I wish I could stop it...I have it myself.
I have tried ginger beer :barf: even made ginger beer ice blocks :barf: and have now got my script for maxalon filled.
Bloody awful when your stomach sits at the back of your throat like a constant nag.

Try the Martin and Pleasance Tissue Salts Comb-S for upset stomach. They are a homeopathic remedy, and I found it very helpful. They are in health food shops and larger chemists.
Crush a tablet in warm water and drink it. It was like a magic bullet for me.
I also found sipping gastrolyte helped when it was really bad, and I had to work. Some herbal teas are good, too. I was using a mostly spearmint tea called "Good Morning" and it certainly helped.
I wasn't heaving, just really nauseous for 20 weeks.

Lavender and Mel, I know exactly how you feel :hugs: Its really awful, I have eaten 1/2 piece of toast and its not helping :banghead: Usually eating helps me, but not today.
Lavender there are some morning sickness tablets, I found them disgusting because they tasted like Ginger....I HATE ginger.
aardvark - those tablets don't have ginger in them do they? Might have to try the Tea.
Hope everyone feels better soon, and it stays as morning sickness not all day sickness :banghead:
Have you tried sea-bands? I am TTC#2, have had the odd morning of blah, popped them on and 20 minutes later felt much better. Now cant say if it is all in my mind but I suffered real bad last time and I do not want to go through that again
:hugs: anyway, cause I know how much it suxs:thumbsdown:

I know how you feel, i had it really bad with DD, so far not too bad this time (touch wood!)
I used the ginger tablets, they didn't make it go away completely, but the helped. Also anything natural generally used for motion sickness can be good, obviously just check with pharmacist.
Hope it settles down for you soon!
On the bright side, they say morning sickness usually shows a strong pregnancy, so try and think on the bright side!

buy some ginger from the supermarket and slice it up and put in some boiled water and then you can sip at it all day, just refill the water and change the slices every now and then. uuugh i dont miss the m/s.

Thank you everyone for the suggestions, I'm trying to go through all of this with out having to let everyone at work know that I'm pregnant.
I feel horrible for complaining about m/s, because I want this baby so much and I do see this as a good sign. I just wish that I would :barf: .DH has been great cooking dinner and do lots of stuff around the house. I love him so much, I wish he could have the m/s.
I feel like screaming to the world 'I'M PREGNANT AND I HAVE MORNING SICKNESS... SO GET OUT OF MY WAY' (maybe I could try that with less capital letters????)

LP hi i know how you are feeling have spent all weekend and today :barf: i went to the doc today and he gave me maxolon tablets i had these with DD and they were the only thing that worked for me as i was in hospital a couple of times from being sick. I had a big whinge in the other thread and feel the same as you i really want the baby but just minus the m/s. He also suggested ginger i have taken ginger tab all weekned and they didnt do anything but ginger beer seemed to help a little. Well hope you start to feel better soon and find something that works for you :)

I've found more recently that eating toast with vegemite has helped - ALOT!
It is full of B6 vitamins, which are helpful with nausea.

i lived on crackers befor ei put a foot out of bed, toast with vege or saladas with vege and oranges. Also mineral water helped me heaps.
showers helped me too.
other than that there is no quick fix, ride it out its horrible but worth it. i was sick for 30 weeks with maikyra nasty nasty stuff but it does get less the further in. i only vomit once a week now in week 17. first trimester i ate whatever i craved and that helped.

Vegimite on toast helped a bit today, but it did come back. I am now relaxing and having a cup of tea and eating Barbeque rice crackers - nearly eaten half a pack

Don't you hate M/S I had a form called Hyperemesis Gravidarum and NO tablets worked as I would chuck them back up. My DH would run out and buy GINGER, AVIL, MAXALON etc etc but I wasn't even able to hold water down.. I was hospitalised and lost 18kg with dd 13 with ds.
I so far have been a little yuck but not as bad as my first 2. I am only 6 and a bit weeks and I usually don't get sick until 7-8wks!!

Here is a link to morning sickness, my form of sickness only affects a few women such a small percentage. However I don't think they are acurate with low birth wieght for babies from HG.. My DD was 8pnd 8 and my lil man was 9pnd 14oz so very healthy birth sizes!!

Just wanted to add 2 things I did try the V6 tablets but I couldn't hold them down. However if you can manage them you can get them from your gp. Also the one tablet I didn't try was blackmores morning sickness tablet.. So maybe have a go at them and see if that improves. My advice is get something quick because once it sets in you won't want to eat anything let alone swallow tablets.:barf:
Just trying to help although my case was entirely different I had the severe morning sickness as I have said and only a small percentage of women have that..

Hiya
Yes it is wierd how all day you could feel so **** and then feel better instantly.. I am at the early stage of m/s and had it hit bad this morning.. I was going shopping and all I could smell was cornflakes (apparently I don't like that smell anymore) I had to lay down I was about to chuck.. So off we went to the shops with a must get PORRIDGE for kids note!!
I learnt from #1 I am put off by smells and they trigger everything else:barf:
