Hi:wave:
I use polar fleece liners on the nappies that have just flannel against dd's bottom. But my pockets have polar fleece or suede cloth on the insides already, so I dont bother with those ones. I guess it depends what type of nappies you are using? Polar fleece is great as it pretty much doesnt stain & offers some protection stainwise! Also, they are easy to make- just buy the polar fleece, cut to size & go- no sewing etc because it doesnt frey. I have been using mine for almost a year now and they are still great. What type of nappies do you use?
Cheers, J

If you've ordered a bulk package from BB then Davina chucks in microfleece liners for however many nappies you're getting.
I just about always use liners, except when I know DD2 doesn't have a poo coming and I can't for the life of me remember where I've put the liners after taking them off the line:rolleyes:

The BB's microfleece are fantastic, but I went and got some polar/microfleece blend from Spotlight that is doing just as well. Microfleece is alot thinner than Polarfleece, and I've personally found the microfleece seems to draw the wee away more than the blend. But, having said that, the polar/microfleece is alot softer than the microfleece.

I'd definately recommend using liners with your BB's. It helps to stop stains, and makes it a hell of a lot easier to get the poo out. Newborn poo has a mind of it's own, but at least you'll catch some of it. DD2 has formed poo, so I just take the liner out and shake it in the toilet. The poo literally rolls right of the liner.
I have a couple of BB hemp that have slight stains on the sides of them (leg holes) due to blowouts. Without a liner the whole nappy would have been stained.

As for washing, they just get chucked in with the nappies, so it's not like you have to do any extra with them.

ah k thanks. I orded the combo trial pack from bb's. I might go to the fabric shop tomorrow and see if they've got any fleece

I don't use liners with my BB bamboo, but I hear that some people do with the hemp BB's to add softness, and of course, help with cleaning. I just rinse off DD's sloppy bf poo, pre-rinse with hot water, wash in cold, hang in the sun and never have stains. I find that any marks on my BB's that are still hanging around after a wash are bleached out in the sun.

However, when DD starts solids, I will be much more vigilant with using liners. At the moment, I keep putting them too far from the change table and end up not bothering!

I use liners. Makes clean up easier for sure.

Funny story - hubby was looking after bub for the day. Suprisingly he used cloth instead of sposies. I left him the easy nappies. I was proud of him. He was complaining he did 2 dirties. When I went to change him in a Pea Pod there was a few liners in there! My man was scared!

 Sounds like my DF! He works a fair bit, so I'm the main nappy changer in our house, but whenever he's home and DD2 does a poo I conveniently busy myself with something so that he has to change it:D! She did a massive one a couple of weeks ago for him, and he's soooo thingy about getting poo on his hands. He just wanted to chuck the microfleece liner in the bin:eek: .

I use flushable liners with bubs. I started using them because he was doing a poop at almost every nappy change (as soon as I put the nappy on) and felt like I was "wasting" a nappy, and hence "wasting" water, detergent, etc in washing more frequently.

Now it's brilliant :wizard: - just whip off the liner and poop and dump it in the toilet and we're off!
