OK i have a few Q's about Lletz i had it done tuesday just gone.
1.Did your cramps get worse as the days go on?My cramps feel like bad period cramps and are worse at night.
2.Did your discharge get heavier as the days went on?My discharge is pink in colour and there is lots of it i am using at least 2-3 pads a day.
3.could this possibly mean i have an infection?
Thanks for your time and i appreciate any answers/advice

I had a Lletz procedure and had almost no discharge, the cramps were like period pain and worse the night of the procedure, but eased up the following few days. I would definitely see your doc tomorrow if you can, just to be sure, the pain and discharge probably shouldn't be getting worse almost a week later. But take it as easy as you can til you can see your doc. :hugs: :hugs: I hope you're feeling better soon.
I would definitely go and see your doc!
I had virtually no spotting and then it was only old blood and I had very little cramping which went away in a few hours.
Hope that it turns out that you are ok ... will be thinking of you!

I was lucky and had no cramping at all, but then again I don't usually suffer period pain, so I dpn't know if that is all related. I had no bleeding or spotting for about 3 days, but then I had very heavy blood discharge for two weeks. One week however I think was my period. I passed one big blood clot (about the size of half an egg) and then a few little ones and that was more at the end of the two weeks.
If your discharge is smelly :barf: , then it would probably be an infection.

I had bleeding for longer than they said it would go for so I called gyno who had me see the surgeon again. I had a low grade infection so they gave me antibiotics and it cleared up straight away.
If you're unsure, call your doc again. You don't want to mess with yout girlie bits.

Most likely normal as I had all this but ring the gyno anyway. :)
Hi all, im not actually trying to concieve yet or anything but am searching the net for info on LLETZ which im having done on Thursday, Im really frightened, and not sure what to expect, i feel like i didnt ask enough questions to the dr and now reading on the net im concerned. Those that have had it done, were you put to sleep? Im worried now after reading about anesthetic injections to the cervix instead, hope thats not what im having :( I dont feel like i can talk to anyone about this, and im really scared about not knowing what to expect. Ive had endometriosis in the past, and as a result i take back to back pills to avoid severe period pain, so im really scared of the pain and bleeding afterwards as i used to also have very heavy periods.
Thanks to anyone that can help, hope its ok i post here, not being a mum, or TTC or anything.
Thanks :o

Hi Geeg,
I had the LLETZ done and it was pretty straight forward.I wasn't put to sleep it honestly wasn't too bad.The did stick a few needles in my cervix to numb it and that was the most painful part, but thats not extremely painful. You do get a few cramps just like a period really.I don't really know about what it would be like for you with the endometriosis but im sure you will be ok.
Good luck hope it all goes well :hugs:
Hi Just wondering if anyone has had a Lletz procedure and had any problems concieving? I am 24 and plan to have kids next year and im having the procedure next week. Appreciate any advise. :)
Hi
Since I had my lletz in 2001, I have been pregnant 3 times.
First time I fell pregnant 1st cycle and carried a whopper of a baby with no cervical problems at all.
Second time it took 2 years of semi-serious ttc but unfortunately bub died when i got incredibly sick with pneumonia.
Third time it took 2 years of again, semi-serious ttc and I ended up with my beautiful Ruby
Bear in mind that I am (yikes!) 14 years older than you, so ttc is going to be a bit harder for me statistically anyway ...
Hope all goes reallly well and that you are holding a beautiful little bundle soon :babydust2:
