i am curious as to why you have been told you should? I do but only because I feel more comfortable wearing one then not.
Yep! I wear one to bed - can't stand not to! I didn't know you were supposed to.. TMI but I used to sleep with nothing on before I had DD - now I can't stand the feeling of naked boobs!! Sorry!!
Cheers!
Yes, I wear one, but only because I have to. For some reason I get really engorged through the night. It does get uncomfortable, but I can't see any way around it.
Yes,me too.I've been wearing a bra 24/7 for the last eight months lol. It's just so much more comfy than not wearing one.

When i asked i was just told "because you should"
I did it for the first month but found it too painful to be honest. Maybe its because i've only ever worn one of a day.
Thanks

I did when I fed the previous two babies, and will again for this one.
Leakage started as being the main reason - you need something to hold the breast pads in place, then comfort became an issue as the engorgement settled.
i have been wearing one 24/7 for the past 7 1/2 months. i used to wear no bra to bed but I also don't like the feel of no bra now.
there are some really comfy ones out there. my most comfy mat bra is a best n less one. there is also a good elle mcpherson bra in the underwear stores that is more like a crop top. a lot of people recommend them to.

I'm with you! Hubby and I both used to be nudies prior to bubs but now its pjs all the way. I guess its easier when you never know now whether you'll have to get up to a crying little one in the middle of the night!
The bra thing (I heard) was supposed to be for support so you don't get all droopy. I never had a problem with leakage so didnt' need breast pads but I too find it weird being bra-less these days. I dont' know why? Just one of those things I guess. But it is uncomfortable wearing one all the time! But on the nights I don't, I regret it in the morning.
Weird.

Maybe if i find a really comfy one i wouldn't mind so much :o Talk about being the odd one out :p

I wore a regular maternity bra to bed in the very early days. A really comfy soft one from Target. The a friend told me about crop tops and I started wearing these a little later and these were the best for me. I also wore them during the day as I found them easier than regular maternity bras. The Bonds ones in particular. Then after about 6 months, I think I did away with them altogether at bedtime but still obviously wore them during the day. :D
P.S: I only wore one to bed because of leaking as I could keep my breastpads in. That was the only reason for it. Then I wore it out of habit and then as I mentioned did away with them altogether.

I do but only because I leak heaps at night! I wear a bra or shelf singlet just to hold the breast pads in place.

Nope, wouldn't dream of it LOL. I never knew there were so many rules about stuff! When I leaked lots, I slept on a doubled over towel and just got a clean one every day. I only leak a little now so it just gets absorbed by my tshirt and then washes out. For some women it helps them feel comfy but for some it can lead to blocked ducts. Obviously everyone's worked out how best they sleep here :)
Hi,
I used to sleep with a bra on in the early days (first 6 months). Only because I used to leak HEAPS!!! I hate wearing one to bed and tried the towel thing but I move around so much in bed it didn't really work for me. I was so glad to be rid of the bra in the end, so now that I am preg again I am really appreciating not wearing one!! :D

RB ... I have to have a giggle at "you should", some people who hand out advise really "should" ;) back it at occassionally.
I would love to wear no bra but these new boobs of mine need containing ....I even feel uncomfortable when I take my bra off to have a shower. And ditto pp ... I was always a nudie sleeper.
so if you can .... be free, boobies and all!
I too was always a naked sleeper, but now that ds has an obsession with twiddling my other nipple, I need to wear a bra, just to keep his wandering hands away!
hi kimmy here, im new to this but yes i did for the first couple of months only because they would fill up so much if i didnt But now 7 month into it i dont have to worry about that & doing fine.

I'm so lucky, i don't leak. Haven't since about 2 months ago. If i do its only first thing in the morning and from the side i'm not feeding from.
Thanks for the insight ladies :) Think i'll go out tomorrow & have a look at some crop tops.

I do and don't depends i like not to as letting my boobs leak is good so i dont get engorged and much easier to roll over and let bubby find his own way!!!! so many times i've woken up and thought gee ive been feeding him for over 2hrs then realise he put himself back on.. lol,. ;) but who ever said its for support I sleep lying down not much dropping gonna happen there!!!!!!!!!!
each to her own, though!!! :D
