Not sure how much Myer's one are, but have you looked at the Baby express ones? Have a look here http://www.babyexpress.com.au/shop/products.php?cid=249.
Was that what you were thinking??
We have one for every member of the family, but one of mums bowling friends did them. I've seen lots of places at markets do them aswell, some are so beautiful

I got one today it was a clear perspex star it's tips dipped in glitter and his name plaque on it in gold. D1 had a bauble and Ds2 gets a star.
I would say they are easy to make just a glitter glue pen and a bauble.

ooooh do ya mamaduke, i've tried to make them and they turn out like **** :crying:
I paid about $7 it is Hot Pink with Gold glitter writing
They will write what you want.
There are 3 sizes, I wanted the medium but for some reason they don't have that in hot pink so I have the small(about the size of a tennis ball) they do have the medium in electric blue.
They are not overly expensive.
I was in there today & the lady is not there yet, you should call them & ask when it starts.

Hi there!
I work at Myer in the Christmas Department, so can answer your questions.
Most stores now have workers in store working on personalised christmas decorations. If they havent gotten them in yet, they are taking orders.
You will need to go to the Christmas Department and pick out a plain bauble in the colour you desire (ask staff if you cannot find the plain ones)... there are 2 sizes classified as small and 2 sizes as large.
You bring these to the counter in the Christmas Department and ask if the bauble staff are in, if they are not the staff behind the counter will write down your details. Either way you will get your bauble in pretty much the same time, it is first come first serve.
You will then need to pay for your bauble and the staff with add the cost of personalising to the total.
You can choose the colour of the glitter, we do base colours like gold, silver, pink, blue, green.
You can write basically whatever you would like on there... most people opt for "Baby's First Christmas, 2006" and the baby's name or the put the child's name, "Happy Christmas" and the date but it is totally up to you. Just make sure it isnt too long as it wont fit. You can deffinately ask for those dates, no problems!
Most stores also allow you to chose the option of having a glitter picture on there, it varies from store to store on what they do, so just ask. My store does glitter Christmas trees, baby cradles and stars.
They will then give you the receipt and box your bauble. Some stores will ring you when your baubles are ready, but some require you to ring back or just pop in every now and then to check if they are ready, can take up to 2 weeks, but we endevour to get them done asap.
I cant think just how much they are off the top of my head, but cupcake is around the mark anyway.
The quicker you get in there the better, we are starting to get alot of orders and are running out of plain baubles!
Hope this helps... :)
