beer out the back with my brother.... no surprise, they love to sit out there under the pergola and have a drink. Its a pretty big job though, so i dont blame them. I hope you are having a good day, not long till your FS appointment now. Goodluck with it.
Beatrice Thanks for popping in, its great to hear you are going so well. It must be hard having to say goodbye to your mum. I bet she has enjoyed it so much. It was very good that you could have her with you, i think its important, and im sure she loved every minute of it. I guess it will be a while till you see her again. Take care, and we are all thinking of you, DH and Cian xxxx
Shajake Hello there, i hope you are well. Hows that belly going now? Is it big, or do people mention it looks big or small?
Helenwantsabub Hi Helen, how are you? I hope all is going well with you. Please let us know how you are going when you get time. Did you have a good weekend? Take care xx
Well, not much to tell here, still waiting to see our FS, which is 4th Dec, so not long now. I feel as though AF is on her way, so thats fine. DH is keen to start again too, so it will be great when we work out when, probably Feb or March though. Depends when finances allow it. I guess you always find a way though. But ours is quite expensive, because we have the ICSI and on top of that DH has a procedure that costs around $600!! So thats a bit of a pain. Never mind though, you do what you have to do to hold that little bundle you have created together. I hope you are all enjoying your day, its very hot here today. Take care all xxxxx
Sksty: i can't believe that either!!!! SHOCKING.
You must be so mad. I'm not surprised. I can't believe they didn't double check everything. i don't get it.
You know what, Fertility clinics can't afford to make mistakes with IVF/ ICSI/donated eggs - sperm embryos. It's a n embryo for goodness sakes. And the treatments don't come with ease or financial bliss.
Really feeling for you sksty - I hope they get themselves sorted asap.
Thinking of you.
Jacs
Beatrice: all sounds great!!1 so glad to hear your good news. We sure do need some around here. Things have been quite disappointing for most. cian really is a beauty bub!
Bradysmum- thanks i'm past angry and i'm know in shock that it has happened.
Mel-j- thanks, goodluck with AF arriving and seeing your Dr hopefully you can plan your next cycle and get it under way.
jacquit- i'm glad i didn't get my way when i tried to fight the clinic to have two embies put back in cause then i wouldn't have any.
i rang the clinic this afternoon cause af is so heavy it has never been like this before and the pain is so bad, and i expressed how angry i was with the mix up and what are they going to do for me, she is speaking to my Dr and i have to go in for a BT tomorrow morning and hopefully she will have some answers for me.
Thanks everyone for helping me through this.

BecH - I'm so sorry you and your dh have had to go through such a horrible battle. Ruby really is a miracle and was sent to you for a reason.
sksty - that is REDICULOUS and I am so, so cross that you have been through this - Not good enough. Thinking of you.
My IVF doc called this morning and said that he is 95% sure that it is a non-viable and said we will do more hcg's every 2/3 days to make sure the levels are going DOWN.... Well todays was 765 !!! Up from 340 - so now I'm not sure what he plans to do.
Hope everyone is well.

It with a heavy heart that I type this, firsttime ivf and sksty, how sad that you may not be getting the christmas presents you desire. I too am travelling down that same path. My first BT was on friday, hcg level 19, today 72 hours later a BT confirmed a hcg level of still 19. I havent been in contact with the nurse coordinator yet but am sure that no change indicates a :bfn: .
Bech, hopefully you will bring some good news to this thread.

all, thank you for your welcome and all are doing well. So much to catch up one, but it is great to read all your posts.
Tonysgirl - all the best with you BT on the 4th. I know exactly how you are feeling as I too had a MC at 7 weeks, and I reckon it has made me more determined for it to work again. The waiting game is terrible, but worth it for that time you get the . :fingerscrossed: for an early Chrissie present for you.
jbearsmum - I think it is great that you are trying alternative therapies and I do believe they work. Before I started my 1st ICSI cycle I was seeing a naturopath and even thou no positive with her, which could be due to my DH not being a believer, she has helped so much with my general health and lifestyle and I reckon it will help for body to accept all this IVF treatment and a new addition one day. All the best with it all.
Natel - What an excellent result, sorry to hear you where also unwell, but WOW 26 eggs and 22 Fertilized, Congrats. Good news all round for you and all the best with you cycle :)
firsttimeivf - What a rollercoaster ride you are on, sounds like you are trying to go with the flow, well as much as one can in this situation. I understand you frustration either tell you YES or NO so you can move on to the next step. Try to stay positive and I hope you get some answers or great news soon. :fingerscrossed: for maybe an early Chrissie present.
HPFP - Thanks for the welcome and all the best with the naturopath and what a great percentage they have given you.
Sksty - How annoying I am angry for you! I think you should share you feelings with them and try and get some reimbursement, I think this would be only fare. All the best with it all!
Update : today was day 11 Blood test and ultrasound. My levels are good and I was happy to see 27 little follies, surprised to see 10 more from last Friday. Have to have another BT in the morning, and it looks like EPU will be on Thursday. Really nervous out this step as I keep thinking they will pop all these follicles and find no eggs, silly I know, but I don't know what to think, however I am happy to get to this stage and all seems to be going well. So I guess we will see what happens on Thursday

fourboys - I'm so, so, so sorry sweetie. I'm so sad writing this for you. It's just not fair. The positive is that you obviously fell pregnant, so hopefully next time it will all fall into place. Sending you lots and lots of big:hugs: . I'm not sure what is happening with me, but my doc really thinks this pregnancy won't go ahead, so I am hoping and praying like crazy that I can defy the odds and surprise him.
macca27295 - that is a fabulous number of follicles...well done. I'm sure they will get lots of big juicy eggs at EPU. :fingerscrossed: for you.
fourboys Im so sorry to read about your levels. I dont know what else to say, its just so hard when these things happen, it just never gets easier. I wish you all the best with whatever you decide to do now. Will you try again? :hugs:
macca27975 You are doing fantastic with the follicle making!! Well done. You will be fine when EPU comes around, there will be plenty of eggs, dont worry. Let us know how you go, goodluck.

i will be back to normal tomorrow i promise and send all my positive thoughts your way - personals and updates tomorrow

what the blue blazzers is going on here.?
sksty:mmmm okay I have read your post a couple of times & still I am upset for you & dh. We spend so much time following regimes punishing our bodies to acheive that positive. You went through all that eggs fertilizied, thaw yeh fet cycle nice and easy. You would think they would get it right, they do this everyday right. You obviously have time & money to burn:banghead: . Gobsmaked is all I can say. Thinking of you guys.
firsttimeivf & four boys; what's going on in here I really didn't think that ivf can get so complicated. Things that I have never heard of happening until now. Thinking of you girls.
I read the posts & wonder what am I doing. Do I really want to go back there, maybe the egg quality thing may prevent me from doing so.
I hope that I am in a different frame of mind next year:fingerscrossed: .
To everybody else I am thinking of you and the stages you are all at. I am on here at least 2-3 times a day. I hate to miss out of anything.
have a cosy night night.

Hi everyone,
Fourboys - Very sorry to read your post and that you levels aren't what you had hoped for.
FirstTimeIVF - That its very hard for you too! You must feel so confused. I really hope your Dr is wrong and your levels continue to rise! Best wishes.
Sksty - Outrageous. I think everyone is just so shocked at what has happenned. And now to have AF so heavily. Good karma with your remaining little embie is coming your way:wizard: - I'm sure of it!! (and some extra attentive medical staff I should think!)
Mel-J - You sound like a really good cook!! Barbies at your place must be great. Its hard waiting isn't it. I find though that at least when I'm on an IVF cycle or planning IVF I'm calmer because I feel like I'm doing something and have some control. When I don't do anything I just go up and down & brood and am constantly thinking about babies etc..anyway! I hope planning for your next cycle makes you feel hopeful too. I start the pill for my next cycle (hopefully) this Friday, so perhaps we will have similar timing. Good luck!
BecH - best of luck to you too.
TonysGirl - I hope this is your special time and it happens for you and your DH. Everyone would be so happy for you!! Take care of yourself and :fingerscrossed: :fingerscrossed: :fingerscrossed: .
Macca - I'm sure your follicles will make you proud!! 27 is alot!! I'm sure they'll be some magic in there.
I'm waiting for my AF to come so I can start again. I'm also waiting to become an Aunty any day now, which will be wonderful, and I'm sure I'll cry too much when I hold that baby - but that is okay. My sister was complaining about being 8.8 months pregnant, feeling over it etc.. and I told her she'll never understand how lucky she is, and to just relax and enjoy the blessing she's been given. At least when hopefully we all fall pregnant we'll really appreciate how fortunate we are because we have all tried and hoped for so long (even if we do get stretch marks!).
I'm off to eat some chocolate brownies I've just cooked. Have a nice evening eveyone!

Mel, glad to hear you are well hun. Your BBQ sounded soooo yummy! Do you wanna have a BBQ here next time??? LOL!! Good luck for your appointment on Dec 4th, same day as Brady's b'day, praying this cycle brings you lots of luck hun!!
Fourboys, sorry to hear that your levels have dropped. My 1st cycle was like that. I got a BFP and within a few days my AF arrived and it was over. I know how you are feeling and Im so sorry hun.:hugs:
firsttimeivf, whats going on??? When will they be able to do a scan? It's amazing that your levels are still rising, you must have the docs amazed. Fingercrossed for you and your embie.:fingerscrossed:
sksty, Im sorry your AF is painful and heavy hun. Im still angry at them, Im sorry I know you feel alot worse but it is so unfair to put you through this, do they have any idea how much they ****** up! Sending you a huge hug.:hugs:
Macca, good luck for Thursday sweetie!! Sounds like your follicles are doing great! All the best, cant wait to hear how you went!!
Natel, congrats on your EPU. That is a wonderful number of eggs!!! Fantastic!! I hope you are feeling better. Good luck with your cycle!!
LJHarmony, good luck for tomorrow hun! I pray it goes well and your x-mas wish comes true!!
Well, my nanna has been accepted into the nursing home her sister is in. Just some paper work to be done and then hopefully by the end of the week she can be transferred. Its sad that she wont be able to come to Brady's b'day, but I will take him to see her on Monday. Also, does anyone know how much the Frozen Embryo Transfers are these days? Just curious so we know what we are up for next year. Thanks girls, hope you are all fine.
Hi all
Sksty I just cannot get over your post! You poor thing u must be devestated as well as angry and greiving for your emby. I cannot beleive that the nurses did not check u had everything u needed. You need some answers hun - this should never have happened. I just want to give u a HUGE BIG hug. Its going to be tough but we are all here for u when you need to :banghead: or :gloomy: any time xoxox
Mel J - Hey there. The 4th isn't that far away. Now please let me know if you are getting sick of me LOL but my advise before your appointment is to do your homework, find out information for yourself, ask LOADS of questions :ecomcity: and make suggestions. I found that this worked really well for me. My last cycle was my most successful and I felt really good thru out the 2ww (well as good as you can feel!!) and I think it was because my FS and my FN and myself all put our heads together and tried different medications and I was closely monitered with BT's. I will definatley be using a similar protocol next time. Hope I haven't swamped you ??!! xoxo
Firstimeivfer - Emma you are almost to the 1000 - keep going girl. You seem to be doing all the right things!!!
Fourboys - I am so sorry you have not received good news. Is there a chance that your emby is a slow starter? Are u still on the pessaries. I am sending all the baby dust in the world your way.....
Macca 27975 -Well done on your 27 follies. I will be checking in to see how you are going over the next few days - good luck
LJHarmony - I am always thinking of you. Good luck for tomorrow. Will you get your BT results the same day?
India - Hi there - what you said about people appreciating their pregnant states is so true - I hear you sista!!! I know it will be hard holding and seeing the new bub at first. I would find it really hard as well. But once you have that bub in your arms it will be love at first sight. And your own bubba will be just around the corner
Bradysmum - That is great news about your nanna. It is even more wonderful as she will be with her sister and I am sure she will love all the visits you and Brady will give her. About the FET costs. Ours cost about $800 - $900 each FET- sometimes a little more depending on drugs I need (pessaries, Pregnyl injections etc). Hope that gives u a little info
Hope everyone had a good day. I think I will be a bit earlier to bed than last night. My DH was on night shift last night and is again tonight. I don't sleep very well when he is not here so I stay up as late as I can so when I get to bed I am really tired. Last night I went to bed about 11.30ish and slept on and off but the phone rang at 4.50am!! My heart skipped a beat (well the first thing u think of is OMG whats wrong!!!) I answered the phone and couldn't understand what the person on the other end was saying. I think it was because I was still half asleep. It turned out that it was a very elderly man. He was trying to phone his son as they had had a blackout. He was telling me that his wife was on life support but she was at his sisters so she was OK??. In the end he was very apologetic for waking me - sweet old thing. I think he was lonely. I hope he managed to contact his son. It was a very strange start of the morning for me. Anyway good night everyone. I will check in again tomorrow.
Good evening ladies,
I have been following all your posts but have just been too tired to post myself.
My heart goes out to all of you who have not received your :bfp: yet and my :fingerscrossed: are crossed for those of you on your 2WW.
I'm glad that a place has been confirmed for your Nanna Bradysmum.
Just a quick update, had a scan 10 days ago and there is a growth discrepancy between the babies. Have another scan on the 6th of Dec and then see my Ob on the 7th. When I saw my Ob last Thursday he was talking possibly having the babies at 33 or 34 weeks (that's only about 5 weeks away) because of the growth discrepancy. So I've been running around like a chook without a head trying to get everything done just in case. I just don't feel quite ready to meet them yet.
Anyway enough about me and I'm sending everyone baby dust and lots of positive thoughts.
Hi there Shajake  Thankyou so much for keeping us updated on how the twins and yourself are - I look forward to seeing your posts. You and the babies have done so well so far and I have a really positive feeling it will all work out. I have met a few bubs (and twins) that were born at around 32 - 34 weeks and they did really well. I know it is hard not to worry but you are getting great care and everyone one will be ready when your bundles of joy arrive to give them the best start they can get - sending you :hugs: Keep in touch
Thanks Lj. It's a bit overwhelming but you're right and I'm sure that I'm stressing unnecessarily. I guess I should probably pack though!! What have you been up to?

