Has anyone heard of putting Apple cider vinegar in water, drinking it before meals and it suppost to make your weight loss quicker or easier???

I had never heard of that before, but a lady I was talking to today, said that it really works. Anyone done it?

I was told to do it by my Natropath.
It can't hurt to give it a go.

Tried it and omg that vinegar is soooo disgusting! The only way I figured it worked was the fact that I certainly didn't feel hungry after downing the vinegar all I felt like doing was throwing up or actually did throw up:barf:

Aloe Vera Juice was another one recommended to me once for the same thing (lose weight) it was easier to drink but I don't think it really worked:no:

Don't know about weight loss, but my DP has it when he has a sore throat. He mixes it with a bit of honey and water.... He swears it works.

:barf: Not me thanks... yuck!!

Oh and she claims it does work but she eats pretty health anyway - she's been doing WW for years.

She drinks it 3 x a day :barf:

I tried it for about a week. I put honey in with mine. Much better.
I should try it again cause its supposed to be good for lots of things as well as an appetite suppressant and I think its supposed to break down the fat in food.
The one with the "mother" in it is the best.

Its worth a try anyway.

I actually love vinegar so it did not worry me, you can just have a teaspoon of it or mix it with water.
It also helps if you have a glass of warm lemon water first thing in the morning(gets things moving inside) I did this with a healthy diet so I guess it just helped along with the eating well.

I was doing that for a while and god it burns your asophagus going down. You can feel that warm feeling in your tummy too - yuk.

My MIL and FIL have a teaspoon of it every single morning when they wake up.

MIL is a health freak and swears by it.

My SIL had tablets with apple cider vinegar in them (powder). I have no idea where she got them from or the brand. But they worked REALLY WELL and she never had to taste it!!

It is supposed to be very good for lowering cholesterol. DH was using it, and his dropped from 6.1 to 5.3 in 3 months (was eating better and exercising more too) until the navy decided he needed the drugs anyway.

Hello, just refreshing this old thread!!

I bought some organic apple cider vinegar (with the "mother" in it) last week to treat a plantar wart I have on my foot, but I was researching it on the web and wow the stuff seems to be like a magic potion for curing anything and everything!!

Does anyone else take it?? I've been having a tablespoon with a glass of water morning and night. It tastes a bit yucky but I can tolerate it, and surprisingly I've found it doesn't burn on the way down or anything nor does it irritate my tummy. I'm taking it primarily to help my blood pressure but its also meant to be good for getting rid of toxins and just general health!!!

Its also meant to be good for morning sickness and acid reflux, wish I knew that a couple of months ago!!!

i was told a teaspoon in a cup of water twice a day. i thought okay, it's disgusting stuff, but okay..
didn't even finish the first cup. within a few sips i had a scratchy throat. within a couple of days i had a headcold. caused me to call in sick to a 9hr shift at work today. i *think* i'm getting sick pay for it but even so. i've never had any problems with vit suppliments but apple cider vinegar?
apparently it's a good immune booster. i give it to my baby tiel for that reason, the vet told me to. no wonder he shows signs of having a scratchy throat :(
