Too close to Christmas?

I am thinking about having my Baby shower on the 20th of Jan 2007...

Is this too close to Chrissy?:rolleyes:

Feb weekends seem to be filled with things - one is valentines weekend and one is a weekend where my mum and dad are going away.

Any opinions would be great!:hugs: :yelclap:

I don't think so, unless some people are going away for the hols, that would be my only concern.
We had our wedding the day after Boxing Day...figured everyone would be over their food/drink hangovers from Christmas, sick to death of sitting around eating left over turkey so why not come to a wedding, have a few drinks, let your hair down and recuperate in time for New Year...beautiful! ;)

I don't think its to close to chrissy. I'm having mine at the end of November due to our weekends in December are pretty full and also just in case i go early.

No that should be fine. We are having ours 26th November which is close to christmas. I was concerned about it but I already have about 40 people coming! (ours is joint guys and girls). At the end of the day people will spend what they want to on a present or just avoid coming. I was very surprised at the response I got. So I would say go for it :)

I had my baby shower on the 9th December (I think!!) No one thought it was to close to christmas...it was very hot tho!

Mine is for the 14th of Jan. So far only one person cant make it and thats bc its her son's bday, no one else has said anything bout it being close to chrissy!

thats true huh? i never had one when pregnant with DS and probably wont for this pregnancy. the only way i can have one if i organise it myself but thats silly.

It's not too close. I had a baby shower for DS1 2 weeks before Christmas as he was due on 10 January!

Think of it this way Christmas will come around every year and go every at the same time. Being pg is something that will only happen as many times as you want it