L.J, thanks for your reply about the FET costs. I hope you get a better sleep tonight, I can't sleep well whe DH isnt here either hun. I hate it! I hope the elderly man got in contact with his son too.
Shajake, hope you are well. Your babies will be fine. They have a great success rate if they are born early. My cousins daughter was born inbetween 34-35 weeks and she is fine. I know it's harder when it's you. but I just don't want you stressing too much! Now, start packing woman!!!!!:D
Hi
Fourboys - I'm so sorry, be angry and sad for as long as you need it is the only thing that helped me. I was a bit similiar in that I got a readin of 7 while in hospital with OHSS (4 days after transfer, but when I tested after the 2 weeks nothing. It is so hard to have invested in being pregnant and not be. I hope you might join me with an FET, but only if you feel it is right.
Skysty -My Hubbie is a medical student and he says you could easily request a full reimbursement for negligence (although it is really even worse than that). I would tell them that next cycle you don't have to pay!!!
Shajake - There isn't anything scarier than worrying about your children, and it never stops. Did they give you an indication of weight? Make sure on your list is a great breast pump, if you will be feeding. Our friends twins we born early and she expressed religiously and they were fattened up and home quickly. Best of luck.
Bradysmum - It is good your Nanna can be with family, I'm sure she will find some comfort in this. So exciting that it is nearly Brady's birthday. Enjoy the day.
Macca - Well done with all your follies, best of luck. Eats lots of protein and drinks tons of water, I had OHSS and I recommend doing anything to stop it.
Natel - Same advice as to Macca, lots of water and protein to stop OHSS. Best of luck they say a high number increases your preg chances.
Well to anyone I've missed sorry. I am feeling quite negative about this cycle because of all the cramping I have been getting. I really feel like I have already lost the bubs. Unfortunately being on pregnyl I won't even know until the 8th of December. But enough crapping on from me. Have a great Tuesday!
BecH - Don't loose hope yet BecH. I had cramping with my last cycle all the way thru and my nurse said that it was because of the high levels my progesterone was at (mine was around 100 and they are happy if it is at 40!!!) I was on the Pregnyl as well so it could all be a good sign :fingerscrossed:
Shajake - Not up to much at the moment. Just going to get thru Xmas and have a rest cycle and hopefully another FET in January. I thought that was the best thing after my 2 m/c. I am keeping busy at work and am getting back into some sport and swimming. Keeping strong and trying to stay positive
Hope everyone has a good day
Hello everyone,
Well this is only going to be quick as I am at work and we are flat out - which is why I haven't been on lately.
Sksty: Sorry to hear your news and I would be angry and disappointed as well, let us know what your doctor says. Take care.
Melj: Hi, how are you? Our weekend went well although fairly quiet for once, did the last of my christmas shopping so now I only have 2 presents to get and 1 I can get in Perth when we get there for Christmas. Not long now until your appointment. Hope you are well.
Jacquit: Good to hear from you again and hope all is well.
Tonysgirl: Wishing you all the best on the 2ww, I will hopefully be joining you soon. Glad to hear that all is going well and everything went well for your FET. :fingerscrossed: for you and your DH.
Bradysmum: Wow not long now until the big birthday party. I went so overboard for Zahli's 1st birthday there was so much food left over but we had a great time, I think the party started at about 3 and the adults finished at about 3 in the morning so a huge day and night for us!! Great to hear the news about your nanna.
Fourboys: Sorry to hear your news, I hope that you and your family are ok. All the best.
Shajake: Wow what news you have - time goes by so quickly and to maybe meeting your twins in 5 weeks is amazing. I hope you are well and trying not to stress too much at the moment (easier said than done!!)
LJ: How are you going? What a way to wake up to a phone call like that, it is sad isn't it. Hopefully he got hold of his son and everything is fine now.
BecH: Kepping my :fingerscrossed: for you for this cycle, our bodies are strange things and it could be your body getting ready for the next 9 months. Hope all is well.
Macca: Your follies sound great, all the best for your EPU!!
Firstimeivf: I can't believe what you have had to go through. I am sending you big :hugs:. You sound amazing with what you have to do at the moment. I am thinking of you and your family.
Mercimum: Hello, how are you going? How is everything in your world at the moment. Hope all is well, no doubt you would of cooked something yummy today!!
Natel: Congratulations on the EPU you did an amazing job, well done. Will follow your progress to see how you go, wishing you all the best.
LJHarmony: All the best for your blood test tommorrow I hope that all goes well. Will be thinking of you and your family.
India_654: Wow waiting to become an aunty, how exciting for you. All the best for your next cycle and hurry up AF so it can all begin!!
News from me is that I am sick of blood tests and my arms are sore, but FET looks like being Friday or Saturday morning depending on the results from todays blood test. Today is day 20 for me so I have been a bit slow ovulating even with Chlomid. Will let you know for sure when it will be when I find out.
I know that I have missed some people but I have to get back to work as I have stuff piling up as we speak. I get on here everyday to read but run out of time to post. To everyone I have missed - I hope that you are all well and everything is running smoothly. And to all of the newcomers welcome and wishing you all the best in your cycles.

Hi Beautiful Girls, I have to make this quick as DS is getting an award at the school assembly very soon:D we are so proud of him...
We have being to the GP this morning and unfortunately there was no need for a BT as I am diffenately not pregnant, by the results from the scan. I still haven't had a AF either. My GP is sending me back to the FS/Gyno and luckily I can get in on Friday - so thats great - You could see the disappointment on my GP's face, news he didn't really like giving, thankfully DP&I prepared ourselves for bad news so are ok.
:: when I get back from school I'll give personals and let you know 'what we are thinking 4 next time'...huge change of plan!! Thinking of all my friends here has helped keep me together, thankyou so much you are all so special::

All the ups and downs you've had lately and to have your wonderful attitude.

I can highly recommend the herbs and accupuncture, both DH and I feel great and really positive.
Can't wait to hear your new direction.
Take care and big congrats to your darling DS for his award. I bet you have a grin from ear to ear!

Good Afternoon Girls ... I feel so much better now for catching up on everyone's personals ....
Jbearsmum: Thankyou so much for the vote of confidence!! It isn’t easy all the ups and downs, but somehow I have to dig deep and keep looking forward. I want another baby so much I am not going to give in. Thankyou for the recommendation of the herbs and acupuncture, I’ll keep it mind.
Trendy: DS was so happy and surprised when his name was called out. Thanks for your support, it’s appreciated very much. I am sorry to hear your arms are so sore, sounds like you are in need of big cuddle ((((hugs)))) I think your doing wonderfully well.
Beatrice: Cian is just so sweet and special…thanks for sharing him with all his cyber-aunties!! This may help you ?? it worked for us. When I use get DS up when he was very little, I’d open the curtains and welcome the day. I would tell him – everyday – all about mornings and what happens; Daddies go to work and all the kids go to school, the birds look for worms for their babies and the sun comes up….and leave his curtains open all day, even when napping. Then when he goes down at night time, I’d close the blinds and talk about the evening…Daddies come home from work, the kids are finished school for the day, the birds go back to the nest and the sun goes down etc, etc…it helped him to know the difference of night and day very early, it might work for you too.
HPFP: I hope your naturopath is correct and you fall pregnant, naturally, very soon * - fingerscrossed for you - *
Sksty: What negligence that is so incompetant, I can’t believe that they treated you like this. I would report them to the board of consumer affairs. I hope that you can regain your trust and confidence with the IVF process again to have your dream fulfilled. * - thinking of you through this crisis - *
Mel: Your so sweet, thankyou…How is your Tuesday? Your support on this journey is so appreciated. We might be cycling together next year, as we are going to start again around March 2007 as well, so it will be nice to know that you’ll still be around by then.
Shajake: I am thinking of you through this and really hoping that your not too much in a panic. Things must have really stepped up a gear at your house, thinking that you have a at least 9 or 10 weeks (I imagine) then told you may only have 5!! Looks like your bubs are wanting to surprise you before the new year. They have excellent success rates with preemies over 28 weeks; I hope your OB eases your mind on the 7th.
BecH: You know there could be a very strong and healthy bub fighting for you right now…Please don’t give up, now!!
Emma: It’s so hard going through this, hold on, have faith and I pray that there is a chance for you.
Fourboys: I am sorry to hear your news…hold onto your hopes and wishes that will be your dream come true ‘tomorrow’ keep looking to the sun and keep out of the shadows!!
Macca – Rebecca: Good luck for Thursday’s EPU..that is a really fantastic result, your so clever. How are you feeling today?
India-654: have you become an auntie yet? Good luck for the beginning of a new cycle and a new hope.
Bradysmum: Wow Brady’s nearly one!! Goodness me the time has flown by since meeting you. Brady is such a precious little boy and a constant inspiration for me. Thankyou for giving so much hope, help and support our way. I must must be so clucky, my little heart went all flittery that you might be trying to give Brady a brother or sister next year…thrilled for you.
L.j: When I have BT’s done here, it takes a day for the results to come through – being in a country town!! Though, I didn’t need one today. How are you going? It can be funny the people that cross our paths for whatever reason…I hope he was ok too.

DP&I have our appointment with our FS/Gyno this Friday, which we are looking forward too. We have decided to get DP's sperm anaylised. I might have a D&C to 'start afresh' since I haven't had a AF for 3 months. I will also be asking to go back on the pill until about Feb or March next year. In the meantime, I'll be concentrating on lossing all the excess weight I can. I have quiet abit to lose so it'll give me time to do that and for DP to find work again as well.
We have decided to go ahead with IVF next year. I am not getting any younger and we so want to have another couple of children before it's too late. We have being thinking about it for a while now and today we just knew what we had to do. So barring any differance from the FS/Gyno that's what we'll be doing
......our journey is reborn......IVF here we come!!
Good afternoon,
Bradysmum, you're right, I will start packing soon. I know that they will be fine but it's me who's not ready to meet them yet.
Bec, Interesting that you should say that. I have 2 breast pumps, Avent and Medela. The Avent is a hand one and the Medela is both hand and can be attached to a pump. Which one should I take with me to the hospital? The weights of the babies are Baby 1 - 990grams and baby 2 - 754grams.
LJHarmony, good luck at your doctors appointment and may the new year bring you loads of great news. Things in our house have definitely stepped up a notch or two. My ob is great and has been fantastic during this pregnancy. He really is worth every cent I pay him.
Trendy, great news about you ovulating and your FET on Saturday. Good luck and :fingerscrossed: for during your 2ww.
Lj, sometimes that's the only way to stay sane.
Hope everyone has a lovely rest of the day and I'll check back later.
Firsttimeivf- What day are you on now?
Is this your first pregnancy?
What are the Dr's saying now that your levels have increased so much i thought that if they double every second day then thats good!
India_654- Well the nurse rang at lunch time and apologised for what had happened but that was it too bad pretty much so not happy.
Hope everything goes well with your sister, people don't realise just how lucky they are not that they mean it my sister in law use to complain all the time and i use to leave her crying thinking i would do anything for that.
I had the worst pregnancy ever i was so sick and vomited everyday from Transfer to Delivery and i had Kidney Stones anyway the list goes on and here i am again trying desperately to go through it all over again and i never complained once not even to my DH cause i would have gone through 10 times worse to get Bree.
Hope Af arrives for you so you can plan your next cycle.
Mercimum- Me too still can't believe it but there is nothing that anyone can do now hopefully this last one which is the one that took alittle longer to get to Blasto is strong and brings us a Christmas suprise.
LJHarmony- i'm so sorry just had a little cry for you you have been through so much and you are still smiling and thinking positive good on you for doing the IVF roller coaster again you are one strong lady i would be doing good if i was half as strong as you.
Macca27975- 27 is just fantastic and i'm sure they are all holding a beautiful egg but even if they aren't even if only half are thats still a great number of eggs but i'm sure they will all be fine.
Fourboys- thats terrible news, my heart goes out too you
Trendy1- Goodluck for your transfer for Saturday I'm sure we could all take our own BT soon.
Bech- Hopefully all the cramps you are experiencing are them just getting nice and cosy and comfortable.
Shajake- What do they mean by growth discrepancy do they think you are further along then they thought?
LJ- I can't sleep when DH isn't home too, hopefully you get a better sleep tonight and no phone calls from little old men Poor old thing.
Bradysmum- Thats great that your Nan can be in the same nursing home as her sister i'm sure that will make it easier for her to get use too and comforting too
Just an update on me i went and had a Bt this morning to see what was happening with my levels and to nobodies suprise they were at bass line which we all knew cause of the amount of bleeding i'm getting anyway she apologised but said that there wasn't anything that could be done as it's too late and she knows that doesn't bring back the Embie but all she can do is say sorry.
She has since spoken to the Dr and they would like for me to try again and take more Clomid and take the drugs i was suppose to take this time and see if we can get a pregnancy out of this last embie but no mention of money back or anything but even though the money is a big factor its the embie thats the biggest factor and thats gone now.
Hope everyone else has better luck we need some good news come on ladies
Hi Everyone
Shajake I found the Avent handpump easier whilst Daniel was still in the hospital and the electric pump easier when he came home. Daniel was born early and they also told me he was coming early but I was still not prepared for it and like you I don't think I was really ready to meet him yet.
Bradysmum It sounds like Brady's party is going to be fantastic and I am so glad that your Nanna got into the same home as her sister.
To everyone else I am thinking of you all I just struggle to post to everyone but I am following all of your journeys and the highs and lows.
Nothing new here we are still TTC naturally until we start treatment again in January/Febuary.
Sending all those TTC lots of baby dust

sksty - I am day 25 today past transfer - 27 from EPU. Do you count EPU or ET as your ovulation date??? I never know. So, Mondays level of 765 was on day 24 past transfer. The doctor is surprised that they are still going up and agrees that they have doubled well, but he still thinks they are too low for my dates !!! How are you going? I can't stop thinking about how much they have stuffed you around. I have thought a bit lately, that it should be mandatory to have done IVF to become an IVF co-ordinator, cos no-one can really understand the hardship of it all if they haven't been through it.
LJHarmony - So sorry that things haven't worked out how you wanted. Sending you lots of hugs :hugs: I think it is a great idea to have a D&C and start knowing there is no residue left over "Stuff" lurking about !!!!! I hope your appointment goes well. AND congratulations to ds for his award - you must be proud !!
trendy1 - How exciting. Can't wait to hear how you go. Good luck sweetie.
mercimum - I agree.... WHAT IS GOING ON !?!?!? I am so frustrated with what is happening and can't believe it is this hard to simply know if I have a viable pregnancy or not, if it isn't going to go ahead, I just want to know and get through it. Where are you up to with your treatment?
India - I can understand how you feel about your sisters baby coming - it will be so exciting for you and I bet you'll be the best Aunty ever, but know that it is totally "normal" to feel a bit sad at the same time. We all understand here. :hugs:
bradysmum - great news about your nanna - i bet that is a load off your mind.
LJ- I was half laughing when I read your post... my dh worked night shift two nights a week for five years and I HATED IT. THe other wives and girfriends of the guys he worked with used to say how much they loved the peace and quiet and the bed to themselves, but I never slept and was paranoid about every single noise. THANKS heaps for your encouraging message - I am looking forward to getting to 1000 (if it keeps going that way) !!
Shajake - HOW EXCITING - 33/34 week babies do so well. I know its not the ideal 37/38 for twins, but you have done a wonderful job getting this far. I can't wait to hear all about your little darlings when they arrive. Get that bag packed!!!!!
BecH - don't loose hope yet. The cramping could be implantation - uterus stretching, who knows..... Sending HEAPS of baby dust your way.
No real news on me... STILL WAITING. My dh rang the clinic and spoke to the doctor today. He said he is amazed that my levels are going up, but wants to wait a few days, do another bt and then a scan if the levels are up past 1500 he should see something. Trying REALLY hard not to think about it. I am writing school reports at the moment and not getting much done as my head is just stuck in "Am I having a baby, aren't I having a baby" land. :banghead:
To anyone I've missed .... HI and hope you are all having a great day.

