Are u a believer for waiting for 1st Dec

Just wondering how many out there, wait until the 1st of December to put there :tree: up???

My mother is scottish, so she is a strong believer in waiting, where as the last three years i have had mine up before the end of nov... What is everyone else like??

Sometimes the 1st or the first weekend in December - this year after my sisters wedding (which is on the 2nd :D)- the only problem where to put it :detective:

We put ours up yesterday! We normally do it mid November, I just feel the 1st only gives you a short while to enjoy the tree! and they are soooo pretty :tree:

i didnt realise there was actually a rule that says when you can put your tree up. we'll be putting ours up whenever we both get off our rear ends and go buy one....lol...i've got the decorations. just need the tree.

i think i am goin to break away from the traditional and buy a fibre optic tree this year. no dangly cords for DS to pull down and fibre optic light doesnt give off heat so DS cant burn himself by touvhing the lights.

has anyone seen the upside down trees at kmart? quite funny looking things.

I don't care so much when they go up, but there is a definite rule that the decos must all be taken down on Jan 6th (12 days of Christmas & all!)

I get upset when everyone around us starts taking them down earlier!!

I'll probably wait a bit longer this year to put mine up though - DD is at the age where she is going to want to pull them down all the time! And it's exhausting work chasing after her being nearly 6m PG!!

It's usually the first Sunday in December as that's when we're home together and have more time! It will be 3rd December this year!

Ours always goes up on the 1st Dec and down on the 1st of Jan. I would love to put it up earlier, but the wait makes it exciting.

I am embarrassed to say ours has already been up for 6 WEEKS!!! Am thoroughly regretting it now though, my DD keeps tipping the tree over by pulling the tinsel and my DS keeps trying to eat the pretty christmas balls.

So from now on, Dec 1 it is!! I got waaayy too excited this year.....:reindeer:

Yes I put it up around a week before Christmas, I get bored this year probably won't have one as we're going away :D
