My 6 month old DS wont hardly drink water. He wont drink it out of bottles or the cup with spout. Would he be getting enough fluid from his food/formula? Should I keep persisting? (which I will)

They say that breast milk and formula have enough water in them anyway, I tried to give DD some water and she just spat it out so I haven't bothered trying again. I just thought I'd leave it for a while before trying again so she doesn't get completely turned off.

The CHCN said to me to put a little bit of brown sugar in DS water, i did it once and ever since DS loves water and drinks about 2 bottles a day.

If your bubs is a winter baby maybe its just still too cold for him yet. Once summer comes around he might be more thirsty then.

My mum could never get me or my brother to drink water or juice but my son loves water cant get enough. So maybe its just personal preference.

some babies just dont like water for some reason, i know my son didn't and he never really drunk much water till he was close to age 1, my advice would be to offer water at each solid feed, and a couple of times in between, also I know this is bad but you could put a teeny tiny little bit of honey in the water or brown sugar, but only a teeny tiny bit, only do it the once though cause i can have a laxative effect on bubs,

they will drink when they are thirsty, so don't stress about it, if your really worried and don't like any of thoes ideas you could just make up some formula and water it down more