Trendy1, all the best for Sat!! Sending your body lots of BABY DUST:wizard: !!! Let us know how it goes!!
LJHarmony, wow you are an inspiring woman hun! I wish you so much luck with your coming IVF cycles next year. Hope you stick around and update us on your progress. Its only round the corner!! Good luck with your weightloss!
Shajake, hope you had a great day!
sksty, fingerscrossed for your next cycle. Have you decided when you will do it? Im so sorry about what you went through this cycle.:hugs:
Caz, your pic is gorgeous!! What a spunky little man he is!! Fingercrossed with the TTC:fingerscrossed: !! Take care hun.
Emma, what a confusing time for you hun. Fingercrossed your levels are still rising and rising!!:fingerscrossed: Good luck with the school reports!
Shajake- What do they mean by growth discrepancy do they think you are further along then they thought?
One baby is bigger than the other. One baby is on the 2oth percentile and the other baby is on the 60th percentile.
Bradysmum, it was my nieces birthday so we had her birthday party in the morning, then I went to my FIL and made sure he ate lunch and gave him his meds and then back to my SIL for dinner. Jake had a 2 hour sleep today so he went to bed late and I'm stuffed. How was your day?
Firsttimeivf, You're right and I've started packing.
Caz, thanks for that. I think I will pack the Avent one for the hospital.
Firsttimeivf- So thats pretty good right you are doubling maybe he just needed alittle time to get cosy before settling in
Sorry you probably have already answered this but is this your first pregnancy?
I agree wiht you anyone looking after couples going through Ivf should have atleast experienced it first hand casue if they had maybe they would be alittle more helpful and understanding.
Bradysmum- they wont me to try again before Christmas so i have started the Clomid today and i need to have another BT on the 9th Dec to see where my levels are at cause at the moment they are on base line what ever that means.
Shajake- so they deliver early just in case?
Hope everything goes well which i'm sure it will you sort of thought they would take you early anyway didn't you?
Hope everyone else is doing well.
We sold our house tonight so after all the bad news for us lately we have finally got a positive so now we are going to build my dream home so i never have to move again in the suburb we wanted to buy in but couldn't at the time and a beautiful place for Bree and any new additions to the family can grow up.
 :smiliedance: :yelclap:
Thanks to everyone for the kinds words. I did feel better after hearing them. IVF is a funny thing, last time I was convinved I was pregnant and this time I'm already sure it is over, but hey I was wrong the first time. Quick question, I am on 1500units of pregnyl for three injections. Does anyone know how long it takes to leave your system? I want to test the day before or morning of my blood test to feel more prepared which will be 6-7days.
Shajake - My friends used an electric pump but the hospital provided the electric base and she just used her own pump. Maybe you can find out if the hospital has an electric pump for patient use. My hands use to get very sore from the manual pump and I was only pumping for one!
Trendy1- Best of luck for Saturday, hope it all goes smoothly.
Emma- Every day I hope on and hope you have some definite news from your Dcotor to ease your heart. I'm sorry but at least they continue to rise. Will you have a scan again soon? Sorry I just reread the post and realised you said when your levels rise, well good luck.
Fourboys - I hope you are doing ok. I remember taking quite a break from posting or even visiting whilst getting over it. Is you DH very supportive? I forgot how hard it was on my DH as well and leaned on him a lot.

Thankyou to everyone for your kind thoughts. I am still to have a BT tomorrow, maybe to see if HCG has come down. My af has not arrived so unless it does asap I wont be able to try a FET untill Jan or Feb next year.
BecH, I am sure your embies are safe and well. Although I can understand not feeling confidant, if you are too confidant and it doesnt work the dissappointment is worse than if you have prepared yourself for a negative result. I have only 2 embies left so I am going to do my best to be as fit and healthy as I can in the new year to give them the best chance.
Good luck to all, even if I am not posting, I am reading your messages every day and hoping for the best for you all.
Hi to all,
Bech thanks for the advise with the OHSS, water and protein definetly help, I've felt like a washing machine all week, but the fluid has finally passed, so thanks. Good luck with 2ww will be joining you today!!!:smiliedance:
Macca good luck with your epu, i was the same with so many follies, yet i was still worried they were all empty, even in theatre just before I went under i was asking my fs how often it happens, he said not often then proceeded to sedate(thankgod my brain needed the rest). I had 24 follies and they retrieved 26 eggs. Of course then i was stessed about OHSS. Which i did get mild to mod so be on the lookout but don't stress, like i was thinking i would turn into violet on charlie and the choc factory!! Lots of resting, panadine/nurofen, prop yourself up in bed, Gatorade, water, Coffee and coke(great directics) good luck let me know how you go.
Firsttimeivf, i have been reading all your posts, you must be going nuts:banghead: i have no idea but surely to create the pg hormones in your blood there has got to be something there, good luck and i sure hope it is :bfp:
Tonysgirl good luck with the waiting, i have two children, and not once did i ever have a symptom of prenancy, right up until deliver then one big symptom LABOUR! Good luck with your wait, when is bt?
Sksty Sorry to here about AF and being so stuffed around. Good luck with this cycle, at least this time you will be on all the right meds, they will be treating you like a princess and probably checking you every 5 mins!! Lots of luck
An update on me today at 2.00 is my transfer, i am excited nervous all at once, it's our first time and i know i shouldn't be so hopeful but i can't help it. Everything has gone so well so far except OHSS we had 22 embies, 10 were frozen on Mon, 3 are apparently trailing the leading embies so that leaves 9 at balstocyst stage today, unless of course we have lost some which we completely expect too. I know blasto don't freeze so well, what have been other peoples experience? Also OHHS can come back if i do get:bfp: has this happen to anyone? was it as bad as first time?
Good luck to everyone !

Hi everyone,
I will do personals shortly... but REALLY need to know... When I'm looking at "average hcg levels" - when do you count from lmp and ovulation from in an IVF cycle.
Say if it says
Average hcg for 21 days from ovulation is XYZ
does that mean from EPU or from ET ?????
My transfer was two days after my pick up and I don't know which date to compare my levels to.
Thanks heaps....
BTW: Todays bt was 1315 !?!?!? - gone up from 765 - 2 days ago, so doubling time is 61 hours which is FINE ! Hoping to get a call from the clinic shortly to schedule a scan and SEE WHATS GOING ON !!!!:fingerscrossed: :fingerscrossed:
Will message again later.

firstimeivf, I think your levels are wonderful. It is sounding very postive now, hopefully the scan is soon and a babies heartbeat will be seen. Look forward to seeing a :bfp: .
india_654 Hi there, how exciting becoming an Aunty, that will be fantastic. I am going to be meeting my niece at Christmas, she will be 9 months, so i am so excited to see her. I hope AF comes soon for you. Goodluck with this cycle.
Bradysmum Yep i love cooking BBQ's, sure i can pop some food in a box and send it over for you, doubt i will fit in the box though, so i cant personally cook it for you, but can pre prepare it  I made a lasagne today, but i am not happy with it, DH will probably like it, he eats anything!!
LJ Hello, keep the advice coming, i never get sick of it, i actually wrote all the things down that i want to ask, and i did it after reading your post so it got me motivated!! Thank you for giving me advice, i really appreciate it.
Shajake Wow, the thought of meeting the babies before you are ready must really be a little frightening, just the unknown i guess. Hopefully all goes well. I am sure you will be fine. Goodluck and let us know how your appointment goes.
BecH Hi there, i hope you are going along ok. Dont lose hope with this cycle just yet. You need to stay positive.
Trendy1 Hi there, wow FET this saturday, how exciting, please let us know how you go.
jbearsmum Hello there, hope you are well.
LJHarmony Hi there, i am so so sorry to read that it didnt work for you this time. I was so sure you would get a positive. I think it is fantastic that you are so positive, and looking forward, i think its what helped me too. We may well be starting together next year, that will be great to have someone to go through the motions with. Goodluck for your cycle, and you know we are here anytime you need a chat.
sksty I am so sorry things didnt work out for you, i am really shocked at your clinic, they were very unprofessional to do that to you. What do you think you will do now? Go ahead like they advised? I wish you all the best. This time at least you will know what to do with your cycle, only thing is you had to learn the hard way due to your clinic being slack. :hugs:
firsttimeivf Gee you must be frustrated now knowing what is going on. I wish you all the best though. I hope you get the BFP you want. Writing reports must be so hard right now, like you said with your mind elsewhere.
Beatrice Hi, hope all is well with you and DH and Cian.
fourboys Hi there, i really hope that you get your AF soon, it would be great to get in before christmas, but if not, then enjoy the christmas break and concentrate on the new year and i wish you all the best for it.
Natel Hi there, all the best with your transfer today.

Natel, hope your ET went well today. Get lots of rest hun and take it easy!
Emma, your levels are doing so well. Cant wait till they give you a scan and they can see your embie has got to be there. Good luck hun!
Leanne, Tonysgirl, Chilligirl, Trendy, LJHarmony, BecH, India, jbearsmum, L.j, Fourboys, Angsmum hope you are all well. Sorry if I have forgotten anyone!! Love you all.:hugs:

Hi everyone,
Bradysmum, thanks hun for your continued support and kind thoughts. You are one in a million!! Hun, you asked about the cost of FET.This one has cost me around $4000:eek: but that is all inclusive - hospital, pessaries, the lot ( no baby guaranteed unfortunately...).However, thank God for medicare & private health cover- I will get most of it back so it should only cost around $900 ( funny saying only but compared to a fresh cycle it is a lot cheaper). But that is with Sydney IVF and they are known to be one of the most expensive ( but worth every cent).
Beatrice,Hope you and Cian are doing well.We need some more photos so his cyber aunties can go ga ga over him:hugs:
Firstimeivf, So glad it wasnt an ectopic hun! You would think that since they put the embie directly into the womb that IVF would have a less chance of ectopics but for some reason it doesnt. I know you are probably so sick of the blood tests so I hope they will be able to scan you soon. Keep hanging in there hun...
Fourboys, So sorry hun that your levels havent budged.Hope you know either way soon so you can start planning forward.
Macca, Thanks hun for your kind words . My miscarriage was devastating but if there was anything that came of it was that it proved I could get pregnant - something I had never done before. And you are right - it does make me more determined for it to work again.Good luck for your egg pickup tomorrow - 27 follies - make sure you rest up after it.
MelJ, Hi hunny, your posts to me always bring a smile to my face, thank you so much.I know the money situation is hard with all of this but maybe just see what there is available that could suit your budget.I am sure the shorter cycle will give you better results. And LJ has given you great advice so I am glad you are able to use it.I just want to see my little J girl pregnant:hugs: .As for cooking, I am actually not bad at it, unfortunately the problem is time. I like to cook on the weekends when I have more time to do stuff. Tony looks after himself usually during the week ( I am such a slack wife but hey I am trying to cook a baby here!!) .What do you have planned for the weekend?
Sktsy, So glad you have had some good news re selling your house.I think building your own home is such a great idea - you can have everything exactly how you want it.I know you said that the only embie you have left is the one that took longer to get to blast but dont worry too much. My embie that I just had transferred they didnt think they were able to freeze and it ended up thawing beautifully.I have also read that embies that develop too quickly sometimes mean they have abnormal chromosomes so maybe this one is just going to take its time.
Bech, Hi hun. If you are taking progesterone support that should keep AF away so I think the cramping was just your little embies snuggling in.The waiting is a killer but just try and take it one day at a time.Just keep going over it in your head - they didnt lose any cells in the thaw and they were starting to go to blast.
Natel, Hope your ET went really well. How many did you transfer? Hun, I only had one blast to freeze but it thawed really well so try not to worry - you have plenty there. And the doctors would not let you have the transfer if they think it would aggravate your OHSS so try not to worry about that either.Good luck hun.
India, thanks hun for your lovely words.Congrats on becoming an aunty - is this your first time? My neices are now having children of their own so I am also a great aunt.....life is funny sometimes. You said your last cycle was cancelled - what was the reason for that? Hopefully your next cycle will be more successful.
LJ, So you love the Irsih accent hey? Well you know my husband is Irish but I really dont notice it anymore. Isnt your hubbie Scottish - well that is a accent I can easily listen to. I wont understand a thing but boy wiil it sound sexy. Have you hung up your footie boots yet??!!Hope you are well hun.
Shajake, Good luck hun getting ready for your twins. DOoyou know their sex?
Trendy, Yeah, we have a FET date! Bet you and your arms are so glad.Good luck for Sat hun. Your daughters name is so gorgeous - does it mean anything??
LJHarmony, So sorry hun things didnt turn out the way were all wishing. So you have decided to step into the IVF world - well we are all here to welcome you. You must have been so proud of your little boy getting an award - I am sure he and your DH keep you going through all this.
Well, I am getting closer to test day ( Monday). I have had a few twinges but I know from my first cycle to try not to read into anything.I am really trying not to think about it and just treat it like any other month of naturally trying and waiting to see if AF shows up. It is hard, but I figure that if I keep thinking that IVF wont work then there is no point doing it. And I have only done 2 cycles, would I expect to be pregnant after just 2 tries naturally??? The only problem is going to be that on Monday I have to go to work but I dont want to receive any bad news there so I am tossing up wbout whether just getting the clinic to leave a message on my home phone and checking it on Monday night. What do you girls do?
Take care everyone and sorry to anyone I have missed,
Love
Donna
Tonysgirl - Otherwise for the news I get my DH to ring and then he can choose to tell you depending, although you might get an inkling. I have my fingers crossed for you you are such a kind thoughtful person you deserve this!!!!!
Tonysgirl and Mel-j - Thank you for thinking of me, I'm still around! Really busy at the moment with redecorating the new house. Currently sitting in the rental with lots of boxes packed to move over the next 3 days. Just needed 10 mins to relax, so thought I would catch up on what is happening (30 mins later  ). Sooooo much to do, but it will be nice to have my own house again.
We have visitors coming from the UK on Sunday until Thursday, which I am looking forward to. Unfortunately it is in between moving and cleaning the rental property, but there are 24 hours in a day :D .
I hope you are both well and will do a proper post when moved in and visitors have gone.
Roll on :tree: . Have not done a thing yet, but can't wait to put my tree up :ecomcity: .
Must go, getting my telephone points and aerial sorted this morning.
Hope all is well with everybody, look after yourselves.

