Hi all,

Am just sitting here patting my "mummy tummy" trying to think of ways that I can exercise and tone up a bit. It has been almost 8 months since I had bubs and I really want to try and get rid of my baby stomach.

I was wondering what you have tried or have heard of that might help improve things a bit?

Maybe its something you have tried yourself, or a girlfriend/relative has mentioned or even a healthcare professional.

Any and all advice accepted!

Crunches and swimming.

Here it's more of the swimming than the crunches.

Also consciously holding the tummy muscles in during normal activty.

Wouldnt it be great if we got a thread going for all us mums who are worried about bits and pieces of our body and find ways of encouraging other mums to lose weight etc!!

I mean we could share ideas yummy food talk about our bad days and brag about our good days..... Just a thought It might get me into the aerobics class I've been talking about for the last 2 weeks!! LOL

I think making a concious effort to go walking everyday would help in most areas. At least that is a cheap way to exercise without the cost of going to a gym.

Try a Pilates video - there are a few out there, but maybe do a quick couple of sessions first so you know that you are doing it correctly and arent doing yourself any damage.
