Hi!
Does anyone know of a place that sells organic fabrics? Either online or in the brisbane to sunshine coast area? :detective: Im planning to sew a few nappies to add to the nappy stash & thought organic would be the enviromentally sound choice to make:rolleyes: Plus we are finding organic toddler clothes hard to find.
Or if you have anymore suggestions as to enviro friendly fabrics for nappies, that would be great too!
Cheers, J:p

lol- I do that on the alleco site:laughing: I bought some organic cot sheets & clothes for DD and they are soooo devine- I am dead jealous! :D So I pretended I was rich and "went shopping" on there to change everything in my house over to organic!:p
Oh I wish I could find more organic clothing for my 3 year old. I have been looking since he was one. He has severe eczema. I did find one place online - blessed earth. I bought my boy a pair of pants (size 4) from there. Half price too atm!
I would like to be able to sew him stuff so would lke to know where is the best place to buy organic fabrics.

My little boy gets eczema too, we are lucky in that just having 100% cotton clothes, and the right washing liquid helps

I find 100% cotton helps, but organic works even better! We pretty much changed everything over in one hit (clothes, sheets, bath stuff, moisturisers, laundry liquid etc) so Im not sure what made the biggest difference but I think it was mostly the laundry liquid and the zinc and castor oil cream I have been putting on her face and neck. Dont you think it is ridiculous how many organic under 1 organic baby clothes there are- and then you try to find clothes for over 1's and there is pretty much nothing? I think Laura will survive the normal 100% cotton with our other measures in place, but after buying the organic stuff it is hard to go back. It is so much softer and wears really really well. Not to mention the enviromental benifits! I have been trawling websites for weeks looking for clothes and fabrics but there is hardly anything around. alleco has some fabrics though. But not a huge range. I have ordered some waffle knit cotton which I should get in a day or so- I get sewing lessons this saturday (huzzah!) and Im starting out simple with some tea towles so I thought it would be a good op to try out some of the fabric!
