Jack is doing well. He slept for almost the whole weekend. but the past couple of days he seems to be asleep during the day and wide awake at night.

I've PM everyone regarding another meet. Have a think about it and get back to me with your thoughts. I was thinking next week sometime if thats enough notice for everyone.

Yeah Anna's kinder is going really good, she starts 2 days a week next year and that puts a nice $300 hole in our pocket. Thats just for 10 weeks. But she will really benifit from it so it really doesn't bother me.

I am so jealous you get that cake!! i so want to come but we have races that day and i will be at the race track at that time. Let me know though if you have another party, though.

I am having surgery on Monday (just gay day surgery for nothing exciting at all) so depending on what day you have the meet it should be okay with me.

Hopefully Jack gets back to sleeping during the night. Do they have sleep programs up here, where you can go for a day or 3days and they help to get you baby into a sleep routine etc?

Hey girls

I'm still here!!.. just been a lil busy, sounds like everyone else has been really busy too..

We are all pretty good.. James has a cough though and was teething last week, he has about 12 teeth now!! (from what i can see anyways, he wont let me near his mouth and if i stick my finger in i'll get it bitten off..) he started daycare at the start of the month for 2 days a week, thats going really well too, he loves it.. its the same daycare Angel went to, they are excellent.. from the few days he's been there i have notice a change in him.. he loves playing with the other kids..

Angel is going really well at school, she reads very well for her age so I'm really happy about that.. the school year is almost over and she will be in grade one next year :eek:

I havn't had a chance to do anymore scrapbooking (havn't finished what i started at the workshop!) due to the lack of space we have in our home.. but we are getting a decent sized shed sometime next year and DH is going to make me a scrapbooking workbench, and an area for the kids too..

I'll have to get back to you about that party kyles, i'm interested but have to run it by DH..

Leigh, James goes to daycare thursdays and fridays, and i have something on, on Monday too..

My wedding Band matches really well with my engagement ring i think its made by Peter W Berg? (i think!! the jewllers have display stock and you order it from a catalogue, they have a HUGE range) it has white gold on the outer edge and yellow gold in the middle.. we were able to get 20% off our wedding bands with a voucher i scored at the Wedding Expo a few years back, so that saved us a few hundred dollars.. I think the Gold and Diamond Factory makes rings but im not usre weather its just for engagement rings or if they do wedding bands too..

Well i think ive blabbed on enough!! I'm going to try and have tomorrow all to myself.. im getting my hair cut and finally going to get my brows waxed before i turn into a gorilla!! :o

Hi everyone how are we all haven't wrote in ages.

Been busy going to sell the house so been getting it nice and clean.

Kaleb is going great started him on solids last week and he loves the farax not to keen on apple but loves pear. Having trouble with him in the car seat the the moment he won't sit back he like to sit up in it now but he is only 7.8kg so can't change it the other way yet. Yesterday he fell asleep sitting up in it and slumped out over the side of it who know's what do to with the boy.

Hope Jack is sleeping at night for you now leigh.
Hope Bethany starts to like her solids and her teeth come soon.

I have a gorgeous almost 8 month old daughter. I agree with you when u say the best things come in small packages Bethany was born 10 weeks premature. So she should be 5 1/2 months.She is doing well.

Leigh - how are you? How is Jack going? Bethany did that stayed awake at night and slept during day so i kept her awake as much as i could one day and since that she has been good. Hopefully he will start to sleep through the night.
Liz - how are u feeling after ur surgery? Hope Anna and Cohen are both good? How are ur wedding plans going? We have had to put our wedding off for six months due to Evan being away with work so we are now looking at 22nd September 2007. It is good gives me more time to organise and more time to save.
Rebecca - Glad to hear Angel and James are well! Good that daycare is going well for James too!
Sha - Hope all goes well with ur house selling when it goes on market.

