but my DD was diagnosed with Paediatric Dermatitis.
Its sort of like a bacterial skin infection thing and she's come out in rashes/bumpy blister looking things.
She's tried soooo many creams etc but nothing works!
Should I get a referal for the paediatric dermatologist at the mater? ive seen 3 differant Dr's and still nothing!
Its getting stressful and poor DD is scratching like mad!

Hi Mixi-Mama,
So sad to hear about your DD. My DS was diagnosed with severe eczema from 10wks of age. Now he only flares up in the heat and when he is teething and has a temperature. I tried every cream you can get. I would see a dermatologist, it can't hurt. Poor kids it is so hard to see and hear them scratching. I have only taken my DS (19mnths) out of a sleep suit due to itching. I find that a cream called DERMEZE (comes in a big tub) is great to rub all over, very greasy!

Sounds like what I have and if it is, I found the most success with a cream called elocon (prescribed). Also keep an eye out for triggers. Anything containing soap sets mine off. Even bubble bath, shampoo + conditioner etc.

We have been trying many things for 3yo with eczema. Can anyone tell me a good paediatric dermatologist in Brisbane or the Gold Coast? We are from the bush and we are desperate for help. we know we will have to wait a while but we need to get things rolling.
