My sister inlaw has just found out she is pregnant and has only recently moved to the central coast. Does anyone know of a good family doctor that she could see for her pregnancy around Bluehaven? She also has a 2 year old so she would love a good family doctor, preferably one that bulk bills antenatal. Any help would be appreciated.

Don't know of any doctors, sorry, but the hospital runs ante natal appointments with the midwives. You usually have the same couple of middies.....

Just a thought, hope she finds one!

Wyong hospital is quick ten minute drive down the road from Blue haven.

If she goes to a regular GP anywhere within the area (I'm pretty sure they've just opened a new family medical centre at Lake haven, there's also one at Tuggerah, Westfield inside the chemist. 'Woolworths' end of the shopping centre) The GP's should handle the first set of blood tests-information, then you're given the opportunity to decide which hospital you're interested in going to if it's under public-Usually Wyong /Gosford hospital. They will also arrange your first call from the midwives for your atenatal care classes.
Because she's so close to Wyong it would be reccommended she go to Wyong- It's a great hospital, they have wonderful birthing rooms with balconies, birthing baths, private bathrooms, the recovery rooms are also very comfortable. I had two of the very best IMO- Midwives present during Chloe's birth. And i've heard of others that are quite nice also.

Wish her luck from the random bubhubber being ME! :D

Ps: Sorry, i'm a bit unsure of other medical centres that bulk bill. I travel half an hour away (I'm near Lake Haven) to a wonderful medical centre in Kariong, near Gosford. So I'm never charged, haven't ever been charged even from the beggining of my pregnancy.

I see Dr Lee at Tuggerah medical centre. She is great. I saw her for my first couple of check ups for my pregnancy then got a referal to see an OB (Dr Docker - also fantastic)
I agree with Ashleigh<3 about Wyong hospital. I had bubs at John Hunter hospital, but then transfered back to Wyong and it was great.