Howdy All,

Hi Hydz - i have seen you on a few other websites (EB and Huggies).
I am Liz anyway 20 (turning 21 in like 2 and abit weeks), i have a fiance who is 24 and is a jockey. We are getting married on the 18th of August 2007, we have been together for 5 1/2 years now and have 2 beautiful kiddies, Anna who is almost 3 1/2 years old and Cohen who is 7 1/2 months old. We will be here for roughly 18months. Oh and we live Leanyer, we have been here for almost 5 months we come from Melbourne

Kylie - yeah my surgery was all good, not the 3 hr wait though. Anna and Cohen are both really good. Cohen has learnt how to climb up our stairs whih is scary, have to find one of those stair gaurd/gate thingys.
Our wedding plans are going good but i have had to stop planning cause i can't plan anything til closer to the day, so i am just focusing on invites and accomodation for like 50 people.
Sounds like the extra 6 months will come in handy. What do you have to organsie still?

Rebecca - Glad everything is good your way. I did start getting into scrapbooking before we moved up here, but i don't really get the time by my self anymore.

Sha - glad Kaleb's solids are all going good, and him sitting up is awesome.

Leigh - What gym do you go too? I am still trying to find one i like, but i did have to stop looking til after i had my surgery, but i am looking into Curves or that beach house or whatever it is called gym, i want somthing that isn't far from me and both of them are at Cas.
I am going shopping for all new gym gear as nothing fits my **** anymore.

I am all good for a meet aswell, just let me know when and where.

Oh, what a lovely time to get married, I was born in August so yeah, it’s my favourite month! It looks like the year for weddings next year, how exciting! Congrats girls!

Yep my names Heidi but pretty much all through my life I’ve been called ‘hydz’ from family and friends! If my mum was ever not happy with me she’d call me Heidi so it’s a name I’m not too fond of if you get me?

Yesterday though he had an off day for some god knows reason?
He is pretty much always such a happy baby and so many people comment on how good and quiet he is when we’re out (I’m such a proud mumma), I feel so blessed, he goes down at 8:30-9:30 and sleeps through the whole night and I have to be a ‘meanie’ and wake him up at 7:30 every morning or he’d sleep in too long.
He’s been doing this for the last 3 months once I finally realised that his night time baths weren’t settling for him, as there suppose to be, he loves his baths so much that he’d still be too hyped up afterwards to try to calm down to sleep so that’s a morning thing now! :smiliedance:
He has a tooth through up the back/top/right hand side and his front/top/left tooth has been bobbing up and down for the last 2 weeks now unsure of what its meant to do I think! Hee heee…..
My man use to be in 1st armoured on tanks as a driver and gunner sometimes, loving destroying anything he could in them, but he decided to change core while we were trying to conceive so he could spend more time with me and any future bubbas (he spoils me, god love him) and straight after his course down south for a while we fell pregnant (YAY) and he now works in CSSB as a pay clerk and he hardly ever goes away anymore, its fantastic I tell ya!
I was born in Launceston and moved up to Cairns when I was 6 (parents split up) ,lived on a boat along the North Queensland Coast for 2 years doing correspondence (years 6 and 7) with Port Douglas being our base, then went to boarding school for high school years in Charters Towers and then got married in Cairns and divorced 5 years later and met my wonderfull man Im with now just over 3 years ago…
So I guess you could say Im a Queenslander!
There ya go, theres my life in a nut shell!

Bethany is well very cheeky and vocal it is cute. She loves her solids now she holds her mouth open ready for next monthful.(Mummy and Daddy are always too slow) Bethany will not take a bar of Farex either she hold her tongue out and goes ahhhhhh!! cute but not good!!
Evan is in 8/12 at Robo Barracks he is in the Q store. Thats about all i know lol!!

I hardly post in here anymore, doesn't seem like anyone does. I keep forgetting to come in here.

Hydz - Both of those gyms are right near Casuraina, they are both on the same block part as Casuarina, if that makes sense.
Yeah my partner did ok on the horses he rode on Friday, 2 2nds and something else (i forgot lol). Hopefully he goes better this Saturday.