Tonysgirl, oh I used to hate waiting for that phonecall. I used to answer it and DH was with me but we always new the answer because I always had AF by this time. If you dont want to recieve the news at work, just tell them you will call them in the afternoon when you get home maybe. That way you can have some privacy and you can be with DH. Hi everyone, Hope you are all having a great day.
Tonysgirl - I'm so excited and nervous for you. I have my fingers and toes doubly crossed and I have a good feeling that you'll be posting with a BFP on Monday !! I agree with Bradysmum, I would call the clinic when you get home, so you can pick the time and be prepared and have your hubby there aswell.
Macmum - How exciting for you moving into a new house... You will be all settled and organised to enjoy christmas (which is creeping up so quickly)
Natel - how did your transfer go ??? Can't wait to hear. 9 is a great number of eggs to have in storage.
trendy1 - only 2 sleeps til FET - how are you feeling?
LJHarmony - Good luck tommorrow with your appointment, I hope you get some positive feedback from the doctor.
Shajake - how are you feeling? How is that bag packing going? Do you know if you are having boys or girls? Do you have your names finalised ?
India - any news on your new niece or nephew yet? How are you feeling. Make sure you come and have a big vent if you are feeling upset about it all, we all understand.
Bradysmum - that party is creeping up. Are you all orgnanised ?
Beatrice - I hope you are getting some rest and enjoying your darling boy.
BecH and sksty - thanks for your encouragement, I hope you are right and I have some GOOD news very soon.
MY UPDATE - The clinic have just called and want me to come in for a scan at 1.45 today....I'm SOOOOOO scared. At the moment I at least have some hope, and I'm so petrified that after the scan I won't !! I feel sick with butterflies and am praying and crossing EVERYTHING that it is all ok. They said that as my levels will be over 1500 now, they should see a sac and possibly a fetal pole and heartbeat if it is a viable pregnancy. I don't know what will happen if they can't see anything... There has to be a pregnancy in there SOMEWHERE !!:detective:
My dh can't come with me :crying: as he is in Melbourne at a meeting and he can't get home in time... I asked if they could make it tommorrow as dh could come then, but the doctor is in surgery all day and can't scan me. SO I'll just be brave and go by myself. DH really wants to be there and I feel bad that he can't be.
I will let you know as soon as I get back to work after the scan what the result is.

AAARRRGGGHHHHHHH:banghead:
Would you believe that I STILL KNOW NOTHING.:crying:
Doctor scaned me and couldn't see anything - except a "Pregnant looking uterus" WHAT????
I cried my eyes out in his office and looked like an absolute IDIOT. He is saying that he is baffled about what is going on as my HCG levels all point to an ectopic - but he 100% guarantees me that there is NOTHING AT ALL in my tubes and no way it is ectopic.
SOOOOOOOOO, he said I have to wait until Monday to have another bloody blood test and then a scan again on Tuesday and he is sure that we will see SOMETHING THEN !!!
I asked him what he thinks is going on and he answered "Honestly, I have no idea"
I am just beside myself. Don't know what to do. IT is two full weeks since my first blood test at 14 days past transfer and I still don't know what is happening and won't for another 5 days !!!!
What am I going to do... PLEASE HELP, I'm an absolute mess. DH is SOOO cross and can't believe that we have no answers and all I can do is cry.:gloomy: I just want to know... one way or the other, I just need to know. I can't do this for another 5 days.
Thank you for listening gorgeous ladies. I dont' know where I'd be without this forum at the moment.
Love Emma.
Emma (1sttimeivf) - I read your last post and felt like crying for you. It is soooooooo weird what's going on - so weird and probably the most frustrating thing ever. I don't really know what to say. I guess though, I do ask you to try and be positive. You see, there's obviously something going on in there that points to pregnancy, there must be, so that's good. Maybe it's just a tiny tiny embryo / foetus???????? Maybe. So, please hang in there and be strong before the test in 5 days. Just have lots of huggles with DH adn have a good weekend together.
Please take care and just ry and relax over the weekend.
Have been following everyone's news, sorry no personals as it'd take me forever and I have so much on at the moment.
But a quick update on me. As you know, my cycle was cancelled in Oct, got my AF about 2 days later but it was different and just kept on flowing. Anyway, have to wait for the next AF to arrrive before I ring the clinic again BUT, the AF ain't coming!!!
38 days today!!
huh???
Did a PT with great hope that we miraculously gor pergnant naturally as the zinc DH is taking would have miraculously improved his SC, but no, it was a :bfn:
I think I'll call the clinic next week and ask if this is normal. is it normal ladies???
The whole cycle is way off kilter. Not fair really 'cause it is holding us back from starting the next IVF cycle.
Anyway ladies, much love to you all, with all your hardships (and for some, all your joys)
Will touch base again soon

Hi Emma,
You poor thing hun , I was so hoping you would get some sort of answer today.
Firstly, dont ever worry about crying over all of this - whether it be at home, in the car, or at the doctors office. You are ENTITLED to cry whenever you want.
Now, for the positives. It isnt ectopic - that is VERY good. Ectopics are very dangerous and can even be life threatning. The pregnancy cant be saved if it was ectopic so it would be all over red rover if it was.
What kind of scan did he do? Was it a vaginal ultrasound or just a normal ultrasound? In the first few weeks you can usually see more with a vagina ultrasound.
Hun, I know you are sick of blood tests and sick of scans but please try and not get yourself into too much of a mess - you could well be pregnant and bubba needs you to be thinking positive. I know it is sooooo hard but it aint over till that fat lady sings and I dont hear any singing yet.
I also know how hard it is when your doctor cant give you answers but sometimes medical knowledge only goes so far.Did he say that it could be a chemical pregnancy? Did he check your levels today?
So keep thinking of the positives hun - your levels seem to keep rising and you have had no bleeding. Maybe you could do some of your own research on the internet to see if you can find anything to give you some clues as to what may be happening.
I really hope your little one is just hiding and waiting to make his appearance next week.:fingerscrossed: My thoughts and prayers are with you hun...and always feel free to come on here and just vent out your frustrations.
Love

Hello everyone,
Hope everyone is well. I am just at work and having lunch so thought I would stop by.
Bradysmum: Not long now until Bradys party! It is so exciting!!
Macmum: Great to hear from you and you sound busy with the packing and visitors, hope all is well.
Melj: How are you going? Do you have any big plans for the weekend? Obviously I have the FET on Saturday and then we are off to Carols by Candlelight on Sunday night which Zahli is looking forward to, I think that I am too.
Hope all is well with you.
Tonysgirl: Wow not long to go now until you find out, I am wishing you all the best and have my :fingerscrossed: for you for Monday. Last time around I was at work when I got the results but I knew anyway as I had AF also so that was a give away. Anyway wishing you all the best for Monday. Our daughters name doesn't mean anything that we know of we heard it from Zali Steggell the olympic skiier and liked it so just changed the spelling.
Beatrice: Hope all is well with you and the family and Cian is settling in well.
Bech: Hope all is well with you and not too much longer until you find out.
Firsttimeivf: How are you going? By the time I post this you would of had your scan, hopefully you will have some good news. I am thinking of you and hope all is okay.
Leannelizzy: Hope you had fun at playgroup and are enjoying your day. HOpefully you may of just tested a bit early this morning?
Okay that is my lunch break over so hello to everyone else that I have missed - I know I have missed a few. I hope that everyone is well and will catch up soon.
I can't wait for Christmas!!:tree:
Firsttimeivf: I was posting at the same time that you were, I am sorry that they still can't give you any answers. This is so frustrating for you and DH, you are doing a tremendous job and you need to cry and vent and scream because this is just not fair - as you have said you just need to know. I hope that you have a fantastic weekend and maybe do something extra special to take your mind off things (I know easier said than done) I am thinking of you and DH and hope that you can get through these tough 5 days. We are all her with you!!
Jacquit: Hi, how is NZ today? Just thought I would let you know that our clinic makes you wait a month (or an AF actually) before you can begin your next cycle and my last cycle was 6 weeks, they told us that it was due to the drugs being in my system for the first couple of weeks so it put the cycle out of whack. They also told me to expect it to be late as well as it was common which is why they like you to wait a month. Also as you may of seen I was on day 22 (I think or maybe 23) when I ovulated which was longer than normal this cycle which is why I have had to wait an extra week and a bit for our FET this month. Anyway hope all is well and just thought I would let you know what happened with us.

Emma, I agree with everything Tonysgirl said. No bleeding, no ectopic and levels still rising is what you must focus on. If the doc didnt do a vaginal scan, ask for one, they show more detail I believe. Im so sorry DH cant be with you, this must be so hard on you. We are all here for you hun whenever you need to vent, cry & be angry. Please take care xoxox:hugs:
Trendy, hope work finishes soon!
Leannelizzy, sorry about your cycle being out of whack. I hope the dentist went well, I hate going to the dentist too!
Jacquit, I hope the clinic can give you an idea about whats happening to your cycles. It's so frustrating when you want to start your IVF and you cant because AF is stuffing you around. Let us know what the clinic says.:hugs:

Emma, I have been praying for you and hopeing everything will work out, levels are a very confusing thing, it would be easier to get a positive on a HPT and leave it at that.
My news is somewhat confusing as well.
A brief update, at 2weeks post transfer by BT showed a level of 19, very low, thought it was not a viable pregnancy. two days later another BT, still 19, defiantly lost this battle. Today another BT, 3 days later and my level is 459, the nurse is happy, doctor is happy and I have been told that I am defiantly pregnant, have to do another BT in a week. My levels more than doubled every 24hours in 6 days, all I can think is that one of the BT must be wrong. I had even considered the best time for FET, stopped taking the medication, pessaries and elevit, I was so sure the pregnancy had stopped progressing. All I can say is that no matter what dont give up. I still cant believe it, I am waiting for a phone call to say they have read the wrong file or something. Embies and bodies do absoultely whatever they want.
Fourboys: Wow congratulations that is fantastic news for you and your family. Wishing you all the best for the next 9 months!!
Bradysmum: I only have 2 weeks left at work after tommorrow before I start holidays and then I will be away for nearly 6 weeks which I can not wait for. I am over work at the moment especially when I applied for a promotion as did another girl on the same level as me and neither of us even get an interview because they don't want to upset either of us even when we work hard we don't get rewarded.
mel-j- We are going ahead with our last egg and hopefully it survives and gives us some good news for christmas
Goodluck your levels are good.
You poor thing the worse is not knowing atleast you could deal with it either way if you had some answers.
There has to be a pregnancy in there cause your levels wouldn't be going up and if it's not a etoptic then it has to be in the right place there is nowhere else for it to go.
Hopefully this time next week this will all be a distant memory and you can enjoy being pregnant.
Natel- We have never had our embies taken to blastocyst before this last cycle and we have always had success with them unfreezing but with this last cycle we have had a few that have not survived the thawing process but everybody is different
Fourboys- that is fantastic news its about time we had some positive news take it easy won't you.
Tonysgirl- hope your right hopefully it thaws well and we can have a dec FET .
With your results for Monday I couldn't wait till i got home from work i would plan too then come down to it i would either have a sicky or go home sick i'm so impatient.
But i would have done a HPT by now too.
goodluck:fingerscrossed:
Bradysmum- We got what we wanted for the house which was great. We didn't expect to sell it so quickly so we haven't even decided on a house or block of land just the area so now we have to move to my parents for alittle while and get cracking on buying land and choosing a house.
How are you ?
Jacquit- sorry to hear that you had no luck doing the natural thing and i hope af arrives so you can start to plan your next cycle.
When we wont them to arrive they don't and when we don't won them they come horrible things they are.
hope everyone else is doing well and good luck for where ever everybody is at

Hi everyone,
I've just spent the last hour catching up - its been a big couple of days!
COngratulations Fourboys - that is fantastic news!!!!!!!! It must be hard to believe but I'm sure its true. The DR wouldnt say so if he wasn't sure. Good luck to you.:yelclap:
Tonysgirl - Best wishes from me too!! I really hope Monday brings great news for you and your DH and will send you good luck on Monday. :wizard: My cycle was cancelled because I only had 2 folicles. They're upping my dosage this time so hopefully we will progress further. IVF is so mush more complicated that you think before you start it!! (as we all know!!) -
BecH - I hope things are going well for you too. Keep believeing that it can happen. Like Fourboys said you never know.:hugs:
FirsttimeIVF - You are very brave!! Just hang in there and I'm sure your answer will come before you know it and it will make all this worthwhile. You are absolutely right to cry, I would be too!! It must be so frustrating. Look after yourself, & let your DH take care of you. Its almost the weekend so get your favourite movies and magazines and snuggle up on the couch ( or whatever else makes you feel better) YOu deserve it. All the signs are positive. Take care
Jacquit - I have a similar situation. Cancelled in Oct. My period came 12 days later. his one hasn't come yet (Day 30 now). Apparently its normal, your body is just righting itself after the drugs (little does it know its about to get more . If you are interested Chinese medicine may be able to help fith your blood flow & getting circulation going which they believe helps. I (we) was on herbs & accupuncture for approx. 9 months trying to conceive naturally to no avail, but it helped in many other ways. When its time for Embryo trasfer (need to learn my acronyms) I'd like to get acupuncture before & after too.
Thank you all for asking, no I'm not an Aunty yet. Hopefully soon. Thank you for understanding how I feel too . I'm a frustrated non-pregant person though! I keep reading about birth and babies (to help me visualise my own) and want to tell my sister about about what I've read, what you can do etc.. to help her - but, its her time to do her way & me researching more about birthing than the actual pregnant person does has elements of a crazy lady - so I'l taking it easy.
If anyone does feel like a good read, and wouldnt find it too hard, there is a lovely site by a Sydney woman on her baby girl Ella Berry's first year of life. It has an incredibly realistic (i imagine) and moving account of her birth & then up until 1 year old. Its really really nice.
Here's the link http://home.iprimus.com.au/ambercarvan/contents.html
Best wishes everyone,

