Bub not sitting up properly??

Hi my bub is 7 months and he has started to sit up in the last month. When he sits up he leans forward and doesnt straighten his back, is that normal? He also falls over when he does sit up straight. Should i be worried or am i going crazy? :confused: Anyone's responses would be much appreciated.

My little one does the exact same thing... I was told they are just trying to work out their balance, and its probably a bit scary for them to be sitting up considering they have spent their life lying down. I wouldn't worry about it, when he's confident and has his balance soughted he'll sit up!

Don't worry jaydensmum, when your son is good and ready he will do it!

Thomas used to be like that, and he can sits on his own unsupported now :D

Thanks for your replies, i was just worried that there was something wrong with his back, i know that sounds stupid! :o

My bubs does the same, I think he just leans forward so he can use his arms to hold him up till his back is strong enough to do the job and until he learns to keep his balance.