Yeah we are going good with the heat, i didn't find it hot until Melbourne cup day. It hasn't been to bad for the last week or so though either.

lol Kylie, Cohen does the samething, i can never feed him quick enough.
I am not sure if my PM went through to you the other week Kylie, my computer was being stupid so i don't know if it went through or not hopefully it did but anyway.

Hi i haven't been on much either lately had a lot on my mind have a bit of a health scare which i'm waiting for more tests and results on then fly out for a week tomorrow night.

Kaleb at first didn't want farax either but I make it thicker now and he loves it and I mix pear and pumkin into it as on it's own the others are too runny he only likes thick foods. Hope Zack starts to like his food.

Kylie I put that money into your account on Monday so can you let me know if you got it that would be great.

Hello and welcome Hydz, sorry its a little late! we are in the palmerston area too.. Hubby used to be in the army but left in April last year and now he's in the NT Police..

I come in here and check every couple of days or so and lately everytime I sit down to post something, something else seems to come up (ie kids etc) plus I have been feeling a little down in the dumps lately!

Hey Sha, hope everything is ok.. hope the tests results are good.. I think I saw you coming out of the hairdressers this afternoon.. but wasn't sure if it was you..

I'm really interested in scrapping but I just realised i simply dont have the space or the time!! hopefully i can go to another workshop or 2 soon..

We first started James on pureed pear and then moved onto Farex rice cereal, he took to it ok.. I did the same thing that Sha mentioned and mixed pear or apple with the Farex and James loved it.. I found that he did better on foods that were a little thicker.. and he still loves his porriage that way too!

Im free for a meet next week if it's still on? or how about having a little christmas party the following week on the 13th?

Hi everyone hope you are all well.
We went on a short holiday to Melbourne and Adelaide to see family the wether in Melbourne was great nice change from the heat but Adelaide was a bit hot. Kaleb travelled very well didn't hear a peep out of him on all 3 flights.
Nothing much exciting happening here Paul is on holidays for 4 weeks so that is great had our first open inspection on Sun and one lady wants to come back during the week which is good.
Kaleb is going good had his injections today and he is not happy he was alright after all the others but this time they are hurting him more thank god Paul's home. He loves his solids and can't get enough of them and not long till he will be crawling I think I have to keep him in a play pen cause he moves around way to fast and off his mat he hit his head on the tiles twice yesterday.

where to start. Liz hope Anna is enjoying kindy and hope Cohen is staying away from the stairs he must be a big boy now Kaleb weighs 8.3kg and is 6 months so not far off what Cohen was at 6 months. Has he got anymore teeth he will be up and walking before you know it.

Leigh how is little Jack going is he on solids yet? Hope he has his night sleeps under control.

Rebecca how is Angel bet she must be looking forward to school holidays are you going away at all and how is James going at day care?

Kylie hope you enjoy your trip to brisbane and that Bethany has a great first christmas.

Hydz how is Zack going haven't been on msn in a while. Hope he is great.

Glad your holiday went well Sha!! We are going to Melbourne at the end of January. It is my sister's 30th Birthday then so it will be good to go out with her for it.

Yeah Anna is enjoying Kinder, she had her last day for the year Yesterday, they had a little party it was good.
Cohen is staying away from the stairs now which is good. We are still waiting for his 3rd tooth to come through. He is now starting to stand up on his own.

Kaleb sounds like he is doing great!!

It is my Birthday today i am now offically 21!!
My race horse arrived last week, and he is beautiful and he knows it!! I will show every some pics of him, once i go and take pics of him.
Craig is starting to ride in Alice Springs now, the race track down there flys him down and pays for his accomodation aswell which is good, he starts riding there this Saturday.

Well i better go i have some things to do today.

Angel is good, last day of school tomorrow, don't know what i'm going to do with her for 6 weeks!! she thinks that school holidays means that we are going on a holiday.. :laughing: I WISH!! nope not this time.. DH is working most of Christmas day :thumbsdown: and all day New Years Day but has New Years Eve off so thats ok.. James is doing really well at daycare.. he loves it.. it's so good for him.. i have noticed a lot of changes in him, he has his Christmas party tomorrow.. and he had his first hair cut yesterday!! all those cute ringlets are gone.. it had to be done though, he looks like a little man now.. and he's not so sweaty at the back of his neck now.. it's all good..

MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!

I cant believe how crazy it is at the moment. THe past few weeks have been such a blur.

Basically - the short version - we are moving back to Brissy. Job offers have been flying around, and ultimately we've decided that we want Jack to have his grandparents close by!

So, i apologise for not being more active on the hub or with organising meets - removalists are hard to pin down this time of year :)

Sha - i hope all is well, i have been thinking of you since your pm.

And, hope everyones holiday/christmas plans are enjoyable.

Got my test results back today and all is ok I just have to get ultrasounds done every year to make sure everything stay's the same.

Well it's been hectic here under my roof with flu's and christmas lurking around the corner, it's just been a tad overwhelming and depression has knocked me a bit and with Matt having taken over the computer since he went on holidays and...and...and.......which is all my excuses for not coming in and sending my personals to you all for the last month, sorry, hope you understand, anyhows I thought I'd better come in and say to you all that I hope you had a lovely christmas and hope you all have a safe festive time, I've been thinking of you all and hope that in the new year I will be on here more once again with all of you lovely ladies!

How did everyone's christmas go?

Ours was good, except now we have no room at all, way too many toys!! I am trying to find some storage solutions to organise everything better.

We aren't doing anything for NYE, we have no babysitters here, and all our friends have no kids and are going out to parties, so we are staying home together.

Rebecca - we are all sick too, except Cohen he missed out on this flu thing that is going around. Hope you are feeling better now.

I like the change in the weather but now i am cold!! suppose it will help with the transition to melb weather when we go there.

HAPPY NEW YEAR EVERYONE!!
hope the year brings you good health and good fortune and lots of good luck!

We stayed home, had one of my sisters and her son over, we all stayed up till midnight including little Mr Wide awake.. too much excitement and a late arvo nap.. we lit up sparklers and popped poppers at midnight.. it was a good night.. only drank one and a half Smirnoff Blacks before midnight which was more than enough for me.. missed out on watching the fireworks on tv.. ahh well.. How was everyone's New Year Celebrations?

Christmas was good, James had fun unwrapping pressies, he got a TMX Elmo which is pretty cool! Angel got bored quickly coz all her toys were in their packaging and it took us a while trying to opend the damn things.. had my family over for lunch Christmas Day, we were able to have lunch before DH went to work.. then was basicly alone (just James and me) Christmas night, Angel went to sleep over at her cousins. It was a quiet night!

Had my best friend over from Brissy she brought an extra "friend" (the flu) with her so we all got sick, but we are all on the mend now, James got a chesty cough, it's much better now though.

Hasn't the rain been lovely!! I love it when it just rains, only rain, no lightning and no thunder.

Hydz I hope you're feeling much better, I know how you feel.. it's a bit like that in my household too.. especially with DH working shifts..

Liz I LOVE MELBOURNE, I hope it will be nice and cool for you (but not too cool), we went in June/July 06 it was bloomin COLD!! But I LOVED IT!! (once i got used to it)..

Hi how was everyone's Christmas and New Years?

Christmas was great Kaleb although he didn't know it was Christmas was very happy on the day and he got so many toys I know what you mean Liz about no room for them all trying to find places to shove them when we have open inspections.

For new years we were going to take Kaleb to the 9pm fireworks but I was raining out our way so we gave it a miss and had a early might bit sad I know.

Kaleb started to crawl yesterday :yelclap: so very proud of him for the last 3 weeks he had been really trying to and now he has started moving forward.

Hope everyones bubs are going well.
Leigh is Jack still going to have swimming lessons? when does he start was thinking of taking Kaleb but might wait till we move now.

Kylie hope you are enjoying your time in Brissy bet you don't want to come back.

Happy New Year everyone!!

