DD had to have quite a few xrays within the first few months of life, and she had a few more last month when she was in hospital. I guess you just gotta weigh up the possible unknown issues with x-raying babies, with the reason your getting it in the first place.

I'd rather get the x-ray for the problem at hand now, rather then worry about unknown future problems, thats just my opinion though...good luck :)...hope you DD is ok:hugs:

Hi, my DS had to be injection with a radioactive dye before having a scan done (kind of like a constantly running x-ray) when he was a week old. He had to wear a sticker for the rest of the day saying that he was radioactive, but he had no effects from it at all. He is 9 now and perfectly healthy.

Good luck with everything.

Usually i would just giver her her dummy, and have to hold her down..When she had croup it was horrible, she was on oxygen and had just had adrenilin(sp?) and god i felt horrible...Once i was lucky enough for her to be half asleep, but yeah, generally you just have to hold them still.

It's over pretty quick now, and most places can check them immedtially to make sure they got what hey need, instead of having to wait for 20 minutes to find out that you have to do it over again.

And by the way, i always open it up and find out the results. You're the parent, It puts your mind at ease, and your going to see them in 3 days anyway.

What exactly is it going to be for if you dont mind me asking?
