I need help! We have less than a month left before bub is due and we still have no idea what to call her. DH wants her to have my middle name, so she will be ______ Marguerite...the last name starts with M too, so we wanna avoid first names starting with M coz we would prefer not to give her the initials MMM :)
Can some of you wonderful bubhub ladies please give me some ideas? What are you favorite girls names? They don't have to be 'normal' names, DH and I are both open to any suggestions :)
Thanks in advance :D

I love Bethany too Seekrit :)

I really love the classics like:

Grace
Isabella
Sophia

or some other names that are more modern:

Angel
Beau or
Isabeau (from that movie Ladyhawke, I know corny right but I just love that name LOL :D )

If we have a girl next its going to be Iris Ann after DH mother. So I wont get to use any of my favourites :p

If we have a girl it will be Amelia Mary (Mary is my middle name, my mums, my grandmas etc etc). I love Amelia. I was always going to have an Eva / Ava though.
I also really love Bethany!!
I always found girls names easier. I don't know what I'll do if we have a boy!!!

Good luck! :D

coopsntilly, do you like colours and flowers? Seems to be a trend there. I was just looking and it appears I like names ending with the "a" or "e" sound.

My as yet unused favorite girls name is Johanna, which is the german version of Joanna.

I was going to call DD#2 Johanna Margarete (my great-grandmother's and Grandmother's names respectively), but they didn't seem to suit her, so we chose something else.

Hi Maggiesmum,

If you're not using it (for a baby), can I have it? I really like that name — I hadn't come across it before.

I thought Luka was a boy's name...you could have Lucia.

My daughters first name is unusual, It's Evany...second name Isabella. Please don't say you don't like it :) It took us days to name her.

I've been looking into it, since I like it, and yes originally it was a boy's name. But it seems to be going the way of many other boy's names and becoming unisex.

Sorry, I don't like Lucia.

Liz I'd love you to use it, I love it as a girls name! Spelt with a 'c' it originates from Itally and is a form of 'Lucy' (according to my baby name book) which I think is another really cute name! I have head it used as a boys name and as a surname! But these days I don't think that it really matters, with all the different ways of spelling etc... It'a about what you like and what you think your bubby will grow up liking!

Or we could spell it Louka, like the sassy servant-girl in George Bernard Shaw's Arms and the Man. :)
