Morning all!

Has anyone had people coming up to them to say sorry about your m/c and you thought that they didn't know??

Just found out yesterday that everyone that I work with know and they are the last people I want knowing my business. Only my manager and the director knew and then all of a sudden it is the hot topic at my work! I am soooo mad as dh and I haven't told a lot of people, just a couple of friends and our parents, and the I have some person at work who I hardly speak to and can not stand come up to me! Why can't people mind their own business! If I want to talk about it I should be the one to bring it up and not be approched about it!!

Sorry everyone, don't mean to to rant on and on but gee I am sooooo mad!   :banghead:

Sorry for your loss :( That's very sad and unfair :(

But about your boss - oh gosh, you have every RIGHT to be mad!!

Besides the obvious rudeness and social etiquette issues - if you informed your manager and the director at your place of employment, they should NOT be gossiping about it!! Even if they meant well, it is NOT ok. Perhaps you could have a word with them, just asking for their discretion as this is a PRIVATE matter and you feel as thought your right to privacy at work has been taken away.

:hugs: jac. I am so sorry for your loss.

I agree you have every right to be mad... this is a VERY personal time and the last thing you need is to be made to feel uncomfortable about it.

I guess they mean well, but your director etc have definitely crossed the line here. :shame: I would be letting them know in no uncertain terms how insensitive they have been.

:hugs: I hope you are getting thru this sad time ok.

Hi,
I had exactly the same thing happen to me. I was working when I started to bleed and only 2 people knew who are close friends at work. We had to tell the manager because my husband and I both work there and he needed to take me to the hospital. I thought that I could trust her with this information but was mistaken. I had an ultrasound the next day and our worst fears were confirmed, so we rang and explained that I wouldn't be in for a dew days, so she then walked around the whole store (about 20 people most I can't stand) and informed all of them what hed happened. Most of them said 'I didn't even know she was pregnant" - funny that because I didn't want them to know. I was just as angry. It makes it hard when these people that you know don't care are just staring at you all the time. I let it go but I shouldn't of - it's worth saying something.

It will be interesting to see what happens when I go into work tomorrow, I swear I will smack someone out if something is said!

Thanks for all the kind words :hugs:
