Great thread:thumbsup: I'm having the same problem myself lol ;) i have 2 weeks to go and am getting married on the beach the only thing that i can think of that df really wants is Angels by Robbie Williams so we will see, still not sure yet lol.
I'm not even really sure that we will have set music iykwim? i may just put in a meditation/relaxation cd and just let it play so it's just going softly in the background???
good luck and i will be keeping an eye on this thread!!

Well - we had our first dance to Everything I do and it wasn't pan pipes, but it was sung by a duo, not a cd (okay - so it was nothing like how you had it, but I love this song).
We had You're the Inspiration by Peter Cetera when we signed the register, but would have been happy to walk down the aisle to this or Glory of Love.
I have a pack of three cd's - Wedding Album, which has all the traditional songs too (we had one of those to actually walk down to - would have to check which one). Come to think of it Mim - it wouldn't be too hard for me to organise to lend you these cds.
PS My aisle was in Kings Park - so not big and churchy.

I like that new version of "Somewhere Over The Rainbow" by the guy.
It's nice for a beach wedding.
Picking songs is so hard. Good Luck :fingerscrossed:

I didnt want lyrics at all - I just wanted really moving music! So I walked down the aisle to 'Lullaby' - its track 4 on the Bond girls classical album. They're classical violinists. Even if you dont like classical music - I can guarantee you will love this!
We then signed the registry to an acoustic version of Bittersweet Symphony. The way that music sounds is emotional enough - it was fantastic.
One of my girlfriends signed their registry to I'm a believer! It was hilarious! LOL!

I walked down the aisle to "Leather & Lace" by Stevie Nicks & Don Henley. We also had "Not Enough Time" by INXS, "Beautiful Day" by U2 & "This Old Love" by Lior.
Definitely a mixture, but all the songs meant something to us.

I love "At last" by Etta James.
Etta James
At Last
At last
My love has come along
My lonely days over
And life is like a song
Ooh, at last
The skies above are blue
Well my heart was wrapped up in clover
The night I looked at you
I found a dream
That I could speak to
A dream that I could call my own
I found a thrill
To press my cheek to
A thrill that I have never known
Well You smile
you smile
Oh and then the spell was cast
And here we are in heaven
For you are mine at last

There is a Paul Kelly song called 'Unil Death Do Them Part' which we had playing while be signed the register. We just had a man and his guitar and it sounded gorgeous!
Other songs we had were The Beatles 'The Two of Us' and Lou Reid 'This Magic Moment'

I had the "balcony scene" music from Baz Lurhman's Romeo and Juliet soundtrack (instrumental). It was an outside garden wedding....
But to be honest, I was so fixated on my beautiful hubby that it could have been Bootilicious playing in the background and I wouldn't have noticed!
Hi there!
Here's my suggestions:
"Somewhere over the rainbow" - Reggae version from the movie "50 first dates". You can by the soundtrack CD if you like it!
"Forrest Gump Suite" - also from the movie soundtrack so you can by the CDs.
These two would be perfect for a beach wedding.
Goodluck!
Love,
Nan. xx

I walked down the aisle ( stairs! ) to Enya - May it be. We got married in NZ surrounded by native bush - it totally added to the ambience..... it's also from Lord of the rings I think.
Good luck finding a tune.