1st Cycle Oct 06 - cancelled
Hi everyone,
Egg Transfer went well, Dr said I still had a heap of fluid in my pelvis which is why i still feel so average, but he said it made for a good picture on the ultrasound, we could actually see the blasto in uterus, dh was very excited, I am of course cautious and i know it's going to be a long 2ww!! I said to dh i am not confident because i feel so average and even i don't want to hang out in my body, let alone how this embie must be feeling. Anyhow time will tell:fingerscrossed: We have 9 2 day embies frozen and 5 blasto frozen i so hope one will take because i don't think i could do it again.
Jacqui I had the same problem for a year trying to concieve naturally i had one cycle 22 then 35 then 55 then 68 after finally seeing fs he said i had mild pcos, anyhow at the time i saw him my cycle was like on day 38 and still counting and he said if it dosen't come in a week he was going to give me something so af would come and i could start a new cycle, and try clomid. Anyhow af came on it's own then dh sperm went terrible so here we are on ivf, but long story short:ecomcity: there must be something you can take, cause i know how damn frustrating it is, not to mention how bloated you get, so anyhow just a thought? good luck
Firsttimeivf
Cry, Cry Cry, it does help i do all the time and I'm sure your dr has seen it all the time too. Sometimes it just gets too much and that's ok. You wouldn't be normal if it didn't affect you, when i try and pass the time and stop my brain from overthinking, i go to the movies or get a dvd, because even if it's for one hour hopefully my mind is in a different place. Good luck. I recommend the notebook!!!
Tonysgirl goodluck over the weekend relaxing, my fingers are crossed that you get that:bfp: on Mon, i would take the sickie, but then again "i'm a work to live girl" much to John howards disgust.
Fourboys
wonderful news rest up relax and enjoy! :yelclap:
To eveyone else good luck! chat soon
Good luck to everyone and hope the next couple of weeks will bring some good news.
Phone lines being changed to new address tomorrow, so no internet for a couple of weeks max. Looks like a visit to the library for me!!!
Better help DH with sorting stuff for tomorrow morning.
:hugs: to all

Thankyou everyone for the well wishes.
Natel, I had 18 eggs removed and two put back in during this cycle, I had heaps of cramping, my stomach was swollen, I felt worse physically than at any other point during the cycle, sitting and moving was uncomfortable. It took about 4 days before I started to feel better, more normal and I have had a good outcome. I think the embryo will make itself very comfortable regardless of how you are feeling right now, mine did. Good Luck :fingerscrossed: .
Hi all - sorry but just a quickie again tonight. I am sooo tired and had a really busy day at work with end of month stuff
Firstimeivfer - Emma we are here any time you need us. I would have cried too but the good news is your levels seem to be going really well and are still climbing. It is still really early into your pregnancy and that could be why the fs could not see anything. My fingers and toes are crossed that you get the most wonderful news that u deserve next week (and your DH can be there with you) xoxo :hugs:
Tonysgirl - Hey there Donna. I am so excited for you and am sending loads of baby dust and positive vibes. I cannot wait for Monday to get here!!! I have not hung up my dirty old touch football boots yet but we did not play tonight as there was a rep game on - back in to the swing of things next week (probably a good week for me to have off to rest my battered knee!!)
Fourboys - WOW - that is all I can say. That is the most wonderful news I have heard in ages - yes it just goes to show that none of us should give up hope. Please keep in touch and let us know how you and your special bundle are getting on - well done!!
Jacquit - What abummer your af has not arrived yet. I am the same after a cycle and the meds seem to upset my system. My cycle is not normally regular but are normally between 33 - 45 days ......... BUT after all the IVF drugs is can be longer than 60 days!! I am hoping your does not turn out like that. I know there are tablets called Primolut the doctor can give u to bring on a period. i have used them b4 and they worked well - it may be worth asking if there is nothing in the next week or 2?? Good luck - I bet you cannot wait to start again. Thinkin of you.
Bradysmum - Counting down to the big day - It is almost like you are the child at the moment as I am sure you are more excited than Brady about his party - not to worry give him a couple of years and the tables will turn. I hope you have loads of fun and enjoy watching your little mans face light up on the day
Beatrice and Cian - Hello there mum and bub - sending you both hugs and kisses
To everyone eles that has had there EPU and ET. I am constantly reading how everyone is going and wish you all the best of luck. I bit tired for too many personals sorry :p
Big hugs and kisses to everyone
Emma - I am so sorry that they can't just give you a decent answer. At least it seems positive. Sometimes I do feel they monitor you too much. If they weren't doing this you wouldn't know anything except that you were pregnant. Maybe it is time to seek a second opinion?? I think I would definetly be phoning aroun and trying another ob/gyn that might be able to tell you more.
Fourboys - That is the most wonderful news
Congratulations. I hope you have a wonderful pregnancy free from anymore complications.
Bradysmum - not long now until someone very special turns 1!! Oh and at QFG a FET costs $1000 out of pocket and $1600 up front.
Tonysgirl - Best of luck on Monday. I feel really positive for you. Maybe you can start a landslide of :bfp: . Will you test or do you have willpower? I will probably test Thursday or Friday monring before I go in, I always feel better being a bit prepared.
Jacquit - How annoying AF always comes when you don't want her and now she won't come when you do. How's your diet going? I fell off the band wagon with the exercise component, but we are off to the beach for two weeks next Friday and I always walk heaps at the beach.
Well same old with me, 1 week to go. Yesterday I felt positive all day, but to be honest I think I am trying to protect myself a little.
Oh but DH, Ruby and I had the best fun because Kmart nears us marked down about 10 racks of women's and 10 racks of children's clothes to less than $2. We bought stuff for everyone, all my pregnant friends, DH's sister, mum, our nieghbour. Who cares if they don't like it for $2 they can give it to Vinnies. But it was all really quite nice, we love bargain hunting. I also bought some 0000 baby clothes, they can always be presents if it doesn't happen for me.
Four boys: Wahooooo congratulations!!!!
India: My DH has already tried the herbs thing, Nothing! He really tried so hard, but the herbs, yuck, they were gross. So we flagged that!
Sksty: Thinking of you and the FET of your last embryo. I must admit though , its great they can do it so quickly.
Well, little old NZ is freezing today, high of only 16!!! Down south had an overnight low of 1!!! And it is supposed to be the official first day of summer! yeah right! It betteer warm up soon. DH and I are off to Sydney / Blue Mountains next weekend, yay, I can be warm! He has a business meeting on the monday so he suggested I go with him early on the sat and we can head out to the Blue mountains. any tips anyone on the area? Where's a good place to stay?
Jacs
BecH: Ohhhhhh the diet! It sarted great but it really isn't going anywhre right now!!! It's so weird, it has just stopped decreasing. I'm hoping it is b/c my cycle is doing weird things and there's water retention etc but truth is, it probably isn't that, i think it's age! I only want to lose 3 kgs, thats all but i've never found it so hard!!!

 , hope all are well! Thank u for your support and kind words, it made the last few days a lot easier to deal with, thank you.
Just a short update on me; yesterday was EPU and I think I was more concern about the eggs that would be collected, I didn't really think about how I would feel  . Well on a good note 16 mature eggs where harvested, and should find out today how many of those have been fertilised :fingerscrossed: , however my tummy is so tender and I have been told to keep an eye out for OHSS, as I am at risk. How long does this feeling last for? I was thinking before hand that I would be back at work today, but really I can't get off the couch, but because I am drinking so much water (they said to drink 2-4lts a day for 3 weeks) I am up and down to the loo :) .
Anyway I am sure this feeling will pass, as I start Gel on Sunday and Transfer will be Tuesday, so then I will be able to join others in the 2ww period.
Enough complaining from me, I knew I would never make a good patient.
Anyway sticky vibes n baby dust for you all

A long time between posts. I have been keeping up to date daily on everyone's progress, there have been some weird happenings here girls, our embies truly are special arent' they. They just can not let us off the hook for a second! What :detective: we are are!
For everyone with good news, 2ww, epu's etc keep positive. For everyone with not so good news keep positive too! It will happen!!:wizard:
Beatrice: How amazing Cian is, he is beautiful! And you seem so together with it all, what a role model you are.
Well I am 19 weeks tomorrow, and still nervous as ever, I feel like I am constantly waiting for something to go wrong! :banghead: We have the morphology scan on Monday (my birthday hope it was a wise choice)? As we have had no testing on the bub we are both nervous that they are going to tell us something is wrong at this scan. My sister who has had two and is a midwife has told me everyone is nervous about this scan and it is normal to be this way. ::confused:
Will let you know how things go.
Take care everyone

I just want to say the biggest THANK YOU ever to all of you. All the lovely messages and words of support have just meant so much to me over the past couple of days. I can never thank you enough.:hugs:
fourboys - WOW - CONGRATULATIONS !!:smiliedance: I am so happy and excited for you. Cried my eyes out when I read your post, I was so pleased !! How are you feeling ?
Jaquit - Thank you for your message. I think you should definately call the clinic next week if af hasn't arrived. I am not too sure about how it regulates after treatment, but a phonecall to the "experts" may shed some light. It is frustrating for you as it is holding up next cycle though, so I would definately get onto it.
Tonysgirl - Thank you for your message. Are you excited/nervous/confident about Monday? Are you doing any more hpt's before hand?
Trendy1, Bradysmum, Sksty - Thank you so much for all your support and understanding. You are all angels:angel:
India - thank you too. Also, thanks for the link to that good story/site. I will have a look at it over the weekend.
Natel - well done - sounds like it went well. I will be keeping my fingers and toes crossed for you. You mentioned that you recommend notebook!?! Sorry, what is that ???
LJ - Hi, how are you. Thank you for your lovely message.
BecH - Thank you too. I agree about the testing. I spoke to a girl that works at the IVF clinic last night who I know and she reminded me that if it was a "normal" pregnancy I would have got a positive hpt and just be satisfied that I was pregnant and wouldn't even be seeing the doctor yet and wouldn't know any of this. Half of me would like to get a second opinion, but I'm a real chicken and would be scared my doctor would find out and then I'd feel terrible. K-Mart sounds like it was awesome fun ! Wish our local one would do that....what a great way to knock over the christmas shopping.
macca27972 - 16 is a great number - congratulations.... Make sure you take it really easy and try and rest as much as you can. I had EPU day, the next day and then the next day, as it was ET off work and just stayed in bed being a "princess" !!!!! I was sore for a few days... but keep an eye on it.
I hope I haven't missed anyone, but if I have accidently, HELLO, THANK YOU, GOOD LUCK, ETC. ETC.
I am trying to stay calm and pretend none of this is happening and hoping that time goes quickly until next week.
Take care all of you special people !
Love Emma. XXX
firsttimeivf- emma you are a very strong lady i would have been a total mess by now.
hopeforbub- i was so scared at my 18wk scan that something was going to be wrong i made myself physically sick for the two days leading up to it and on the day i was even sick while they were doing the scan.
You wouldn't be normal if you weren't scared so don't worry and look forward to seeing you little one swimming around in there.
Bech- thats great i love bargain shopping Kmart and Target are the best places for these things.
Macca27975- 16 eggs are great and :fingerscrossed: they all fertilise for you, when are they expecting to do a transfer?
How many do you think you will have transfered?
Hope you feel better soon i was pretty sore after my EPU as well but after 2 days i started to fell better again.
Natel- You poor thing what will happen with that fluid will it just go away.
It might make it more comfortable in there and your little egg might decide to stick around:thumbsup:
I felt the same way as you after my first cycle and when i had no baby at the end of it all i went again and i will probably go again after saying that this cycle too.
Not that you will have to worry about that cause this one will work think positively.
India_654- i was the crazy SIL doing the whole pregnant thing and birth thing more then her so your not alone.
thank god she understood well she said she did but i suppose they never understand until they go throught it but i'm sure your sister knows what you are going through.
no news for me only about the house just had our building inspection done and now all that is left is the pest and we can relax and start packing

Hi again all and it is great to here others have felt as I am right now! I feel if you put a pin in me I would pop :)
The clinic called this moring to let me know that we have 10 fertilised eggs. 4 didn't fertilise and 3 not muture enough. Now waiting to see how many make it to day 5, as the clinic has said that we will still loose a few in the next few days :fingerscrossed: , but at the moment numbers are on our side, whcih we are really happy about.
Thanks again and I must admit that my DH is waiting on me hand and foot, which I am enjoying.
tonysgirl Well hello there. How are you today? I am so excited for Monday, you having your BT and me going to my appointment, though i have to be honest, i am more excited about your results!! Hi Beautiful Ladies it seems like ages since I've posted...
Donna: thankyou for your kind words., yes we can't believe what has happened either. I guess it just wasn't meant to be that time. Yes IVF, most likely, you come to a point and I think that I've crossed mine...although DP still believe that we can conceive naturally. Good luck for your BT on Monday, how are you feeling? it's so exciting getting to this stage I hope this is your time.
macmum: I hope your move goes smoothly and your able to relax and enjoy your visitors...wow cyclone macmum, when are you blowing through tassie??
leannelizzy:I am so sorry to hear your news:hugs: and our cycles add insult to injury don't they!
Emma: I know how frustrating it is not knowing and how sick of waiting to hear one way or other...your patience has being well and truly tested and your fed up!! I hope that your wait is over next tuesday when you have your scan...I am praying for good news for you :hugs:
Natel: good luck in the TWW and hope your feeling a bit better now
macca: congratulations, you must be really happy with 10 fertilised eggs!! hope all continues smoothly for you
hopeforbub: 19wks:D it is so normal to be feeling anxious about bubs health...although, I have always had a strong belief in inter-uterine telepathy

I have another question to ask? my girlfriend has asked if I wanted to go and see a tarot reader on sun, I want to go but I am scared that she will tell me that I am not going to have any more children or I will be separated. what do you girls think?

