Of course it is!
I just had mine done and I had it done all through my pregnancy is Isabella.
My hairdresser has reassured me its fine.
Plus look at all the celebs who are constantly changing their hair colour while preg and their kids are fine.
Make yourself look beautiful for your wedding, you will be fine.

Just make sure the place is well ventilated - just incase the fumes make you nauseus. During pregnancy your sense of smell can be pretty sensitive.
While modern hair dyes are considered safe, if you are still worried, how about using a natural henna dye?
I use the ones from Lush, I think they are great

I personally would not do it, the chemicals will go into your scalp, but I am overly cautious, so maybe its just me.

of cause you can colour your hair. i am a hairdresser and there is no way that the chemicals go into your scalp. the colour only penetrate to the 1st layer of skin. the only thing u should look out for is the colpour may not turn out as intense or if u r gooing blonde it may be a bit brassy or it may not colour greys 100% or coulf wash out quicker. this is because your hormones play a big part in hair so make sure yoiu do it at least once prior to the wedding so you can be sure to look your absolute best. good luck and all the best for your wedding:hugs:

i read sumwhere that when ur pregnant the dye reacts differently to normally, not sure if thats true or not.
I personally arent taking any risks with chemicals whilst im preggers but thats just me.
I dont really have need to have my heair dyed anyways since im brunette and kinda only dye it a richer brown anyways so i can go without for 9mths.

I have just recently dyed my hair, (and I'm 5 months) and I dyed it when I was pregnant with my son, even went to the hairdressers and had foils done when I was preggers and he turned out just fine!.. I also recently asked 2 hairdressers on separate occasions and they both said it was fine!.. I just think you need to make sure you have good ventilation, and of course DON'T EAT IT! *L*.. hahaha As if ya would!...

Congratulations Cristy on your wedding!
I agree it is ok. I've been told by many a hairdresser and the grapevine of family and friends that years ago there were stronger chemicals used and it wasn't that safe to dye while pregnant but these days technology has improved and colourants have alot less poisons in them.
I personally don't like paying heaps for a hair colour or the smell of the hairdressers so I do it myself at home. If I was getting married however I'd get it done by a professional for that special day.
If you are anxious tell the hairdresser your are preg and be try to sit in a ventilated area or go outside while the colour is setting.

Thanks ladies.
I wasn't so much worried, as I suddenly thought will watching TV, I need to re-dye for the wedding, oh I wonder if I can? that was all really. But thanks for the advise, I'll definately do it now.
I have a flat brown colour hair which after spending money for years at the hairdressers trying different thing I now put a red home job through just to highlight it and give it a bit of a lift and shine.

I had my hair died almost a month ago 2 days before my wedding and it's been fine. The colour hasn't held for as long and my hair has become quite dry and brittle but it's been that way during my entire pregnancy so far so I wouldn't worry about it. I'd say go for it!
