Hi all,

Since early last week, Kaiden has turned on us.

Almost from day one, we could put him in his cot and he would just go to sleep. Now he cries when we put him down and won't settle at all. He is quite happy out in the lounge room with us lying down. He only ever use to cry when hungry.

I thought it might be due to his immunisations he had last Tuesday, and this might account for him being extra clingy, but he is dribbling constantly and anyways has to have something in his mouth. Today he was awake from 3pm until 7pm and would not settle. He is eating normally if not more than usual.

I poked a finger in his mouth and he has lumps in is gums, but he is only 4mths old. I didn't think babies get teeth this early.

Anyone have any thoughts?

Hi there,
Poor bubby!
My son's 10mths old now, he started teething at 4mths and his first tooth appeared at 5mths. He has now got five teeth and the sixth is on its way.
It sounds like your bubby is starting to teeth. Especially if he is dribbling alot and constantly has something in his mouth. My son was the same when he started and extra clingy.
Peter's first tooth to cut through was on the bottom. He got the two bottom ones pretty much straight after each other, then he got his two top teeth, and now the ones next to the top are coming through.
Sounds like your bub had hit the teething stage!
Take care...

Ds started teething at about 4 months too. *hugs* to you! A sling would be really handy now to carry him in while he's unhappy. Brauer's homeopathic teething remedy was like a miracle at our house. I really recommend it!

Kaiden is teething. Found a peg this morning. It has since disappeared.

Welcome also Natalie, to the land of Bubhub

Sorry Janet, can't use a sling. He's nearly 8kg and I have 2 herniated discs in my lower back. Thanks for idea though.

Thanks :)
It's amazing what goes missing when they hit this stage! Whenever i do a clean up, i'm always coming across things that dissapeared months before hand!
Very funny! :)
Brauer is fantastic stuff. I used to be a pharmacy assistant and SO many customes loved it. I did try with Peter but it upset his tummy a bit too much. So we have to stick to Infants Friend and Bonjela.
