Celebrate brisbanites - its raining! my lawn isn't going to burn now with all the fertilizer I put on yesterday.

It's been raining here for 3 hours. Just hope the dams got some.

I worked last night (Freedom at Capalaba) and I agree how wonderful it was to come out of work at 9pm to walk to my car in the rain. Still looks overcast today so lets keep our fingures crossed that there might be a bit more. Claire

I am very annoyed. It has only been spitting here for about an hour last night!!!! I am soooo desperate for it to rain, my tanks are nearly empty again and I am sick of buying water!!!

Hey, I'm just down the road from you at Carseldine and it's still raining here,

It rained all day, not really heavy, I love it, we so desperately need it don't we.

I think it started about 8pm last night and has not stopped. We have a tin roof and I just love laying in bed listening to the rain on the roof.

Bring on the typical Qld summer, it's about time we had one.

An entire day of beautiful, tinkly, wondrously miraculous soaking rain ...

Sorry kaidensmum - I don't share your sentiment about the lawn (they waste water - bah humbug I know but I'm married to a horticulturalist!), I'm more concerned about the trees and plants. A lawn will ALWAYS come back but plants and trees don't.

Good news all round anyhoo!

Hi girls,

It seems silly to get excited about the rain, but I was brought up in the South Island of NZ and anyone who's been there, knows it rains lots and it is the only thing I miss (apart from the junk food). My lawn now looks acceptable (and the plants and trees too supermum!)

I read in the paper last week, that Brisbane is going to get some hummer storms soon. Suppose to be end of Oct beginning of Nov for all summer! Nice. Bring on the rain and thunder!
