Did you know your ex can call child support, say he now has another child and get his payments reduced but doesnt have to prove it??? :mad:

i have just received a letter from child support telling me that me dds bio has another child. this will not affect my child support as i only get $10 a month.:rolleyes: i called and asked about this because he is a liar and i find it hard to believe and they told me he doesnt have to prove it. WTF!!!! he was in the navy and then quit and isnt working then when they find out he is working he suddenly has another child!!!

So your child support can go down depending on how many imaginary dependants he has! and there is nothing you can do about it!:banghead:

I knew about this. Dh informs them when we have had a child. But get this, she has rang child support and told them that her 3rd child was from dh!? Yes he has one son with her but that is all! He rang them a nd cleared it up with them but what a nerve!

We found out about this after the event. We rang child support when I was pregnant to find out how to notify them. They said we had to do a change of assessment form (I hate those 40page forms).

After sending this in, they called and said DH had to have a conference with his ex to discuss changes, but did I know we could have just informed them over the phone about our son's birth?

Needless to say, when our daughter was born, we just rang them - no 40page form this time!
