Nasty MIL

Sorry Ladies, I can't seem to delete this post. i decided in my original post that i had raved on way to much and it's our own problem to sort out. Its just that my MIL can be so vindictive and manipulative and it really is scary how she treats those around her (and has done for many years) and then twisting it all around to make her look like the victim and turning people against one another with her lies. I guess it just really worries us having her around our son at all and we wonder if we're doing the right thing by him by letting her be involved when we know how cruel she can be. Has anyone been in a similar situation? I guess i'm getting anxious as there is an impending visit coming up (we've moved states which has helped tremendously). Thanks heaps for listening (well reading anyhow! lol)

I have the same prob with my MIL.
Very evil, nasty, manipulative and just horrible!
I posted a post in the same section if you want to have a read.
I know what you're going through! We don't see my MIL at the moment.

Wow! I had the same sort of problem with my MIL (to be). Silly me let her walk all over me in order to keep the paece. The one time i mentioned something to my fiance things went sour and our relationship and wedding was off 2 days later!

I guess what i'm trying to say is i'm probly not the best one for giving advice here but be strong and stand your ground. Don't accept the excuse of "oh thats just mum. She doesn't mean it"

Thanks Angel Baby, Natalie and Bubblebelly for your kind words and comments!!! always good to know you're not the only one. Please tell me Bubblebelly that you and your partner are back together again and your MIL2B didnt completely stuff things. Silly us too let MIL walk all over us until I got pregnant and thought 'uh oh - this can not go on like this anymore'. Its exhausting though standing up to these types of personalities isn't it. Very manipulative.