We didn't do much at all, just went to Craig's boss' apartment which is in Nightcliff (across the road from the beach) and had a BBQ and some drinks it was ok, would have loved to have gone out but oh well, last time i went out for NYE was 2 years ago, ahh you get that. I will make up for it when we go back to Melbourne, it is one of my sister's 30th Birthday when we go back so i can't wait for that (no one knows we are coming so it will be a good surprise!!), and to have people i have no concerns about leaving my kiddies with.

WTG Kaleb!!!:smiliedance: Clever little man, and Sha i so don't envy you, i would hate having to try and find spots for toys for an open house!!

Hey everyone :)

Sounds like everyone had a good christmas and new years.

Jack had a ball - he too is well equiped to open his own toy store! As for storage, one of his grandmothers sent up a huge calico toy bag, which has been a great way of getting things of the way easily.

I've been slowly making my way down the long list of things to organise for the move - but there is so much stuff i cant do until the last couple of weeks.

I cant believe Kaleb is crawling - that is so exciting! I bet you have to watch him constantly now!

Jack is doing rolls from his back to his tummy, but hasnt quite mastered the 360 degree. And all his dark hair is falling out and he has blonde replacing it. The funny thing is that my hair has about 3cm of lighter growth too! Its so weird having regrowth when i havent dyed my hair for 7 years!

Thought i would check in quickly and see how everyone is doing?

We are all good, i found 2 more teeth in Cohen's mouth the other day so now he has 4 with a 5 on its way!!

I have a pretty busy next 3 weeks roughly, my sister, neice and nephew arrive here on Thursday night, which i am so excited about!! They are staying for a week.
My horse has his first trial Tuesday, which hopefully goes well.
A week after my sister goes home we fly down to Melb for a surprise visit, and don't come back til the 1st of Feb.

I am in the middle of really sorting out our house, we have lots of storage it is just all in the wrong places it is so annoying!!

Leigh - how is the moving plans going?

:wave: How's everyone been I stared work again this week to get some extra money to move with cause we will both be unemployed when we move. Kaleb is with mum n dad so i don't fel so bad leaving him. Work was ok I'm back working in the pregnancy and paeds clinic which is what I love and the view from the 8th floor over Darwin is great.

Kaleb is going well crawling fast he is now starting to pull himself up on the couch (he is growing to fast). No teeth yet I think one might be coming.

How are everyone's bub's going?

i envy all of you, i wish i could move back, was had an old friend down at christmas and he brought back some great memories. i went to st pauls primary school, i loved it up their and had asked DH if we can go up for holidays in dec and i think he is thinking about it :smiliedance: .
i have been told it has changed heaps, i have not been up for about 8 years :crying: .all i want to do is go to nightcliff watch the sun set, mindal (sp?) beach markets, and go to the park i played in when i was litttle (i lived in alawa bald crt and their was a park in the middle) i hope it is stil there.

HELLO to pip_d1983, yes Darwin has changed a bit, still got the laid back lifestyle though.. I used to live in Jingili when i was growing up, just accross the way to Alawa.. i havn't been down that way in ages as i live in Palmerston now but i'm pretty sure that park is still there..

we are all good here, just busy with school holidays and DH working.. James threw up a few times last night for some reason, he is ok now, just got a runny nose.. he does lots of cute and funny stuff now.. he sways his hips when he hears music and he hums/sings (as in da da da) twinkle twinkle and ol mcdonald and peek a boo.. I have been looking into going back to uni to do a certificate or 2.. so James will be going to full time childcare :crying: hopefully only till about 3pm Mon - Fri.

Leigh i hope things are coming along well with the move..

I would be up for a weekend meet, just let me know...

Hi All,

Just a quick message to say hi to everyone, and to hope everyone is doing good.
I will do a better reply in the next couple of days, when it is a little slower around my place. It has been so busy this last week just abit of a run down of what has been happening, my sister came up, and is leaving tonight, Craig got injured at the races on Saturday, and hasn't been able to work at all, my horse had a trial on Tuesday and did great, but another horse that Craig rides had to be put down as it broke its leg really bad in the trial, Anna dislocated her shoulder falling off the trampoline aswell. It has just been crazy this last week.

