**mine** that horrible word!!

Ok my dd 20mnths has been saying mine for the last 2mnths, at everything she thinks is hers!!! Normal but over the last few naps and last night she wakes up and screams **mine** a few times its happened while i've been sleepin right there and she is asleep then she just screams mine!!!

1. If I like it, it's mine.

2. If it's in my hand, it's mine.

3. If I can take it from you, it's mine.

4. If I had it a little while ago, it's mine.

5. If it's mine, it must never appear to be yours in any way.

6. If I'm doing or building something, all the pieces are mine.

7. If it looks just like mine, it's mine.

8. If I think it's mine, it's mine.

hey angelbaby8, sorry, but you cracked me up with your DD screaming out 'mine' while she is asleep! :D

She sounds just like my DD, I even bought her a tshirt with the 'toddler rules' about everything being hers. It gives people a laugh anyway!

DD is 2 1/2 and the 'mine' thing really doesn't seem to be abating at all. I think we just have to put up with it, hopefully (but I doubt it) by the time they are grown up they will be over it!
