I stopped working in march this year a month before DD was born, but from october last year I was only working 10hours a week.

Well I start work again tomorrow afternoon. Only 10hours a week, not much I know but I am REALLY REALLY nervous.:o

It seems like forever since I last had to go to work and am s*!t scared about it. I'm not just nervous about working its also that DF will be in charge of the afternoon nap, dinner, bath and bed for the 2 nights a week when I work.

He does a great job and is a great daddy. He is really looking forward to the time with DD but she is really clingy atm and I am sooo worried that she wont settle for him.

Aarrgh, just wanted to get it off my chest. Any advice would be much appreciated, in regards to how anyone made the transition back to work.

Not sure if I have any advise for you, but I started back at work for the Indy last year when my son was 4 months old, I was nervous that my mum would be taking over my role evn though it was only for the 4 days.......

This year I started working more frequently (for about 4 months now I think) and my son was clingy at first and didnt want to let me go, but soon settled into a routine.......

Sure your daughter will be sad at the start, but they will get into their own little routine, and she will be happy to see you in the morning.......

Maybe if you start letting your DF handle baths & bed now, so that she begin to get use to daddy doing it....

Goodluck, and you will be fine.......soon enough it will be like old times again at work, except now you have a beautiful daughter waiting to see you when you get home.....
