help me work out when! please!

anyone have any idea or stories for me on whether an early test should be just dismissed, no matter what the pack says about when you can test....: we tested a few days ago and got a BFN....does that mean that is it? or is there still a chance? if we wait til after AF has passed (please AF dont come!) then how can that change ? are the hormones way different after just 1 week of waiting?

we used fortel (they are cheap n nasty but seem to be easy to read anyway) GIMMEEE TWO LINES please!!! :0)

So AF is due on the weekend, i'd probably just wait till AF is late and do another test, some tests say that they can be as accurate as 7-10 days before your period is due, but your hormones do increase dramatically even after one or two days. I'd still hold out hope. And goodluck you get your :bfp: soon :D

with dd1 i tested a few days before af was due....it was very dark....

they only suggest not to test before your period is due in case of spontanous abortion..... so keep testing i say...

I got a BFN everyday from DPO 10 until DPO 15 when I got my BFP! I hope the waiting goes fast for you, good luck! :)

i got 4 :bfn: with ds and that was after af was due. bout a week late then i got my :bfp:

The other to make sure is to wait until early morning to test - your urine has stronger concentration of hormones. I did my test the day before I was due (according to ovulation date) at 5.30am - was a faint but positive nonetheless. If ever in doubt get your GP to send you for a blood test.

beta HCG levels (the hormone tested for in the urine test) double every two days in early pregnancy. So my advice is to wait a few days and test again. Also, as WeloveHarriet mentioned, the early morning urine will give you a positive result a bit earlier due to the increased concentration.

I had a feeling last year that I may be pregnant the day after unprotested sex. I dont know why I just had a feeling. I shared my concerns with a friend who suggested doing an early pregnancy test which came back negative. I still had the same feeling and repeated the test 2 days before AF due still negative. One week later I still couldnt shake the feeling despite DH saying I was being ridiculous. 3rd test :bfp: so I would say wait until your late and then do the test:fingerscrossed:
