Do you like your EDD?

Just wondering how people are feeling about their expected due dates?:detective:

Mine is 1st of April, which doesn't bother me in the least but whenever its mentioned around hubby-to-be's family I get nothing but comments about how I can't have it then, I have to hold ever etc etc. I must stay i'm getting tired of it. to me a day is like any other day. I don't know if it doesn't bother me also because my sister was born on 1st of April and it never mattered, though I know when Mum had the 1st bub - my bother they held over till April 2nd because she was worried about an April 1st bub, but by no.4 didn't care, also didnt have a choice because she was coming regardless.

So anyway just wondering how other people are feeling about their EDD's?:detective:

well my dates are all over the place so far this is when the baby is due:

28th march (from my cycles)then i was told
3rd april then i was told
1st april and finally i was told
31st march.

so i guess that she is really just going to come whenever she feels like.

i know what you mean about april 1st babies, my family are all Polish and superstitious (my mums actual bday is april 1 but my nanna didnt want that day and since labour started the night before she made the doctors change it to 31st march), so im not allowed to have the baby on april 1

I'm happy with it. OUrs is April 24th and me and my hubbys bday is August 24th so if it comes on time it will be a 24th baby like us.

But yes if people were telling me to keep baking it until they were ready to let it pop I would be getting sick of hearing it too.

Your baby will come when it wants to come unless you are induced.

my EDD has been
28 Apr
1 May
29 Apr

but I will be having a caesar the week before, I'm not sure what day it will be my Dr does caesar deliveries mon, tues & fri, so it will probably be arriving with fanfare on any of these dates

23 Apr
24 Apr (my choice)

so to aswer your question I haven't been too hung up on the EDD, just want an arty little Taurus :)

no i hate my date hehe 1 april aprils fools day thats just cruel HEHEHHE but if i am still pregnant then and no sign of labour i will call my family and say i ahve had her hehe then go nah just kidding april fools day... But in saying that y date have been all over the place too....

My date 6th april
first scan 27 march
2nd scan 31 march
3rd scan 1 april

so they have just left it at the 1 so i am sure she will tun up when she is ready hehe

Our due date is April 14, 2007 - happy with this date .. But plz remember that only approx 5% of babies are born on their EDD (I read that somewhere) ..

I am happy with April 5th, however with my son I was 3 days late, having him!

Should this baby be 3 days late it will be born on DF's Fathers birthday which will be very sweet for the family, as my Father In-law is no longer with us.

I was given heaps of different dates:

Original first doc said: 31st March

Next appointment Midwife changed it to 2nd April.

1st Ultrasound changed it to 5th April.

Last Doc's appointment she thought it should be the 4th April.. to which I sternly corrected her :shame: , because I was sick of different dates and I said well, I'm sticking with the 5th April, which was the ultrasound dates and carefully calculated by baby's measurements!.. And then she said there are hardly any babies actually born on their due date!..

So I am with everyone else on this one! Bub will turn up when she is ready!.. :D

yeah, I don't really think the EDD makes much difference, its just "guideline" LOL.

Cristy I can understand the frustration with 1st of April comments! annoying. I'm close to Anzac day so I've been joking that I'm having one for the country. The look one some peoples faces is priceless. hehehehehe

I've always been told the one date too 28 April. No wonder you guys are all so far ahead of me with things happening to your bellies! You are all early April.

mine is the 1st of April too, and the dr at the hospital actually asked me if I wanted him to move it a day either way, just so it wasnt lol, as some women apparently get all funny about that date, but really, it is just a date, and whats the chance its actually coming on that day. For me I think it would be kind of cool, as my daughter was born on Valentines day, my son was born on the same day as my great aunt, so it would be another memorable date.

We got married on the 1st of April and yes we got a lot of people saying things about it, but in our small town there was actually 2 other weddings on the same day!

a dates a date to me. cant really control when bubs will make an appearance so im happy with the fact he/shes coming whenever :) so long as i dont go over the 9th!!:laughing: i really dont wanna be overdue again..

I'm due around end of March begining of April.
I love that time of year in Brisbane. Summer is coming to an end and the weather is not cold but not hot either.
I will be able to dress my bubby up in cute outfits and snuggle close together without being drenched in sweat....

My dates are changing all the time too, so going with the date I got twice, 17th of April. Plus its in between my expected date 15th of the first U/S date 20th.

My mother wants Mame to come early - on the 13th as thats our 1st year wedding anniversary. It would be nice. Dh doesnt want bubs to be late as the 28th is his brothers birthday and he thinks it'll kinda steal his brothers day.

I dont care, as most of you have said - a dates a date, and you dont have any choice. Unless you are having a c-section that is. It might be a possibility for me so a may have to think on dates if it goes that way.
