In August our mothers group hosted a Toys@Home party. A number of us (incl. me) ordered toys for christmas.

In September our mothers group member who arranged the party contacted the Toys@Home hostess to find out where our orders where. We were informed they were being held up due to a non-payment by one of us - being me. Our mothers group member informed them I had paid by credit card (I checked my records and nothing had been deducted by them). So they called to get my credit card number AGAIN. Apparently, they had the wrong number.

Then in October I was contacted yet AGAIN for my credit card number as it had not worked. And AGAIN tney had taken the wrong number. (How this took a number of weeks to work out I do not know).

Then our mothers group member followed up with them again in November to find out where our orders are. They said that they had been delivered to our mothers group member via courier. Our mothers group member said they had not been received. They TOLD her to check with the courier as it was out of their control!?!?! So she contacted the courier (I believe toys@home should've done that) and the courier looked into it and said they had received it but it should've been delivered. To which the MG member replied no they have not.

So now the courier is looking for our orders (total over $250).

Now I ask, should the orders not be found - who is responsible for providing us with a refund?? And please take this as a warning when dealing with Toys@Home.

I know not all encounters with toys@home are like this but this has left me very bitter!!!

Will my darling get her christmas present?!?!

Toys@home should have insurance on these kind of things, relying on a signature for delivery.

I think it is slack and unprofessional and very worrying that they did not contact you sooner about credit card details - and they had to ask again and again. Suss to me.

I think the company should be responsible. They have hired the courier service to deliver the goods, if the courier service have not recieved them from the company then it is the company's fault. Although if the courier service DID recieve the orders and now they have gone 'missing' it is the couriers fault. All items must be signed for and obviously if they say they have been delievered then they would not have a signature for the order.

I would be steaming if I were you! I'd contact the company and tell them it is THEIR duty to contact the courier and sort out the mess.

Good luck!:fingerscrossed:

Toys@Home are responsible. If they order is lost for good, it is their responsibility to make the claim against the courier company, not yours. I would tell them that if they can't provide you with a POD (proof of delivery) that you want a full refund or a new order within 7 days.

More to add to the vent!

Found out they had charged me twice on my credit card - 3 days apart!!! And then they told me they'd call me back after I called them on Monday to tell them to chase up with the Courier. They said they'd call back yesterday - still no call back.

Plus we've found that they tell us a different story each time we ring.

I'll be asking for the interest I paid on my credit card for the mistake they made - and they can either make up for that in cash or product cause that is not on!!!
