Hi guys!
Just wondering if anyone can help me out with some ideas.
Brianna is turning 2 on the 6th of january and I will be throwing her a party.
Being that its so close to Christmas, everyone will be fairly broke so I was going to say (nicely) no presents on the invitation but most of our friends will bring a pressie anyway.
Has anyone got an idea on how to word the invites so people dont feel obliged to buy a present?
Ta!

Maybe something like... Please don't bring gifts, your presence is a lovely present...

I dunno. Just tell 'em outright when you give out the invitations?

 I agree most people will bring something anyway (and so they should,it's herhappybirthday )but i know how you feel as i have DS's 5th bday on the 9th Dec and DH's 30th on the 20th Dec and I fell slack to.I did get an invite once that said something like "We require you presence but not your presents to help us celebrate whatever, whatever"

A friend of mine is having a 1st birthday party for her son and since he is the youngest of 3 boys, she has told us he has everything he needs. Instead of a gift, she is putting together a time capsule for him to open on his 21st birthday and has asked us to bring along something to contribute to that. Perhaps that is an idea you could use?!?!