LJHarmony Hi there, how are you? Its good to see you on here. To conceive naturally would be dream wouldnt it, i also wish that could happen, and i think i will be asking my FS on Monday when we go in, if it is at all possible. I wish you all the best with this, i know it is so hard to go through, but i think without this site, i would find it so so much harder to deal with, this site has been a godsend. Meeting people like you, who are so optimistic, and so positive, inspiring etc, its fantastic. Lets hope that next year is our year. There are quite a few of us on here that need some goodluck coming our way. Have a great weekend. :hugs:
mercimum Hi there, i watched that Look Who's Talking last night too. I thought it was amazing. DH and i watched it together, and he thought it all made sense. I guess you do hear that "neh" noise.. was that the hunger sign?? My friend who has just had a baby was doing it the other day, but obviously i hadnt watched the show then though. I think its a fantastic concept to work with, and i will buy the DVD for sure if we are lucky enough to get pregnant. It seemed to work well for the parents that were using her methods for a week. Boy the studio they were in last night was sooooo noisy!! As for the tarot reader, well im a bit of a sucker for that type of stuff. I have seen one before, and i have to say, a couple of those things have come true that she told me. I do want to go again though. I also, ok call me stupid, but they have psychic readings for sale through ebay, which we buy and sell on, so i thought one day i would buy one, wasnt expensive, you just send some photos and any questions to her through an email address, some of the stuff that came back was amazing... but i guess its possible that you can say some things that are always going to happen at some stage in your life... so who knows. But i have to say i do get sucked into it. I would love to go to that guy they show in the paper sometimes, or that lady they show in the womans weekly or womens day sometimes, she tells people how their deceased ones are and she is spot on usually with details that she hasnt been filled in on. Anyway, i say go for it if you want, you have nothing to lose. Have a great weekend.

thanks mel-j oooh I am really nervous just thinking about it. I guess I am a bit gulable with things like that. She wants to go on sun, but my dh works at fords & they have there family fun day on then. I think I am just making excuses to not go. I am just now having a little nervous giggle:laughing: .
I taped that show last night, dh was out playing the guitar in the study when he came in I said you should see this. His reaction was I would rather watch it when we have our petlebottom bubba so that it can be fresh.
I ran into a really good friend of mine who is also in my mothers group. She is about six foot tall weigh's about 35kg I think that she is anarexia. She has about 5weeks to go before giving birth to her second child. She looks like she needs to have a good fluff and things will be back to normal. She turned and said to me DO YOU REALLY WAMT TO HAVE ANOTHER ONE. I swear if I had cat claws I would have scratched her eyes out then & there in front of the whole swim school. But to my:eek: supprise I kept my composhure & turned to her and calmly said well as dh said we have the money & if we didn't try we would die wondering. She makes me cross, here she is anorexic & pregnant. I give her so much support & interest in her exciting time, even though I also find it really hard. I am happy for her & she goes and says that:banghead:
AAAhh that's better sorry just needed to get that of my chest.
have a great night all

mercimum, I saw a tarot reader once to find out if I would have kids. She told me I would have...................are you ready.................4!!! I was like WHAT THE:eek:    ??????? The amazing thing was, I went to see her the same week i had my first IVF appointment and she said to me, " Why are you seeing a fertility specialist?" I almost fainted!! Then she said that I would do IVF but she didnt say that I would get pregnant on it. I though she was amazing, alot of other things she said were spot on!! And i never gave her any info whatsoever!! Let us know how you go!!

Hi Mel, Im getting pretty excited about Sunday, and then on Monday we are just having both our parents and brother/sister and my best friend and her family over for coffee and cake!! He also has his maternal health nurse appointment on Monday and DH is taking the day of so Im rapt bacause sometimes the health nurse can be a bit mean and acts like you dont do whats best for your child! I think the yellow wiggle has been replaced!:)
Bradysmum oh good one!! You have now just fed my psychic frenzy  Now i really want to go and see another one!! That is amazing though, i am so intrigued as to how they can do this.

Mel, me too! Honestly some of the stuff she said was so true she had me in tears, especially the stuff about wanting to be a mother, it really was so unbelievabe! Im a sucker for those things too!! LOL!!
Bradysmum How would i go about finding a really good one in Adelaide? Im not sure how you can know if they are good. I really want to go and see another one. Mercimum got me thinking again.

Mel, I saw mine through a recomendation off someone. Always go and see one that you have heard is good. Its the best way sometimes. I have heard those ebay ones arent bad though. Let me know how you go. You know they are good when you dont have to tell them anything about yourself, IYKWIM. The word of mouth pyshics are the best ones I think.
Bradysmum Yes i think the best thing is to do word of mouth too. I used to work with a lady that saw a good one, i might ring her and find out the name. Ebay one i emailed with questions was good, but i think i would rather in person really. But i have tried both, so thats good. Anyway, im off to watch some tele before bed. I did 40min on treadmill tonight and then mowed the lawn! I deserve a lay down! Have a good night.

Do you like my chrissy tree??:tree: :tree: :tree: :tree: I though I would out a pic of it in my avater to show it.
Hi all
well yes im still around. i read the posts everyday to keep up with everyone.
i just havent been on much lately as i dont have any news as nothing is happening with me.
although i will know more on thurs as i see my dr then.
bradysmum: i love you chirstmas tree. what does brady think of it? are you all ready for sunday.
Tonysgirl: good luck for Monday :fingerscrossed:
Fourboys: congrates that’s great news.
LJHarmony: good luck with your next cycle.
Mel: hi how are you? hope your app goes well with the dr on monday. make sure you get all your questions in.
well i have had a busy night tonight. i have been helping my neigbour out as her little girl (17 months) is in hospital becuase she has a mouth full of ulsers . and hasnt been drinking or eating for the last 3 days. so she is dehidrated and on a drip. this family also has 3 yr old boy and the mum doesnt drive. so i picked the mum up from hospital while the dad stayed there as shes a daddys girl. took her home to get clothes and stuff.
oh and hows this the hospital will only let one parent stay over night. i think thats a bit rude. so the dad gets to stay. i so hope she gets better. as you would have guessed im very close to this family specially the little girl.
sorry for all the :ecomcity: :ecomcity:

Hi Ladies
Well, as if on cue on the first day of summer, who should raise her ugly head but ... ... ... ... ... ... AF. I think she thought she could add to my pain of have two teeth extracted yesterday by making an appearance. Fortunately the pain from both has subsided rather quickly.
Long story with the teeth - won't bore you all with it but basically I only have 8 adult teeth, the one's that were extracted were two of my remaining baby teeth I got when I was 1-2 yrs old. I now have about three months worth of dental work ahead of me but in the end I will have a normal looking mouthful of teeth.
Just as well the IVF is on hold until March - may defer longer as my dad rang today and he and his wife are coming over again in March :yelclap:. We will have to play it by ear - hubby & I are on zinc so who nows what might happen.
Love to you all

Good morning everybody.
Mel-j & bradysmum I thuink that I have started the wave. I just cracked when I read your little conversations to each other. My friend got a recommendation from her friend who went yesterday , it was her second time. She went over things that she had said in the previous reading plus some new ones. Everything was so spot on she said. her fee's are you pay whatever you think she is worth. You can also record the reading. I just rang my friend & said okay lets do it. She is going to ring her & see if we can be seen later today:eek:  . I am shaking like my leaf if about to drop of the tree.
Mel-j OOh you are soo good mowing the lawn( do you have lawn:laughing: ?) we have a combination of bindies and dust. and the treadmill very well done.
Bradysmum; Your tree looks fabalastic is it real? how does brady go near it? not long now till you spunks b'day. Lots of wiggling to be done on that day.
Leannej.I hope your little friend is feeling better soon. Did they say how she got all the ulcers?
Leannelizzy:Sorry that your af arrived isn't her timeimg impecable? I was a dental nurse for 12 years so I know what you went through. I must say I did like being on the other side. I hope you are feeling better soon.
jbearsmum;Hope you are well. You must be nearly at the end of your 2ww. Let's know how you are going.
Off the have a facial & massage. Good for the innerbeing. Can't wait.

Firsttimeivf, Emma - I found this on a site and thought you might find some reassurance. I honestly wouldn't worry about seeking a second opinion. My husband spent a lot of time in hospital and we realised early on that all Doctors know different things. You deserve to be reassured by someone.
Normal HCG blood levels vary widely between different women and in different pregnancies for the same woman. Be very careful when trying to 'interpret the numbers'. During the first 12 weeks of pregnancy, the level itself is NOT as important in how much it is rising every few days. Some normal pregnancies will have quite low HCG levels and still progress, ending in the birth of a healthy baby. The best way to confirm if a pregnancy is progressing is to repeat the blood test in 2 to 3 days time, and perhaps again 2 to 3 days after that. This is aimed at seeing if the HCG level is rising adequately.
NOTE:Be aware that even when a pregnancy is miscarrying the levels can slightly increase for a while, but not at the rate expected if the pregnancy was progressing normally. For example a serum HCG level of 3,400 IU/L on Saturday, followed by a level of 3,600 IU/L on Monday may be of concern, as the level should be more like 5,000 to 7,000 IU/L. Also it is normal for the HCG level to start decreasing after 12 weeks of pregnancy. However, essentially, after about 8 weeks of pregnancy the use of ultrasound will tend to be more reliable in checking the growth and wellbeing of the baby, rather than blood pregnancy tests, which are more relied upon from 4 to 8 weeks of pregnancy.
The HCG hormone can stay in a woman's blood at low levels for up to 4 to 6 weeks after a miscarriage.
The following table is a guide to what beta HCG levels can be during pregnancy. As you can see the range of normal levels is very wide.
Weeks of pregnancy after last period Days after conception HCG level for single baby (mIU/ml or IU/L)
Week 3 7 0 to 5
Week 4 14 (next period due) 5 to 426
Week 5 21 18 to 7340
Week 6 28 1,080 to 56,500
I pray every night that your answer will come soon.
Hi everyone, just 6 days to go for me to test. I had my final pregnyl shot yesterday, wow they make me like a cranky bull! I'm concerned about a false positive, did anyone have there pregnyl that close to the BT.

sksty, hi hun! What are your plans for today?
BecH, a BIG YIPEE & CONGRATS:yelclap: to your DH and this news!!! Thats fantastic hun!! Just 6 days to go, Im keeping my fingercrossed!
mercimum, hope you get in to see her today! Cant wait to hear how it went!! My tree is a fake one and so far Brady has been good with it he hasnt actually gone to touch it yet which is good. When I sing "Oh Christmas tree, Oh Christmas tree" he looks at it and smiles pointing his finger! But then again, he could be smiling at my out of tune singing voice, LOL:laughing: !!
Leannelizzy, Im sorry AF arrived. Big hugs for you sweetie. Hope your teeth/gums get better soon.:hugs:
Leanne, hope your neighbour's little one gets better soon, sending my thoughts and best wishes there way. Brady loves the tree, he stares at it and smiles! Take care sweetie xoxoxox:hugs:

BecH, the relief you must be feeling about your husband must be overwhelming. I know it is a yearly thing (my dad got cancer at 50, told he only had a 5 % chance of making it, he is now in remission) But each year that goes by that is clear makes your future so much brighter. If you are an addict of HPT, like I was, I would test in a couple of days, give the pregnayl time to leave, if it is a positive then the pregnayl may still be in your body as it may be too early for the hcg levels to be high enough to come up as a positive, try again two days later which should leave you two day till your BT. I tested on the morning of my BT and it came up a negative so I was expecting a BFN, for a week I believed that it wasnt our time, and then received some positive news. All I think I am trying to say is that even if the HPT shows negative, dont fear, it could still be a positive. I am praying for a good outcome, the best christmas present ever.:tree:
Thankyou to everyones good thoughts, I have been feeling happy and shocked, but today got some bad cramping for about an hour, no spotting so fingers crossed that everything is okay, I have stopped feeling quite so confidant now. Getting to the point of hearing "congratulations you are pregnant" is what all the needles, poking, proding, scans and lack of privacy is for, with so much at risk, I think I am going to worry myself sick with every little twinge, although the cramps were worse than period pain. I have a scan next thursday, so hopefully my jellybean( bub 2 be ) is nestled into the right spot.
I wish everyone the best of luck and I am eagerly awaiting firstimeivf's positive news. Hope those 2ww's fly on by.

Thanks Ladies - I am slowly recovering from the dental work.
Have just put Lachie to bed for the arvo after major tears :crying: when we dropped Daddy at the train station to go sailing. Had hysterics in the car which only subsided when I mentioned "chips". Not the best lunch but nothing else was going to work.
BecH - I used Pregnyl with my first IVF round. I found a website which told you how long it took for the Pregnyl to leave your system. I will see if I can find it and post it for you. 6 days sounds OK for a BT though.

Thanks Leannelizzy the website was much appreciated. It seems your rest month should prehaps be called bed month:p.
Hope everyone is having a great day! We are eating out our frezer and fridge before holidays and all we have left for the next week is 2 packs of mince, so I'm making lasagne and then doing a small shop tomorrow. At least I can't eat everything in sight to distract myself when we don't have anything!!!!

