Hi all,
Well i was game yesterday & put up all the xmas deco. But now our kitten is climbing up in the tree.
There is now no longer any decorations on the bottom half of the tree cuz of the cat & kids. :shame:

There isn't too much you can do unfortunately we had a terrible time with my mums cat a few years ago as he would climb the tree & he broke branches & everything ! We tried using a water spray this may work with your lo but it didnt with Milo he was a horrible cat lol !
Have you got toys for it to play with ? Maybe even a cat tower with toys may help by keeping it amused.
With any luck you kitten will grow out of it :fingerscrossed:

we had the same problem for four years - we'd often wake to find the 7ft tree on the ground and decorations all over the place.
They eventually grew out of it. Now it's DS first time with a tree so I think we'll be back to square one.

I've heard of people putting wooden playpens around the tree to stop the kids getting the decorations, I guess it depends how big your tree is!!
My naughty kitty is 9 years old now, he used to climb everything including people when he was a baby!!! I just tried my best to keep him away from the tree, and he grew out of it. He still trys to eat the tinsel sometimes.. But he knows when I yell at him to run away quickly!!!
Good luck :reindeer:

the problem comes when your cat uses the tree as a toilet,it was a plastic one and had many hose downs with one of our cats(now deceased). My aunty has a cat who drinks the water under their tree limiting its life span.My current cat likes to roll around in tinsel.so we fill her cat bed with it and it keeps her away from the tree.DP suggested that we hang the tree upside down from the roof this year so 11mth old DS can't get it,But where would the pressies go dear???? :tree:

you can turn the tree the right way up on christmas eve after bubs goes to bed and put the presents out then too

My 2 do that too and the dog nicks baubles :reindeer: - lol If anything its just cute lol:tree:
