I was so sick of waiting to get my materials from yahoo user groups, that I just ordered it straight from Malden Mills. (took a week to arrive from the states).

I've got enough to make 48 nappies and with postage it ended up costing $2.91 per nappy cut!!

Also $2.80 per napy cut for PUL.
Snaps: about 50c per nappy.
Elastic about 20 cents per nappy.
Bamboo / cottom prefolds material about $4 per nappy.

In total for a complete pocket nappy about: $10.50

The Toad is ready to sew!!!!

(I got a couple of different types of fleece from MM,.. I think after looking at them, the best type are:
100 Microvelour and the Powerdry silk weight. Both quite thin. Should anyone else want to order some)

I don't know anything about prices for nappy fabrics, etc, but that sounds good to me!! Can't wait to see some of your creations!!

I think the value is better than just buying "nappy cut" sizes off some sites. I've seen them charge around $7 (plus postage)...

Can't wait to start making them!

Cool I was only on that site today. How many yards did you end up buying? if you don't mind me asking....
I made up an order of 7 yards, and it was going to cost with postage about $100 US dollars. Thought I'd wait to see how much I can get it per metre here first

you can also buy microfleece in nappy cuts, by the half metre (172cm wide) or by the metre (172 cm wide) at greenbeans (nz)

they've only got the microfleece, not the DWR for the outside
You got me excited there for a second

I've really got to stop reading the posts in this area  I've just ordered some 200 wt fleece from MM, and some hemp and other goodies from greenbeans. Thanks again ladies

Nice!!!!
Is that for a nappy outer (waterproof) ?

I might get some of that for night time nappies.

Yup  So I can make some more HBs. I went a bit overboard though I'll have nappies coming out my ears. They are so cute though it's good to have a variety

Are you looking at using these as your outer for your pocket nappies, because they aren't water resistant enough for that, unless you use 2 layers :) Just thought I'd let you know to just try one, before cutting into all that lucious MM fleece. You need 300wtDWR or Windpro for the best water resistance.

I've made some out of 200wt and they are leak proof

You just can get more compression leaks/wicking with any weight less, the 200wt and lower is better suited to a daytime AIO/pocket:) I love the 200wt, there are heaps more colours than the heavier weights. :)

Of course with any nappy, so long as you are sufficiently boosting and changing, most MM weights work :smiliedance:

Oh that makes sense. I do have some that are 300 wt too, but they are just that bit bulkier, still look great though. I haven't been game to try them at night yet though, but I didn't have any mirofibre till the other day
