Inner city/ Melbourne mums

Hi everyone,
I am looking for people like me around Melbourne (I am in Richmond) who are interested in meeting!
I have a 2 year old daughter and 6 week old son, and I am not a member of a mother's group so I feel as if my daughter - who is now starting to want to interact with others - needs some new friends. I wuoldn't mind the social contact either as I only have one friend with kids. I have tried playgroup but it is full of well established relationships and you can't help but feel like an outsider.
I am 29, self employed and very flexible with times and places.

Hi Littlezipper.

There is a meeting of Melbourne Mums on Friday 21st at Chaddy shopping centre. You're really welcome to come along, we have new mums joining us each time so it's not at all cliquey.

We meet outside Pupkin Patch at 10.30 and have coffee and chat at the David Jones cafe.

The kids come along, I just make sure I have a few snacks etc see you there if you make it.

The kids have all been fine at the previous ones, sitting in their prams or at the table. Hope you can make it along.

I would love to but can't make it tomorrow. Unfortunately Friday's are really hard as we have commitments every Friday. I will keep an eye out for your next meeting details though as I would love to come along if the time permits.

In any event, if people are still interested in a park meeting for the kids to play or something similar.... I will be there!

Just caught this thread today. Wondering if there is a November meeting for Melb mums at Chadstone again? I am about 12 minutes drive from chadstone with good traffic.... :rolleyes:
