Huggies Newborn Nappies

Has anyone had any leakage problems with the Huggies Newborn Nappies?
DS is only 13 days old and is quite small. The nappies fit okay but I find the panel in the centre that absorbs the mess does not seem to be wide enough and sometimes the mess leaks out past the elastic leg bands.

Does anyone else have the same problem as I am thinking of writing to them about this?

yep they leaked all the time so did the babylove. it wasnt just newbown ones either.

Nope. Only used Huggies with DS and the only time we had a leak was if we hadn't put the nappy on quite properly/not done it firm enough.

Haven't had any leaks at all with DD.

How big is your bub? Perhaps he's just too big for the newborn size and needs the infants. It's quite common.

Also, do you make sure you point his penis down when you put his nappy on?

It took DH and I a good week of changing nappy brands, putting the nappy on firmer and constantly changing bubs wet outfits to realise that the problem was a simple as pointing the penis down. Oops.

Yep they've leaked on us a few times, make sure that you're doing them up tight enough and point his pee pee downwards before you do up the nappy....

Funnily enough we are having the most success with Snugglers at the moment. They used to always leak on DD and I swore I'd never use them again but someone gave us a pack for DS and they're working really well on him :confused:

Sometimes you need to try a few different brands as well.

My huggies leaked all the time DH wont put one on bub..
We get baby love and you can get them from Bug W in a big box heaps cheaper than huggies...

Baby love are smaller to so if your bub isn't big give them a try..