Anyway i would love to meet up again, but i can't do Australia day, as we have races that day, it will be the day my horse has its first race, hoping it goes well, and then we fly out to Melbourne at like 1am Saturday morning, so i am pretty flat out that day, so if there is a meet that day, i won't be able to make it sorry.

Well hope everyone is doing great, and will be do a better reply when i am not as tired.

Wow what a busy month but it all went well it was a good holiday but it is so good to be home too!!!

Bethany is army crawling everywhere and getting into everything she is so fast i have to keep my eye one her. She is very cheeky she loves the cords around the computer (the computer is going to be moved into another room) and she goes to grab them and i say no and she looks at me and smiles and keeps going!
She is also sitting on her own despite when she chucks a wobbly she throws herself backwards so we have to keep a pillow behind her.

Naomi - We haven't had much rain, well not in Leanyer anyway. I was expecting more rain then what we have gotten because it is the wet season, so i am abit dissappointed.

Well tomorrow our race horse (bullish master) has his first race which is exciting!! Hopefully he does well:fingerscrossed: Craig won't be riding him though, he is still off work because of his leg.
We are leaving for Melbourne tomorrow at like 1 am which is pretty exciting aswell.

Oh Naomi, do you know of any good hotels or anything in Alice Springs? We are most likely coming there in May for a month because of the racing carnival, and i just wanted to see what places are good. We have stayed in Alice before but we got there at like 8pm and then left at 6 am so we didn't really care where we stayed, so if you know of any places it would great if you could let me know.

Anyway i better go and get Anna to bed.

Happy Australia Day!!!

Its been so hot today! How was the heat in Alice Naomi?
We went to Lake Alexander for a BBQ with some friends, now we are lazying around in the Aircon.

We have pretty much everything packed, just some last minute items to go, and the computer :) I'll just be glad when its done and i dont have to think about it anymore.

Poor Jack is teething. He's got the two pointers on the top coming down, so when they are finaly through he'll look like dracular :laughing:

Anyway im going to go read my book while the two boys are sleeping. I'll try to log on at the library once or twice in the next few weeks say hi.

I've been here in Darwin for 19yrs now we moved up from Melbourne when i was five, so i guess i'm pretty much a local lol. I would very much like to meet some other mums with young children as i don't know many people with kids.

My partner is also in the defence but thats quite common here in Darwin i guess. We have to beautiful daughters, Madison who is 15mths and Kaylee 4wks. Still trying to get use to having two kids, it's hard but thats proberly because there so close in age.

If i saw you i proberly didn't relise it was you, in both my pregnacies i was always in such a daze had placenta brain bad.

Caitlin and i had a falling out a few years ago and only started talking again just before i had my first daughter. So she hasn't ever said anything about any problems the two of you might have had, sorry.

Yeah the girls are pretty close in age, Little Kaylee was a bit of a suprise. It has all worked out for the best for us anyway.

I will make this a quick update on us.

We got home this morning at about midnight, i have hardly slept and been getting in trouble with people i know for not saying hello today, so not with it today.

Our horse had his first race on Friday and WON!! That was exciting, and we have just been in Melbourne doing some family stuff etc.

Cohen now has 5 teeth and is WALKING!! :smiliedance:

Hey Everyone,

Wow Liz you must have a strong little bub there walking already. My daughter walked pretty early on as well she was about ten and half months.

Yeah getting some rest but being tired all the time is pretty much the norm now. It was so easy with Maddy because if i was up all night i knew i could just sleep the next day when she slept. Now that there are two i can't do that because i have to look after Maddy when Kaylee's sleeping throughout the day. It hasn't been that bad as Blake is home until mid march. He proberly has to go out bush maybe 2 or 3 times a year so that isn't bad.

Yeah we have a little 6 week old and she is doing great. The first few weeks were a bit hard with trying to adjust with two kiddies but each day is getting better and better. I've been lucky that my partner was able to take a few months off work to help look after the girls. He doesn't have to go back till mid march so i should be right by then.

