that was dd 2's temp last night:eek:
after trying to get it down........i took her to the hospital....she's fine today, but have to take her to the doctors to check.

they couldnt find any reason why it was so high.
i was scared she was going to start fitting, poor bub was shaking and her feet were ice cold:(

anyway i had trouble getting her to take panadol....do you have a trick?:wizard:

which panadol do you use BJ? cos the baby one is feral:barf:
we now use the one to five stuff(cos both kids are over 1 lol) and get the strawberry flavour, and mix it with a bit of apple and blackcurrant juice:yes: (covers the taste of panadol) thats the ONLY thing DD will drink it with she wont take it off a spooon, a lil cup, a syringe, she vomits it straight away if you try to force it into her mouth.
she recognises it in other juices etc(the baby one is alot stronger tasting) so we put it in a sippy cup with the juice and she drinks it (shake well)

Ry will bring panadol straight back up again so we use nurofen.

When he was little, I'd mix it with a thick juice (like the juice that comes in the can with sliced peaches) and feed it to him with a few spoonfuls. Now that he is older, he is happy to suck on the nurofen plunger.

He went just above 40 once - it's so scary isn't it?:hugs:

Poor little thing :hugs:...I use Ribena to get rid of the taste...my littl one had high temps when he was teething....this was the only way he would take it without a fight....

Hope she gets better...

:hugs: for you and your little one. I know exactly how you feel as Bug has being throwing those kind of temps for the past 36 hours now and they cant find anything wrong and tell me its just a virus and to watch her. I hope she gets better for you today!

hey there, we are having the same issues here too, 39.4 after paracetamol.
I find DS brings baby panadol straight back up and wont even let me near him with it, so I tried Dymadon orange flavour and he keeps it down and even sits there with his mouth open.

This happened to us the other nite. Boof had a raging temp for no reason, it's weird isn't it :confused:
Boof hates panadol so when we need it we get the Chemists own brand because it tastes better that cherry stuff is disgusting !!!! Boof prefers Neurofen though so thats what we use nowadays !
