Just a quick question....
DS2 has had silent reflux since about 6 weeks old. We have had him on Karicare Sensicare HA-AR formula and he had been taking the 200mls at each feed but since trying him on a non AR formula he has started leaving 60mls....
Is this normal???
Why are you changing him to the non-AR formula? When DS was a bub we gave him AR formula (the S26 one) and the dr said to just give him that til we were ready to change to cows milk.
Sorry, I ave no idea if what your bub is doing is normal or not...maybe it tastes a bit different and he's gotta get used to that, or it could be that the normal formulas are not as thick as the AR ones...I really don't know...

We stopped G from AR about 2 weeks ago. he is on solids and it has seemed to taken care alot of the reflux.
He doesnt drink the full recommended amount either - but i dont stress as he is a big boy and impressive weight gain. He will only drink what he wants- you cant really forse any more...

Our paeditrician actually told me to try him on it last friday......
He has been taking it ok - no chucking, screaming, gagging etc - just has started to leave some that was all!

G is a happy chucker now, instead of the gagging and fits.
Maybe make him the smaller amount, and if he finishs that - then make up the last part and offer it.

I think I might start doing that.... particularly when I am also going to start introducing solids to him this weekend (gotta do the grocery shopping first!)
