What is a polite way to say “Not in a million years would I ever let you hold my baby”? I have a BBQ on Sunday and there are people who will be there who I don’t want to hold my 9 week old. Help!

Why don't you or dh just keep your baby in a carrier or a sling then you will be the only ones to hold your baby and people won't try as it will be too disruptive to get a happy bub out of a carrier. Hope that helps :)

Easterlily''s idea is spot on. We use BabyBjorn not only to carry lil Thomas, BUT also to protect him from "strangers" he he...
This is the most polite and effective way to do it. I remember when Thomas was around that age, I was sooooo overprotective with him, I even asked my husband to wash his hands first before giving his own son cuddles! LOL

We didnt go to any functions until Thomas was around 4 months old, except for family functions, to avoid him being passed around by strangers! :o

Good Luck :)

I agree with the others - bubby sling or baby bjorn would probably be best. Also allows bub to snuggle in when things get a bit "overstimulating" with all the news faces etc

I always said I'm about to feed or we are putting her to sleep. There is nothing worse then turning around to see your babe inthe arms of someone you barely know!!

My sil just flat out says no!! This works very well
