Hi all,
My bub has developed over the last day or too a number of pimply type rash over his face - mainly his forehead. I have been told it is milk rash, and that it will clear up on its own.
Could anyone advise if this is ok to just leave? Should I be putting anything on them?
Thanks.

Hi,
Max used to get them all the time and all i did was when i bathed him ran the washer over them and it would help bring them to the surface and then in a day or two they would just disapeare. :o
Hi,
Both my kids had these, it is a bit unsightly but completely harmless and does not scar.
In my DS it started in his ear! and gradually spread all over his whole head, even in his hair. It lasted about a month and only cleared up about 2 weeks ago.
Its just because their digestion is still a bit immature and so they are not processing all the lovely fats they need from your great mummy milk.
It will gradually pass, there is not much you can do but keep the skin clean with water anything else will dry it out too much and then you could end up with other problems.
I found it didn't always show up in photos.
Hope it clears soon
take care
Monica

My little one had a really unsightly milk rash up until about 5 weeks of age. I freaked out as I wanted him to look like a little 'Huggies' baby and tried a few things to get rid of it.
The best advice though is to leave it as it will disappear on it's own.
He will be pinky smooth in no time ! :D
both my kiddies had them but we called them milk pimples.... they are nothing to worry about it may take some time but they will go away.

My DS had a milk rash when he was little. They were tossing up whether it was a milk rash or eczema. They told me to leave it and if it goes away its a milk rash. So i left it and it was a milk rash. I dont think anything will make it go away, it normally just clears up itself. :)
