I have started to use cloth, I am building up my GK's, but am also using terry flats too. After some advice from you lovely cloth mumma's, I was wondering which nappy cover to buy to go with the flats out of these:

The baby beehinds PUL wrap
http://www.babybeehinds.com.au/shop/proddetail.php?prod=babybeehindspulwrap

The bummis super whisper wrap
http://www.theweewuns.au.com/store/

Terry's are quite bulky, and my lil man has a chubby belly and thighs... so I dont want him too uncomfortable iykwim. Any other suggestions/advice would be excellent!

TIA :hugs:

I've only used the BB's but absolutely love it. I used terry flats until i got BB's fitted, and had some covers that were shocking.
I would suggest getting a couple soakers or wool wraps for night time use. BB has wool wraps that are lovely, but for soakers try http://www.possumpouches.com.au/welcome/page8.php, http://www.withawareness.com.au/store/index.php or http://www.ozebaby.com.au/.
Will have to stop, trying to bf dd2 and type with left hand!

i don't have any myself but i have friends that swear by the bummis super whisper wrap.

they're fairly cheap, and very trim too.
also the bummis pull-on pants are apparently great also

Both are great if you ask me so maybe you should get one of each :p

Thanks girls, have ordered some Bummis :smiliedance: I got one white one, and a froggy one... I wasnt sure what size to order (thats why I only got two for now lol), I ordered one in medium and one large. Does anyone know which size would suit an 8 kg baby, he has a chubby belly and thighs (I want to use them over terry flats)?????

Gremily, I would love to get some wool soakers, but dh hates wool ( ), has since he was little, and has decided Cooper does too

Is that because of the itchy factor of some wool? The soakers aren't itchy, I think it's because of the wool the made from. If you ever get the chance to check one out first hand I'd highly recommend it:thumbsup:

I'd say the medium would fit
I have a large bummis that I use over terry flats and it's huge unless there's hemp & microfibre in the nappy as well. I use terries for when DD is sleeping, thru the day i just put microfibre in the nappy then the cover and when I do it up the tabs talmost touch. At night I do the same but also put hemp between the nappy and the cover (can't do the nappy up properly if I put the hemp in the nappy), anyway, when I do the cover up the tabs have a couple of cm between them. The rest of the time I use flannelette flats and the bummis is huge, it does up with the tabs overlapped and sags everywhere  Oh, and DD is between 10kg - 11kg.
Hope some of my rambling is helpful for you :)

I also recommend wool for night time especially.
I knit with organic wool sometimes - so soft and not itchy at all.
The PUL wraps are good though that u mentioned as they are adjustable at the waist and leg.

I think thats part of it, but not all of it. His mum had Angora goats and had things made out of their wool, and he never liked the feel/look/comfort. I dont know if this type of wool is itchy? Maybe I will just purchase one and try it out when he's not looking :D can anyone recommend a good site?

That was very helpful, thankyou! The medium is perfect, I think we'll have to wait a while to use the large!
So you put the hemp outside the terry? I put it inside yesterday and it leaked, would that be why? Ive only used it 2 other times so far though.

Thanks for your help ladies.

A good site to buy wool soakers? There are a few around. I knit my own. You can always ask a knitter to knit one for you.
I have some wonderful wool and find only the cheaper wools seem to be scratchy.

I put the hemp outside the terry coz it's too bulky to do up if I put it inside. I put microfibre inside the nappy tho. I did have a few leaks before someone suggested that I put the hemp on the outside, I think that was coz the nappy was gaping around DD's legs a bit...the cover did ok containing the leaks, but the side DD was laying on always leaked. :)