Hi everyone,
Will do personals later, but at the moment, DESPERATELY NEED YOUR ADVICE.
Today I should be 6w1d from ET or 6w3d from EPU (Which one do you work on ???? Pick up/fertilisation OR transfer)?????
Anyway, I have had some pain in my left side overnight and was panicking. Called my ob who is off this weekend, so went into the ER.
They were lovely and did a urine test, blood test etc. and did a scan.
THE GOOD NEWS: I saw a sac....finally some proof that there really is a pregnancy causing these hcg levels.
THE BAD NEWS: It only measured 5mm which they said is consistent with around 5 weeks, not where I am meant to be at.
Any thoughts ?? I'm really starting to get used to the idea of this pregnancy being doomed. I have hcg test Monday and then back to IVF doc on Tuesday for another scan - but I think I'm out of luck. What do you think????
Panicking and sad !!!! :crying:
Love Emma X
Hey there,
Firsttimeivf, That's great news they have found the sac is it possible it is a late implanter? If your levels are still going up, that can only be good. Depending on how old your embie was when transfered (blasto?or 2days) would make a difference too I imagine. I am keeping my fingers crossed for you, are you seeing your fs tomorrow?
The notebook is a movie, i really love it, everytime i watch it i cry it's the most beautiful love story. For me sometimes a movie takes me away from thinking about my uterus 24/7 if you know what i mean?
Macca, Hope your feeling ok hun, I so know what your going through, good news my EPU was Friday last week 26 eggs and I felt completely normal Yesterday (Friday) and i had a moderate case of OHSS. I would start to feel good eat then, feel so full i couldn't breath it was horrible, so stay on that couch eat small portion i really think that eventually help me. I stopped overdosing on fluids too and i felt less like a washing machine. Good luck with your embies too, are you trying for a blasto? are they freezing any at 2 days? when is you et?
Sksty Thanks for your concern, i feel heaps better now, my stomach has gone down heaps so it must mean the fluid has been reabsorbed which is what the dr said it would do, thank goodness, goodluck luck with your packing!
Tonysgirl goodluck for Monday, thinking of you!
Just a quick question, I am taking progesterone Crinone 8 % i read in the side effects it can make you tired , sore breast, emotional, i seem to be suffering all of these. Has anyone else had this experience? Does it last the whole time? I think it would be far to early for pregnancy symptoms so I'm blaming the progesterone.

IVF/ICSI CYCLE OCT/NOV BT 11/12/06:fingerscrossed:
Hi all
well we just sold our jetski to fund our next 1-2 cycles. i am so sad as we didnt want to sell it. :crying: but i supose you have to do what you have to do to get through this rollercoaster.
Bradysmum: good luck with the party tomorrow. hope it all goes well. hope you have good weather.
Natel: i also had the same symptons when i was on the crinone. i was also very bloated after eating. and yes i had these symptons till the BT.
Leannej- We sold our jet ski to fund our honeymoon we had only had it 1 year so my husband wasn't happy but you do what you gotta do i suppose.
Leannelizzy- Glad your recovering.
Natel- the bloating is the most uncomfortable thing glad that is resulving
I had all the side effects that were listed and some that weren't but then i had my:bfp:
so goodluck
Bradysmum- Bree had two birthday parties today a 1st birthday and 5th birthday so we had a pretty busy day but she went down at 7 so DH and i are just about to eat apple pies and watch foxtel.
Goodluck with tomorrow hope everything runs smoothly.
Give brady a birthday kiss for mehappybirthday
Firsttimeivf- thats wonderful news that they found a sac, never rely on those scans in the first few months cause they never get your date right till the 18 week scan, and maybe it was a late implanter.
I went from EPU date but i don't know if thats right.
Is this your first pregnancy?
Beatrice- your little man just gets more cute every time :hugs:
Hope everyone else is doing well and having a good weekend.

firstimeivf, I think it being a late implanter could be a reason. Considering on your last scan they saw nothing, means that the baby is growing. I am having a scan at 5w 6days past ET and they dont expect to see anything except a sac, which is what you saw YEAH.

Hi girls,
Bradysmum, I hope the party goes really well for Brady tomorrow. Cant wait to see the party photos. That is so sad about the yellow wiggle – I would say he must really love his job and it would be so hard for him to come to terms that he wont be doing it anymore. Love your Xmas tree! Tony & I are always so lazy putting up our tree – we might just get it up before Dec 25! And thanks so much for your good wishes – but please don’t burst any vessels! But keep up the bum dancing – I am sure it is giving Brady a giggle!
Enjoy tomorrow – it has been a long time waiting for you and your DH .I think a few Kleenex tissues are going to get used tomorrow, and that is just me thinking about how special a day you will be having.
Beatrice., Cian is growing up so quickly! Soon he will be making his own posts on Bub Hub! Love to you and your little family.Has your mum returned to France?
Macmum, How is the move going hun? Is it all done? Are your visitors from the UK family or friends?Hope they enjoy their time in Oz and that you arent too tired from all the moving to enjoy their stay.
Jacqui, Hi hun. Sorry that your cycles are stuffed at the moment.Do you normally have cycles that are spot on? I am sorry but cant help you with your question as my period returned to pretty much normal after my first BFN cycle. But I agree with India, acupuncture can help bring on AF when she is too lazy to come by herself. I have been doing it since my D & C and it has really helped bring my cycle days back to normal. Although I hope I don’t have another cycle till about 8 months from now..
That’s great that you will be visiting us here in the other downunder! The Blue Mountains is only about 1.5 hours form where I live and I love taking drives up there. There is a beautiful village called Leura which is 5 mins from the actual Three Sisters. I really recommend you go there – beautiful shops and lovely places to eat ( diet – what diet !! ). Hope you have a lovely stay and that it isnt too hot – they had bushfires up there recently so I hope it will be cooler when you arrive.
Trendy, thanks hun for your good wishes.Sounds like you are really busy at work at the moment so hoping you are enjoying a relaxing weekend. That is a bit of a stupid reason for not promoting either you or your co-worker. I am sure you both would have been pleased if at least one of you got the job! What are you planning for your 6 week break?
Fourboys, What FANTASTIC news! :smiliedance: so happy for you hun.Looks like your little one was just a late developer. As you said " Embies and bodies do absoulutely what they want" . IVF wouldnt be IVF if it didn’t involve worry and doubt but just try and celebrate each milestone. A few days ago your levels were only 19 – then look what happened. I hope the scan gives you the reassurance you need. And I have heard so many times that cramping is normal - just your embie snuggling in.
India, hi hun, thanks for your good wishes. Are you going for your next cycle once AF arrives? I hope the increased dosage helps. What was your dosage on the first cycle? Has your little niece or nephew arrived yet.? I hope you will be able to enjoy the moment but understand the sadness that comes from it also. But there is an old wives tale that if you hold a newborn when you are trying that you will be next.So I think you should offer lots of babysitting duties for your sissters bubba!!Hope that it will be your turn soon hun.
Natel, that transfer sounded good hun – try and keep positive.Hope all that fluid is going down and that you are being spoilt rotten this weekend. And believe me , I am also a work to live girl also, its just that my boss has been so good to me during this whole IVF journey and he knows I get my results on Monday so taking a sickie would be like taking advantage of his good and caring nature. I have decided to get the clinic to ring me at home and leave a message and then Tony & I can listen when we both get home. Thanks for your good wishes hun. And I used the Crinone with my last transfer and all your symptoms you described are normal.
LJ, hi sweetie:wave: , Thanks for your good wishes hun – it does mean a lot to me.What have you been up to this weekend? Have you done any Xmas shopping?
Bech, I would just love to start a landslide of BFP’s for next week. It is funny but I was thinking if I did get a BFP it would really encourage you younger girlies if an old geriatric like me could get a positive!! I love how in your signature you have " Ruby, we are trying to make that bubba sibling for you" – so sweet. I completely understand this 2WW madness but you have such an excellent chance of getting that BFP continue with those positive thoughts. And such great news about your DH – this is going to be a month of good news for you!!
Macca, hi hun, well done on those eggs.I hope those 10 little embies are growing as we speak. But please take it easy this weekend and cant wait to here how you go at the transfer. And enjoy the spoiling from DH – I always take the opportunity to milk it for all its worth!
Hopeforbub, Great to hear from you hun.19 weeks – that is fantastic.Good luck with the scan – I am sure it will all be fine, you have no reason to believe it wont.I hope Monday will be a great birthday for you – please let us know how it goes.
Emma, hi hun, hope you are getting through this weekend. Try and not let that first scan worry you. The machines in the ER dept I don’t think are as powerful and acuurate as the ones at the FS. I also had a scan at 5.5 weeks in the ER when I thought I had an ectopic and all they could see was that it was in the right place - didn t even attempt to measure it. Wait until the scan on Tuesday and see what your FS says – remember he is the specialist, not the ER doctor ( as great a they are ).
MelJ Hi hunny, thanks for your good wishes. Monday is also a big day for you so I really appreciate you thinking of me when you have so much coming up. I hope you are enjoying your weekend. Havent asked for a while, how are those evil stepchildren of yours? Any more progress with your DH’s rights as far as they are concerned?
LJ Hamony, thanks for thinking of me, I really hope it is my time. But I hope it is everyones time soon – we all deserve it don’t we. I am praying that IVF will help you grow your family and that we are all celebrating Xmas next year with a bubba in our arms.
Mercimum, Hi hun. Never been interested in Tarot cards but having said that if they told me good news I could esily be converted! What is a " good fluff" ? Does it mean a good F**k or a good meal? I am not great with Aussie slang! Did you end up going for a reading?
LeanneJ, Hi hun. It would be wonderful to have such a great neighbour like you. I hope the little one is getting much better – would be very scary. I agree – both parents should be allowed to stay – the poor mum must be worried sick at home. I am sorry you had to sell your jet ski to fund your bubba dreams. In America, for those with health insurance, I believe all the IVF expenses are covered. We do have to be thankful for Medicare though, especailly the threshhold bonus that only came in over the last few years. It has really helped us to plan more cycles that we never could have done financially otherwise.I hope that soon you will have that bubba and then get a bigger and better jet-ski!
Leannelizzy, Good luck with all the dental work – if nothing else that will prepare you for all the needles in IVF!! Where does your Dad live? Hope the zinc does the trick – I have heard great things about it.Love the picture of Lachlan n the computer – they do start early these days..
Well, I am slowly getting to D day – blood test on Monday. I had been OK up until yesterday when all the normal doubts and tears came. So I crumbled and did a HPT this morning. Now, there was a faint, faint, faint line. When I say faint I mean barely visible without my mind willing me to see it. But I showed Tony and he saw it also ( we are both mad so that doesn’t really help! ). Anyway, I decided that no more HPT’s as they are evil ( unless there is a bold bold line and then they are fantastic! ). I will wait out till Monday and just take whatever news comes our way. I still talk to my little one though and let her know how much me and her daddy love her and are hoping that she is able to make it.
So girls, please think of me for Monday and I hope I can bring some good news because we all know that good news for one gives the rest of us hope and that is good news for all of us.
Love
Donna

You ladies are simply amazing:yes: :D
Hi Ladies,
I am new to this board and hope you don’t mind me butting in to your group like this! I have been reading your stories since Part 4 and can’t begin to tell you how amazing you all are! I hope I have even a small percentage of the courage and strength that you all have.
I little bit of my background. I am 30 years old and my husband is 41 years old. We have been officially TTC #1 since January 2002 and have suffered one miscarriage in November 2001. We have seen various specialists and even tried alternative treatments but have been unsuccessful. I have been diagnosed with polycystic ovaries yet my hormone tests came back in the normal range. I have tried 5 rounds of Clomid and still nothing. Last year DH and I went through Concept in Perth and found that DH had a poor SA sample. Based on this one test we were pushed into doing IVF and my scheduled laproscopy and other tests were cancelled because there was "no point, since we have found the reason for you not falling pregnant". The FS was very blunt with me over the phone and told me that we have less than 5% chance of ever conceiving a child and that if we didn't choose IVF then it would definetly never happen. I found her conduct very upsetting as it seemed all she was interested in was getting us into her IVF program. We stopped being patients immediately. I was very upset and tried to "get on with my life". I was prepared not to be a parent and deny the ache deep inside.
During the last few years many friends and family have had success in the TTC game. Both of my brothers wives have given birth to my two beautiful nephews, Owain and Angus. I have been very "strong" in public throughout this time but have quietly died from the hurt of not being successful myself. The final reality check was in October this year, when my best friend gave birth to a very beautiful daughter and hence I am on this fertility road again.
I have my first appointment with a new specialist on Monday. I am very nervous and excited about going through this journey again. I was wondering if you could offer me some advice on what questions I need to be asking? I am prepared now to go through IVF is that's what it is going to take.
Thank you for taking the time to read my post and I hope you don't mind my intrusion in your wonderful circle of friends.
Happy Party Day Brady (and of course bradys wonderful mum and DH).
Have a smiply gorgeous day filled with cake, fun and laughter, and lots and lots of birthday cuddles.
KBL2703 - It must be somewhat of a relief to try again, hope is such a thrill. I asked about the clinics success rates and costs, but they sent this out well in advance to the Dr's appt. With the Doctor I just enquired as to our options and the varied success rates for us with each of those. I wanted more a feeling with our Doctor and he has been really good, he even uses my husband (he's a medical student) as an assistant in surgery, so we have really formed a bond.
Tonysgirl - You are so sweet, and dedicated with your in depth personals. It is always lovely to see your long list with gorgeous messages to each. Thanks for your positive thoughts, I feel really warm at the moment which is a funny preg symptom I had last time :fingerscrossed: (in fact DH asked if I could move away from him last night as even with the A/C on I was making him hot :p ) I hope so much it is all perfect fr you tomorrow with a nice high level:yelclap: . Two of the mums in my playgroup are forty and concieved quickly and another mum is 24 and had 2 miscarriages, so I never think age is that reliable, something much greater controls it.
Emma - it really sounds more and more positive. Your levels are still going up well, so see if you can make your head place some trust, but I couldn't even imagine how hard it would be! But don't worry too much about stress levels my pregnancy with Ruby was up there with the most stressful situation and she is perfect. When would you be due?
Oh wow it just started raining, the sound is beautiful to QLD ears, my DH and DD can snuggle up in bed, I had to get up and pee again, damn post baby bladder :p

BecH, you are such an early bird. Your symptoms are sounding great, a BFP is just around the corner.
KBL2703, my DH's sperm had 0 mobility so we have just finished our first round of IVF/ ICSI. It is a journey that is unique to all, exciting and nerve racking all at once. We went through QFG, who even after our doctors visit were happy to answer any questions we had at any time throughout the treatment. I hope all goes well and 2007 is the year for you.

