Yes this is silly but i need support :p
DH, MJ & I are going away for 3 days for our second wedding anniversary :smiliedance: & i've taken the plunge & am NOT buying disgustables. I'm being a good girl & taking my stash of Greens with me :yelclap:
Does anyone else use cloth whilst away with no washing machine? Tell me i'm not crazy & am doing the right thing.
Ive done it:yes: youre not crazy and youre doing the right thing:D its really no hassle at all
As long as you have enough, you will be fine! I went away for 2 days and only have enough for that period! I felt so proud at myself for doing it and it was just as easy as sposies!! Good Luck and enjoy your break away!
We're going away too and as much as I would love to take my cloth I don't have enough and we have to take all our own food, sheets, towels etc. so I've bought a pack of disgustables. I hated doing it and can't wait to build my stash up a bit more so I never have to buy disgustables again.

You will be fine!! Just make sure your wet bag is big enough :p If worst comes to worst you can just go to a laundromat  Good lUck :D
I did it just over a week ago. We went for 2 nights and I took plenty but still washed to make sure we would have enough for the trip back. I was going to buy sposies if we had to but luckily it didn't come to that. Easier to wash than buy!
You can do it! :hugs: And have fun. Enjoy your holiday.
You're not crazy, you're doing the right thing, it will be fine!!!
Not that I have done it, mind you, but I wouldn't even think about buying disposables, lol... just think, in the past, that's all people could do! (Okay, maybe that's not helping!..)
Have fun!!!!!

Precisely what I was going to say...and "back then", they didn't have the joy of using MCN's - no hemp, no bamboo, only terry flats!
I don't know if I could do it though - unless I needed to do a couple of loads of washing while I was away, I don't know if I'd bother - I wouldn't want to spend any of my precious holiday time washing...
*ducks head and runs out of room to avoid rotten tomatoes being thrown at her by the cloth mamas*
More power to you for doing it though - you'll be fine!
Sure you can Rainbowbrite:yelclap:
We were away for a week, and although we did have a washing machine, all I did was chuck them in a plastic bag until I had to do a load.
Seeing as you're only going away for 3 days I'm sure you'll be able to survive no washing........you'll just have a humungus load to do when you get home;)
It feels so good to not buy disgustables even though it would be a bit easier while away (you know, because you don't have to worry about running out or storing them for washing).

We went away for a week earlier in the year and took cloth along. Admittedly there was a washing machine in the unit but I'm sure a bit of rinsing will suffice until you get home. A friend of mine made me another wet bag recently out of fleece. It is really thick and you can't smeel any dirty nappies unless you put it right up to your face. Maybe a fleece bag is an option for you?

I dont have a wet bag :gloomy: but i am taking a nappy bucket with lid. I made DH clean it for me
Well I have just enough GK to last, & my friend gave me 2 disgustables just in case. There is no way i'd do it with flats though
Thanks for all the supprt ladies, we're off very soon & yes Allyoo, i'll try to post pics
