A weird dream

I had this weird dream last night that a woman from here contacted me asking if my dh was willing to donate sperm she would be willing to donate eggs to us. Hmmmmmmmm does anyone else think this idea could work?:idea:

hi yes it is a good :idea: but be careful this has a ready happen to me and dh i had a woman who was gay and she agred to be my donor in return that my dh donor his sperm to her so were ready to meet and she did'nt turn up so that was dissppionting all i could do was cry in the middle of the shopping centre i felt like a real d..k head after woulds :hugs: xxx jo

Yep I know hun. We get many dissapointments before we get to the right angel. I have had two 19 year olds come forward about donating but they had no idea what was involved and when they found out they dissapeared. I would never jump in until I was certain. It was such a weird dream but then I have many of them lol.

it has been suggested before by single women looking to conceive. That would make the children full siblings whihc is another issue to consider but not unlike those using donor embryos.

In the Uk, women have the advantage of egg sharing - sharing the eggs from a donor between 2 women - something we dont do here. Also, they have also started listing ads for couples to exchange eggs/sperm to each other with whatever the other needs.

eg: couple one - donates sperm to couple number 2 who need it, and in return couple number 2 donate eggs back to couple number one!

Could be messy if the donation of any kind doesnt work for one of the couples.

It would be great if it worked out for both couples but if it didn't it would be so painful.
A long time ago a friend and I thought about, me offering to be her surrogate and her offering me eggs and it was great in theory,but what we quickly realized is that we were both so emotionally fragile from our years of IF that we just weren't strong enough to cope if it didn't work for both of us.

You can donate eggs to two women.
If one couple have low sperm and no eggs and the other couple have good sperm and no eggs and a donor is willing it can be done.
It just means that all involved need to be of the understanding of what is going on.
ie one couple will have the DH DNA and donors DNA and the other couple will have no DNA from either parent. Financially it can be complicated though.
Confusing but doable.