What year did you finish yr 12? i finished in 2000. If you finished that year we might have known some of the same people.

Hey kylie my partner has just been re posted to 1CSSB from 2Cav. What about your partner? Are you guys in a defence house like the RAAF BASE or do have your own place? We are on the RAAF BASE which is ok for now but i really want to get our own place. The houses here are pretty standard. I here the housing out in Palmerston is really nice.

I did year 12 in 2000 I did though leave in oct and go back to Adelaide and did my exams there and then came back in mid 2001. I looked on school friends and I know a few names on it but i'm hopeless with names I need to put faces to them.

Carly house prices up here are so expensive we were looking at buying to get out of DHA but it is not worth it.
Yeah i am not impressed with this house old and everything is dodgy!!!
We have an ant issue also we have had the pest guy out to spray he is coming again coz it didnt help. They get in Bethanys cot have no idea how they get in she wakes up with about 10 bites on her apparently they are a big problem up here coz of the tropics. He is coming again today if it doesnt fix it i will ask to move!!

Hey Kylie,

We have a really bad ant problem too. Madisons always got bites on her. Thats pretty bad if they get into Bethany's cot, poor little thing. The wet season does make the ants worse but it also is these style of houses. No one else i know up here seems to have the same problem we have with ants. Thats why i was asking what the housing was like out in Palmerston because i want to move. I know that the house's in Palmerston are nice and new and there not up on stilts either. I hate having to go up and down the stairs a hundred times to bring the girls up and shopping ect.

Sorry i'm just fed up with this house, i'll leave it there.

Kylie, we have a problem with these little black ants they don't bite but there are bigger ones amongst them and they bite. I guess there like their soilder ants or something. I was going to call DHA today but just got a bit busy with the girls. I'm still going to try and see if we can get moved out to Palmerston though. Have the ants come back since your house got sprayed?

We recieved a bill today that was around $900 for 3 months, we are in total shock as it is so much higher then previous bills. When we called them they told us that there was nothing that they can do about it and the bill must be paid. They also said that we were not the only ones of late that had called to complain. So i was just curious if any of you have had any problems.

I'm thinking we should post phone the meet so every one can come, if they want too.

We got that bill on friday and after we had called the power place they informed us that they hadn't been sending all the invoices to us. We were only getting a bill every 2nd quarter. So we thought that the bills were for every 6 months. It has really effected us big time, on friday when we got the bill we were actually in the process of buying a new car which we really need. We signed all the paper work and we were going to pick up the car on monday. In the end we couldn't take the car because of the amount of these power bills. I was so upset because i have quite a small car and it is really hard with two kids, the car seats and the double pram that only just fits in the boot.:(

Carly our bill is about $700 for 3 months. The defence is meant to pay 80% of your bill in the wet season (well they did for us) check it out.

Carly the ant guy has been out twice and sprayed the whole yard and we still have little scout ants running around i wanna move but not sure if they will move us as there is not an infestation.

Our Elect bill was $380 and we used less air cons and were away for a month our usual bill is about $200 so i am stumped!!!

Can I ask what car you were getting DH and I both have medium size cars and have trouble fitting in the pram and stuff I want a Ford Terrotory but I don't have a spare $40,000 so I was thinking of getting a family wagon so everything fit's in it.

Kylie- we handed in our letter requesting to be moved yesterday, still waiting to hear back will call tomorrow. I would just put a request in anyways, if they don't think it's a vaild reason they just won't pay for the move but you can alway hire a truck from somewhere. I use to work at hertz and they have special rates for defence. Thats what we are going to do if they don't pay for us. They will still put you in another house, if there are any available.

Sha- We nearly brought a 2003 BA falcon wagon it was really nice i'm still so upset that we couldn't get it. We both only have medium size cars too and we only just get the 2 car seats and double pram in them. I really really want a Ford Territory or Toyota Kluger they are my dream cars. I start working again next friday after about 2 years off so maybe i'll get one of them :fingerscrossed:.