Good Morning to my Cyber-Friends....
Mel: Thankyou for your kind words, though I don’t know if I am all those things…I am just trying to make sense of what ever hand we are dealt with, but thankyou. I am so grateful for finding everyone on the ivf thread and sharing this journey with wonderful women….like you. Some happy news is what we all need and I hope that our time is next year…to have our babies for next Christmas, a dream come true:hugs:
Bradysmum:  I hope you both enjoy Bradys birthday party today!! I hope the day is wonderful and the celebrations continue into tomorrow his day…wow one!! I can’t wait to see the photo’s too, gorgeous boy.
BecH: thankyou for finding the hcg article, it was interesting reading.
Leannelizzy: Sorry that AF came ((hugs))
Fourboys: Good luck for the scan on Thursday
Tonysgirl: yes, we all deserve it. I really hope that it happens for all of us :hugs:
That sounds so promising…a faint line…you must be starting to get excited, I hope you get brilliant news tomorrow:fingerscrossed:
KBL2703: Welcome aboard!! You’ve come to the right place for advice, support. I hope your appointment goes well tomorrow and you get the answers you need to start this journey…
Yesterday, I had the virus that DP&DS have had, yucky vomiting and diarrhea thankgoodness it was only a 24hr virus.
I think with finding snakes in our backyard lately, that I'll be using the treadmill now for exercise...don't like the idea of coming across snakes....hope your all enjoying your sunday...
Hello everyone,
Bradysmum: We hope that Brady has a fantastic party today and he has an absolute ball opening all of his presents and that you enjoy the day as well and are not stressing I am sure that everything will be perfect for you all.
Firsttimeivf: Sending you hugs and hope you finally get some answers at your appointment.
Melj: How are you? Hope you are having a great weekend.
Tonysgirl: Wishing you all the best for tommorrow and will be waiting to find out how you go. Work is still busy but had to get on today to update, we are heading back to WA for Christmas over the 6 weeks and then heading back mid January as Zahli starts school so we have to get her ready (as well as me). Thinking of you for tommorrow.
Sorry but I have to cut this short as I have to go out to a birthday party. Well we are now on the 2ww as I had the transfer yesterday so we had 1 embie implanted and it was the first one we defrosted so we still have 5 waiting for us. I am not on any crinone or injections though is that normal? They said that my levels were perfect and I don't need it. Anyway must go hope everyone is well and will catch up tommorrow.
:xmas:
Hello all - hope you are all enjoying your Sunday
Bradysmum - The day is finally here!!! I bet you are sooo excited and that you are all enjoying Bradys party. You will be all WIGGLED out by the end of the day I am sure. Give Brady a big kiss for me. Is is actual birthday today or tomorrow?
Leanne J - I there. I am glad u are still around. I feel a little like you when I am not doing a cylce and feel like I don't have alot to "chat" about online but am constantly keeping up with where everyone is at. Bummer u had to sell your jetski. It sucks that alot of us don't have the money freely available. Maybe when you have your bubba you can save up and get another one?
Natel - I hope you are coping with your 2ww. When is your BT? The symptoms you are having on the Crinone all sounds normal to be. I think it is cos of the rising progesterone levels which is a very good thing!!!
Firstimeivfer - I know u are constantly worrying and you are probably not going to stop till you see that scan that shows a beautiful bub that is healthy and active. I guess you need to look back on the progress u have made. All your BT's are increasing at a good rate and last week the fs could see no sac and now they can. The measurements could be from a late implantation. Did the doctors and the ED tell you what your blood results were. Is your progesterone rising as well (I think my doc is happy with anything over 40)? Are you still on the pessaries? Good luck with your next BT tomorrow and your IVF appointment on Thursday. I will be thinking of you and checking up on you :hugs:
Fourboys - you poor thing hun. You seem to be on such a roller coaster. I have had cramping with both of my pregnancies which I think the doctor said was the uterus changing and getting ready to grow a bub and also because of all the hormones running around in your system (especially the progesteron increasing). You have your BFP with increasing levels and your AF has not shown so it is all still positive. Good luck with your appointment and scan on Thursday. I am hoping and wishing that it gives you loads of encouraging signs.
Tonysgirl - Hello there. Are you driving yourself mad yet!!!??? Only one more sleep to go YIPPPEEEEE!!!! You will know tomorrow!! I will be constantly checking in to see how u are giong although it does not sound like you will get your results till after work. I am glad you and Tony will be able to get the results together. Yes, well done of u to remember. My DH is Scottish although he does not have an accent any more  Bummer that - I think it is sexy too. He emigrated with his family when he was 8 so lost it after a while. His parents are still quite broad though. We had my works xmas party last night and my work friends hubby still has a strong Scottish accent. He was up singing Kareoke and sounded great - I could have listened to him all night. I have started a little bit of our chrissy shopping but really need to get stuck into it. Our xmas tree tends to stay in its box until the 11th hour as well....... once it is up it is hard to take it down and has still been up well into January before - very lazy of me!!! Sending you loads of baby dust (again!!)
KBL2703 - Welcome to our thread. I agree with everything the other girls have said on IVF appointment advise. You definately need to find a clinic your are comfortable with. I am in Newcastel and go to HIVF - I cannot fault them and everyone is understanding and so lovely. I tend to find it helps me if I write down any little question that comes into my head and take my "list" with me to our appointments. I also try to do a bit of my own research so I have an understanding of things and ask heaps of questions. I have had 4 transfers (the last one was a BFP but ended in m/c) and find that I am learning more everytime and my docs are adapting each cycle so it suits me. Good luck and hang around.
BecH - Hey hun - how are you feeling this weekend? My fingers are tightly crossed for you. When is your BT?
LJHarmony - I don't blame you for wanting to avoid the ssssssssssssssnakes!!!! Although I have to admit I am more scared of spiders - the big ones freak me out and if there is one in the house I cannot walk past it. I always have to get someone to catch it and put it outside in the bush (I don't want to kill them I just want them out of my house!!!!) So turn on your radio or TV turn the volume up so you can bop to the lastest hits and hit the treadmill sista! You go girl and look after yourself
Trendy1 - Well done on your FET on Saturday. I have always been on some type of pregesteron support but my levels are normally pretty low so I need it. I havent heard of not being on anything before but I am sure there are some girls that dont need it. I guess if you have any questions or are worried about it give your FN a call just to double check. You could also ask for a BT to see that your levels are still stable after your ET. If there is any sign then that your progesterone is dropping or not high enough they can put you on support then (this has happened to me b4 and my pessaries were increased) - good luck and keep in touch.
I had my works xmas party last night and had a few wines. I had lots of water to drink so did not feel hung over this morning. Although I was very tired and had a granny nap this afternoon. We played barefoot bowls in the afternoon and then stayed at a resort for the night where we had dinner and kareoke (I am the worlds worst singer so only got up infront of the microphone when I was in a group and I made sure I was at the back!!!) It was so much fun but we did not crawl into bed until about 3.30am. I will definatly be going to bed early tonight.
My other news is that my FS thinks that I ovulated around Tuesday or Wed last week which would mean that I ovualted on day 25 WHICH IS FANTASITC FOR ME!!! Lately it has been day 48 or day 60. I have not been charting this month as we are meant to have a break but I did notice a change in my CM (it was eggwhite) and thought that it was quite early for me. I thought I would take the chance and phone my nurse to see if they thought it would be worth doing an FET if I was ovulating so early (that would mean no stimulation meds etc). So they did 2 BT's on the Thurs and Friday and it confirmed I was right and had ovulated on the Tues. The bummer was that it was caught too late to do the FET but I was not upset at all as I think it is good that I have a break for a month or 2. I was just really happy that I had ovulated at more of a "normal" time. I should get my AF around the 12\12 and then I will go in for a BT on the 28/12 to see if we can catch it again for an FET in January
Hope everyone has a good old fashioned xmasy Sunday night and I will see you all tomorrow

Good evening girls,
Just a short post as I am knackered. My feet are killing me and I have a bad headahe!
Brady's party went fantastic. All the kids had a ball, the jumping castle is soooo worth the money, even my friends and I had a jump when it had quieted down.
He has got so many pressies I dont know where to put them all!!!
Well tomorrow my miracle turns 1. I cant believe this time last year I was in the start of labour. Dreams and miracles do come true girls, please believe me. Dh & I would never have dreamed in a million years that we would have a child and now he is turning 1. Stay positive and never ever give up on your dream.
I will log on later or tomorrow for personals.
Tonysgirl, in case im not back on later, good luck for tomorrow hun. I will be praying and thinking of you.:fingerscrossed:
Take care girls, you are all so special to me and thankyou for allowing me to share this with you all, it means so much.:hugs:

:crying:
Love Emma X
Emma
If we are talking about weeks of pregnancy (which I assume we are) you should count from the date of LMP (last AF). So if you are 6 weeks since EPU then I would think you are looking at 8th week of pregnancy.
On your u/s results, I have taken out my ultrasounds from when I was pregnant with Lachlan (admittedly it was a natural not IVF) but here are the dates (LMP then u/s warning u/S has error of +/- 5 days early and +/-2wks after 20 weeks) and length (crown to rump (leg) from those:
10w3d 10w2d 35.7mm
12w3d 12w4d 5.72cm
13w3d 14.7cm
18w4d 19w5d
23w4d 24w4d
As you can see u/s dates are really a guess based on a "normal" pregnancy.
So your pregnancy is not following the normal trend, many don't and still result in a happy, healthy baby. My advice is stop worrying 'cos it ain't doing you or your bub any good at all. Try to relax and I am sure you will get the result you are after soon enough.

Hi girls,
Leannelizzy, Good luck with all the dental work – if nothing else that will prepare you for all the needles in IVF!! Where does your Dad live? Hope the zinc does the trick – I have heard great things about it.Love the picture of Lachlan n the computer – they do start early these days..
Love
Donna
xx
Hi Donna
My dentist was surprised at how I handled the needles on Thursday - if only he knew I had been thru an IVF cycle. I shouldn't be surprised by the dental work, I have known since I was 8 - bring it on I say!
Dad lives in Kedron, Brisbane. He came over in September for a couple of weeks after mum was diagnosed and promised to be back around Xmas - until he broke his ankle two weeks after getting home. Lachie hadn't met him before he came over (and stayed with us) but he took a matter of hours before he was sitting next to Granddad reading books. Even while I was on the phone to Dad he was saying "Hello... ... ... granad (granddad)".
Lachie loves the computer, he will come into then study and say "hello", then when I shut it down it's "bye bye".

Hi LeanneJ
Yes referrals only last a year - I even had to get a second one for my FS clinic as the original didn't have huuby's name on it. My FS was also my OB for Lachie and I needed a fresh referral to see him for infertility issues.
BTW - love your name (spelled right too!!)

:banghead: Aaaarghhh!! My cycles are driving me nuts.
TMI WARNING
This AF has been the weirdest yet - CD1 spotting to very light flow, CD1 night - very heavy flow, CD2 heavy to normal flow, CD2 night - nothing to spotting, CD3 spotting.
Before my IVF cycle they were 3-4 days long. I am starting to think my worst nightmare of early menopause is nearly here :gloomy:
Here's hoping the next few months bring better cycles.

I worry about the same thing leannelizzy., keep thinking that it's the reason I've have missed 3 AF's and so far no explaination...
But when we have BT's that check hormone levels our FS/gyno's would have to tell us if we were perimenopausal right???
:( not going to beleive it till it happens...totally menstrual here and too young for it too happen!!!!!

When I had by BT's, I asked my FS/gyno if my low hormone levels were due to early menopause. His response was that even though the perimenopausal test came back negative, it is not very accurate and given my family history it is very possible that I might be!! At least I have two younger sisters, one of whom may be willing to help me if I need it.
BTW - my family history is my mum and maternal grandmother went thru menopause at 37  !!
:fingerscrossed: I can squeeze another bub out of this body!!
Tonysgirl- you did really well to get to sat before doing a hpt in the first place and hopefully that line is a positive waiting to be conformed tomorrow let us all know how you go goodluck:fingerscrossed:
KBL2703- You are a strong lady yourself it's so hard to watch other people experience the miracle you so long for. This thread is the greatest the ladies are so supportive and answer all the questions you have and even the ones you don't. They help you when you wuestion yourself which i have found i do alot since starting the ivf journey..
My first question to the FS is can my husband have another Sperm test as they differ everytime and you never know.
Also has you heard to Zinc my dh has very poor sc and we had to ICSI then we saw on a TV program about Zinc being used in American for people trying to concieve so we thought we would ask FS about it and she said go for it and we will see if it makes any difference it's a wonderful sperm creator cause guess what next sc was normal and has been ever since beening on it and its also good for the skin so double bonus maybe give it a go you get it at the chemist or health food store.
My next question would be when can we start and whats involved be warned but it is expensive but well worth it and you do get some back from medicare.
Hope all works out for you and keep us posted on what is happening and hopefully you wont be waiting to long for that big fat positive.
LJHarmony- hope you are feeling better and stay out of that backyard away from those snakes.
Trendy1- if your levels are good and they don't think you need meds thats great hope the 2ww goes quickly for you.
LJ- You sound like you have a very exciting life and thats great best medicine is laughter. Glad you had fun at your X-mas party and good on you for getting up in front of everyone and giving singing a go i have the worst stage fright ever. Its wonderful that you ovulated earlier then usual and hopefully that means you will do it again next cycle and you can start preparing for a FET early next year.
It could be the start of a great year to come.
Bradysmum- the party sounds like it went without a hitch and everyone had fun including you. I told you you need a new house to fit all the presents in but isn't it wonderful, i think i had more fun then bree opening all the presents to see what she got she couldn't have cared less.
Rest up and i hope your feet and head feel better in the morning and give Brady a big kiss happy birthday from bree.happybirthday
Jacquit- how are you going any sign of AF yet? Hope you had a good weekend.
Firsttimeivf- Goodluck with your BT and scan hopefully you will get all the answer you need to continue on with a stress free pregnacy.
Like some of the ladies said try not to stress especially at this stage in your pregnancy as it isn't good for either of you.
:shame:
Fourboys- hope evrything is running smoothly for you.
To everyone else that i have missed hope you all had a good weekend and look forward to catching up soon.
We found a block of land today so hopefully we can put a deposit on it this week and start the process of choosing the house and getting it started cause they say nothing happens over christmas so atleast if we have the block of land in the new year we can get the ball rolling.
:smiliedance:
Leannelizzy- thats great that if you need it your sister will be willing to help that is amazing. I always said that if i could i would do it for someone else but i can't even do it for myself.
:)
