Anyone had conjunctivitis during pregnancy?

I have got conjunctivitis in both eyes and my doctor prescribed me Chlorsig Eye drops. I told him I was pregnant and he said it was safe to use it. When I got home I thought I'd double check on the net. And it says that you shouldn't take it if you are pregnant -it can harm the baby!! I rang a few different pharmacies too and they all said it's ok to use it... Ahh! Should I use it or not? Has anyone had conjunctivitis during their pregnancy and used eye drops?
Please help! I need advise...
