Hope someone can help... We are moving at the end of january into a place where we can have a dog. My DH and I have always had pets but weve been living in a townhouse so werent allowed.

Dh really wants a puppy for Bailey and we have both had Cavaliers in our lifes.

Bailey loves my parents cavvys and we really want to get one for him. Does anyone know good breeders around the Gold Coast/ Brisbane/ Northern NSW area. I wanna start looking around now and find the good reputable breeders.

We have to cavaliers and just adore them. We found the 2 breeders we used on www.dogzonline.com.au. There is a breed section and they show which breeders have puppies or upcoming litters. I think they are also part of the breed association as well. Hope that helps.

We just called a few and asked a lot of questions. Also, the 2 breeders we bought from wanted to meet us to make sure we woudl provide the right care, which we found comforting.

KellyA- that is the same as my parents. When they got Candy (tricolour) they had to go and meet the breeder and prove they would be good owners. Then 6 weeks later they called the same breeder back and asked for a sister for candy and they got accepted straight away- they got a blenheim called Shona.

They are like my mums babies. Shona lies in mums arms like a baby. They know how to communicate to tell mum and dad what they want. They have a sofa bed in the garage set up in the corner like a bedroom. They are so spoiled.

They are kind and caring dogs. I want Bailey to have one, he loves candy and shona so much. Id love a Ruby for him!!

We have 2 cavaliers and they are the most gentle,loving and caring dogs...

I woul also recommend finding a breeder through dogzonline. We are very happy with our Cav (as you can see from my avatar!)

I love all of them but because my parents have a tri color and a belnheim and my MIL has a tri colour we want a Ruby!

They are such great natured dogs:yes:

The inlaws have Cavi's and omg they are the most placid, wonderful dogs.

My DD horsey rides them, grabs the ears, walks on the tail etc, sam just sits there and takes it all.

But I have never come across such greedy piggy dogs for food.

My MIL also has a staffy, and she said she would have another cav any time over any breed of dog.

We have 2 dogs now, but we have decided when they pass away (not for about another 10yrs!) we will be getting a cav.

We also want a cav for when we have grandkids because we just know how good they are.

Mikeswifey- Yep they are certainly a perfect family pet! Bailey has just taken a huge interest in mum and dads cavvys Candy and Shona- they dont care if he touches them at all. They are so placid around him. Of course I would never leave them alone with Bailey but I dont think they would ever harm him ( not intentionally anyway).

I have grown up with Cavis my entire life and they are the most beautiful, caring, loving dogs. Great around kids, so happy and placid. Go for it! I want another one. :p
