Im just wondering where to start!!
What nappies are you wanting to make?
nappiescovered is best if you want to make pockets.
I don't know how to sew nappies though I would like to make fitteds one day.

The terminology is pretty intimidating to begin with!
Read up about the different types: pocket, AIO, fitteds and accessories at www.allaboutnappies.com
Do you live in a cold area without a dryer? Pocket nappies dry fast and you can stuff them with different absorbant inserts. Don't need a cover. Cool patterns and colours. Some of the girls here make their own. I mainly use pockets stuffed with my old flannellette flat nappies, folded up, for economy (already have heaps of them).
Do you prefer natural fibres and don't mind using seperate covers? Fitted nappies from bamboo and hemp are great- mine come from Baby Beehinds. There are some funky covers available too and hemp/bamboo are very absorbant, much more so then cotton.
It's really up to you! Have fun nappy shopping, whether for fabrics for your own pockets or the finished product! :D :D
These links will probably be a good starting point for you:

Maybe you could buy a pocket or two from a couple of different places online, try them out, and then start making them once you know how they work? And what style you like best? Sorry, I'm not much help!
