This is my first post so i'm very excited to be apar of this site as I have never done this before! I was looking for some advice in relation to my 4 yr old lil girl. We recently moved house & changed daycares & I think this has something to do with her starting to wet the bed again. We get her to wear the princess pullups but they are very expensive & she promises to get up & go the toilet so she doesnt have to wear them & then ends up wetting the bed again! does anyone have any ideas on how to get her out of the princess pants...im at a loss for ideas & I dont want her to keep thinkin that she's still a baby in nappies? :hugs:

Night-dryness is not behavioural at all. She can promise all she likes, but she doesn't wet the bed out of bordeom, forgetfulness or naughtiness. It is physical. As kids grow older, their brain starts producing a hormone which concentrates their urine, meaning they can hold it all night. Some kids are producing this hormone at age 3, some not until age 5. If your child is not night-dry by age 7 then medical attention may be necessary. But until then, there's no much you can do. You can encourage her to empty her bladder right before bed. And when you go to bed, you can get her up to sit on the toilet. But there isn't anything you can do to stop it, because it really is purely physical.
I can't stand how expensive those Pull-Ups are, too. There are cloth options, Happy Heiny's do a pre-schooler night time training pants. Head over to the Cloth Nappy discussion area, and have a look through the old threads.

And WELCOME to bubhub!!!

We recently moved house & changed daycares & I think this has something to do with her starting to wet the bed again.

Sounds like she just needs some time to settle into the new house and daycare. If she was fully toilet trained before the upheaval(sp?), she will settle again once things become familiar again. I know my DD gets upset when things around the house change or her routine is altered.

We had the same trouble with my 5 year old about 6 months ago (when we moved house and daycare!). He started wetting the bed about 5 nights a week - we thought he'd gone backwards somehow and we'd have to retrain him again at night - but hang in there because they will stop. He stopped after about 3- 4 weeks. I guess he was finally happy with his changes!