Kasey- Where abouts in Melbourne are you? My whole family are from there and we go down every year to see them.

Caitlin- Did you ever end up getting anything from that website where i got my nappy bag? I ment to ask you today but forgot.

I have an AU Ford Falcon sedan and have found it excellent, we fit 2 car seats in no probs and considering we have a gas tank in our boot we can fit alot of stuff in ours, we can usually get a pram, a big suit case, Craig's saddle bag, the nappy bag and toys in it.
We are looking at getting a new car soon i think we will be getting some type of 4wd.

We just bought a 2004 BA falcon station wagon it is awesome.It has so much room (we did have a 2 door lancer b4 so we are noticing the extra room)
It is good coz i always forget to take pram out when i go grocery shopping and now it doesnt matter.

I already have Bethanys birthday presents from toy sale last year might just add some clothes.
Still have to organise family to come up and then organise a party.

I didn't see your post until now Kylie, otherwise i would have come!! I would have gone to Cas earlier then what i did, i went around 2pm and while we were there some alarm went off and then around kmart and coles, got all shut in, and security were running around everywhere! not sure what it was all over but very weird first time anything like that has happened, we had only came out of kmart about 10 mins before all that happened. Glad we weren't shut in.

No we called DHA every day last week but the lady we who is handling our request was never there to take our call. We are actually thinking about finding a place on our own and going through a real estate agent. It actually works out alot better because this way we can claim rent assistance from centrelink as well as getting rent allowance from DHA. Them two combine thay are paying more then half our rent for us.

I would just go into DHA and demand to speak to someone about the ants, they can't ignore it especially when they are biting Bethany.

Sorry it's been awhile since i've been on. I went back to work (2 days a week) last week and i have my MIL here so i've been a bit busy. How has everyone been?

I had to go and get Kaylee's two month needles today, i felt terrible because she was so happy giving us lots of smiles and not knowing what was about to happen to her. It's over now though and i guess it's better then her getting sick.

We had DHA come out and inspect our house the other day to see if we can move out or not. I really don't like our chance's the guy had an excuse for everything thing that we complained about. Apparently DHA won't let you move out if they don't think there is anything wrong with your house. I mean you can move but they won't give you rent assistance which is so unfair.

Hi Everyone,
How is Darwin? I miss it heaps. I thought being homesick went away, but its been 19 months and i miss it as much as i did when i moved. It still feels like we only moved a few months ago.
Strangely enough I miss Casuarina even though my local shopping centre is about 6 or more times the size! I never ever thought I could miss cas.
I miss the markets.
I miss ceiling fans and air con (people in syd are crazy!! no houses seem to have air con or fans even though it gets to over forty degrees).
I miss being able to go out anywhere and there is not a million other people doing the same thing.
I miss you carly!! I hate that we are so far away and don't get to bring up our girls together! Elora has been talking about Madison non stop for 3 days, she wants to go to the airport to see her. she even got out her suitcase and packed Madisons dummy that she left here in sept!

Sydney can be so borring and lonley even though its huge and has millions of people! I got bored in darwin, but never lonley! no matter where you go you always see people you know.

Hey Everyone

I miss you too Caitlin and i miss Elora and i just can't wait to meet Natalia. I here her through the phone everytime i talk to you and all i want to do is give her a big cuddle. You never know what might happen though, you may end up back here. We have decided that Darwin is where we want to stay. We want our kids to grow up and go to school here because it is quite a good place to grow up in. Elora is just too cute i wish Madison remembered her.

Sorry i haven't been on in a while i've had my MIL here. So i was busy getting told that i was doing something wrong with the girls or getting looks of disapproval. Anyways thats life, she's only comes up once or twice a year so i just live with it. Do any of you think it's weird that the last few times she's been here she hasn't brought a camera. She only see's the girls once or twice a year and she doesn't take any picture's of them. I just don't understand it, my mum lives up here and we see her all the time she takes pics of them nearly every second week.
