Can anyone give me some recipes for easy tasty sort of healthy party food? Things that adults and kids will like just the same?
The party is for my DD's 4th bday in 2 weeks.

The sort of things I normally do are mini pizzas, pikelets with jam and butter, choc dipped strawberries, a fruit and cheese plate, twiggy sticks, bread stick with vegemite. I will also sometimes do cheerios and sausage rolls (I don't do home made ones). I always put a plate of plain chips out and a natural food company pack of snakes. I don't overdo the lollies.
Good luck with your party I am planning an 8yo boys party atm.

filo pastry trinagles with various fillings:
ricotta and spinach (kids do still eat it - trust me)
bacon mushroom and cheddar cheese
savoury mince and cheddar cheese
Vege sticks and dip, cob loaf dip and bread, puff pastry sausage rolls (cheerios wrapped in sauce/mustard smothered puff pastry and baked),
mini dagwood dogs - cheerios on skeweres dipped in batter and deep fried.

I did for my DS1 this year vegemite sandwhiches with a difference, i put vegemite on bread, cut the crust off then got cutters and cut shapes, they worked a treat with both adults and the kiddies. I also did Cheese twists these are made with a sheet of pasty cut in half, on one side you put tomato sauce and cheese, put the other half on top, Flatten them and cut them into strips, put them on a tray, with a pastry brush you paste them with milk and then put in the oven. So easy and so yummy

We just had dd's 1st birthday party and we made some fruit kebabs (fruit on skewers) very colourfull watermelon, kiwifruit, oranges, rockmelon, honeymelon, and up the top we put some strawberrys. And you can prepare those aerlier as that kinda fruit stays nice looking (like you know how some fruit like apples goes brown after a while). anyway they looked great all day. And we used pinapple cut into half and put on the platter and than stuck all the scewers in it. and we bought some of those sparkly thingies to decorate them and put them in. I just wanted something that looked great and that people had a healthy option because we had alot of junk food too
And also cherios in those little dinner rolls (small rolls) they turn out like mini hotdogs:thumbsup:
